Chen Qingyu rose to the top of the Immortal Heaven Ranking, defeated Wu Chenkong, and uncovered a conspiracy involving stolen authority from the Supreme Void Eternal World Mirror. After the Supreme Void Dao Realm closed and the Ninth Ancestor revealed that the Great Void Primal Spirit had reincarnated, Chen Qingyu prepared to travel while Chen Zhengxing began telling him about his parents’ past.

• Chen Qingyu broke through to the Divine Shore Realm, defeated Chang Helie, and climbed the Immortal Heaven Ranking until he reached second place.
• Chen Qingyu overcame Wu Chenkong’s Dragon Qi suppression, killed him with Drawing Out Primordial Yang, and became Supreme Void Young Venerable and the ranking’s top cultivator.

Chen Qingyu traveled south with Wu Su'e after learning the truth about his family and the coming bloodline exchange, then gained new powers at Heaven-Reaching Sword Gorge. As the Heavenly Sword Saint King's inheritance emerged, the summit's sword formation began testing the gathered Venerables for sword Dao talent.

• Chen Zhengxing told Chen Qingyu how nonhuman races had nearly destroyed the Chen Clan, then explained that Chen Qingyu and his sister were bound by an agreement to exchange bloodlines when he came of age.
• Chen Qingyu accepted that the ritual could not be stopped and prepared to visit his mother and sister, while the Ninth Ancestor gave him a new identity, a protective pill, and Little Seventeen as a hidden Dao protector.
• Chen Qingyu left the Divine Capital, traveled through Four Directions City and Liyang City, and joined Wu Su'e on the journey south toward Heaven-Reaching Sword Gorge.
• Chen Qingyu checked in at Heaven-Reaching Sword Gorge and gained Qiangliang’s Ancestral Witch lightning talent and the True Dharma of Commanding and Controlling All Lightning.
• Chen Qingyu and Wu Su'e reached Heavenly Sword Mountain, where Chen Qingyu defeated the Eighteen-Family Alliance's contestants and earned passage to the summit.
• The Liangshan Wang Clan arrived seeking the final portion of the Heavenly Sword Saint King's inheritance, and Wang Pojun recognized Chen Qingyu and Wu Su'e.
• Chen Qingyu checked in again and gained the Nine Hells Heavenly Punishment Sword's sword soul, then continued strengthening his lightning abilities as the Saint King's sword intent neared its end.
• The Saint King's afterimage appeared and announced that the inheritance would emerge when his sword intent faded, but a white light swept everyone from the summit and formed a sword trial that Chen Qingyu and Wu Su'e entered.

Chen Qingyu claimed the Heavenly Sword Saint King's inheritance for Wang Pojun, then helped the Wang Clan uncover and defeat the Eighteen-Family Alliance's plot inside the Heaven-Swallowing Ba Serpent. Chen Guangsheng rescued the survivors and took Chen Qingyu aside at Heaven-Reaching Sword Gorge.

• Chen Qingyu crossed Heavenly Sword Mountain's sword formation and gave its inheritance to Wang Pojun in exchange for a divine weapon, reconciliation between the Chen and Wang Clans, and Wang Pojun's succession as Dao Son.
• After the inheritance broke the summit's suppression, the Heaven-Swallowing Ba Serpent swallowed the mountain and its Venerables, trapping Chen Qingyu and the others in its strange inner space.
• Chen Qingyu gathered survivors with a beacon and learned from the eldest Wang brother that Corpse Demon Poison was driving Venerables mad and that the Eighteen-Family Alliance was suspected of setting the trap.
• Chen Qingyu reunited with Wu Su'e and joined the Wang brothers' forces as they followed Wang Pojun's sword talisman to the Eighteen-Family Alliance and its golden-masked leader.
• The Wang brothers and their allies attacked the alliance, while Chen Qingyu confronted the masked woman and killed her with a lightning sword strike after she injured him with the Dao of Ripples.
• Wu Su'e and the Wang Clan's sword talismans killed the remaining alliance fighters, but Chen Qingyu warned that the woman's body might have been a puppet and her true body could still be alive.
• The eldest Wang brother revealed Chen Qingyu's identity as Chen Shaojun and asked him to summon his Dao Protector, so Chen Qingyu called forth his ancestor Chen Guangsheng.
• Chen Guangsheng rescued the survivors from the serpent, subdued it, and returned Chen Qingyu and Wu Su'e to Heaven-Reaching Sword Gorge, where he asked Wu Su'e to leave so he could speak with Chen Qingyu.
