The silver talisman suddenly turned cold, like crystals formed from layers of snowflakes.

Klein shivered, his mind instantly clearing, and his fear and panic seemed to freeze briefly.

He hurriedly infused his Spirituality into the talisman, and used his fingers to push the thin silver piece out of his pocket, letting it fall to his feet.

Dark red flames appeared in mid-air, accompanied by faint, continuous explosions.

A sense of tranquility and profound stillness instantly filled the room, enveloping half of the bedroom, Madam Shermane, " The Sleepless " Kenley, and even Klein himself!

The " Sleeping Charm " is an item that does not distinguish between friend and foe; when used normally, it needs to be thrown at the enemy.

In this way, I would at most be affected by the aftereffects, and would not be unable to resist the temptation to fall asleep.

Now, Klein's arm is entangled by countless invisible threads, preventing him from throwing out the talisman. He can only exchange his own slumber for Madam Shermane's deep sleep!

However, he had long considered and prepared for similar situations, because it involved his own unique characteristics, which differed from those of most mid- to Low-Sequence Beyonder.

In an instant, Klein's eyelids drooped, and he abnormally fell into a deep sleep, into a dream. Madam Shermane and the dazed Kenley also slowed down and paused.

In this abnormal pattern, Klein quickly regained himself in his dream and rationally knew that he was fast asleep.

He can remain conscious whenever there is a forced dream invasion or a Hypnosis effect!

This was the case when encountering Dunn's Nightmare abilities, and it was also the case when Daly used her Spirit Channeling!

Snap!

Klein forcibly broke free from the dream and woke up, only to find that the countless fine threads binding his arms, legs, and body had loosened slightly and were no longer taut. Madam Shermane, standing next to the full-length mirror, looked dazed, seemingly about to break free of the " Sleeping Charm " but not yet truly awake. Kenley Lee collapsed to the ground, the " Spirit Medium's Mirror " lying upside down nearby, and a revolver bounced to the door.

Chance!

Klein seized the opportunity when the threads loosened, withdrew his left palm, snapped his fingers, and lit a pale blue Spirituality flame, which he then used to scorch the countless threads in front of him.

At the same time, he raised his right hand to the revolver and pulled the trigger repeatedly.

Bang! Bang!

Two silver Demon Hunting Bullets emerged from the barrel and shot towards Madam Shermane.

Klein didn't check the result. He bent his knees, strained his back, and rolled towards Kenley, tearing off the thin threads binding his body.

His purpose in firing the shot was primarily to notify the captain outside, to inform Dunn Smith that something had happened inside and that combat had begun, requesting immediate rescue. Of course, if he could hit Madam Shermane directly, that would be the best outcome, the most ideal development!

But Klein didn't think an Beyonder, who might be Sequence 7 or even Sequence 6, would be so easy to deal with.

Suddenly, wisps of pale blue flames burst into flame in mid-air—those were thin, burning threads—and in this dreamlike scene, two silver Demon Hunting Bullets accurately struck Madam Shermane's body.

Click, click!

Madam Shermane, dressed in a semi-transparent nightgown, her body, barely visible, crumbled like the red moon in the lake. The full-length mirror beside her shattered, most of the pieces becoming fragments smaller than a thumbnail, with a few still hanging on the frame, each resembling a strangely shaped palm.

A substitute? The extraordinary ability of the Witch Sequence? Klein glanced over and saw that he had already rolled to Kenley's side. Because the thin threads were torn by his movement, the pale blue flames in mid-air did not spread over.

At this moment, Madam Shermane disappeared, while Kenley, who was "sleeping," stretched out his hands and grabbed his own neck, choking until saliva dripped from his mouth and his tongue lolled out, yet he still refused to let go.

However, Klein's Spirit Vision revealed nothing strange nearby!

He suddenly recalled a description from the Sealed Artifact "-0271":

The most dangerous situation is seeing yourself!

"Could it be that Kenley just saw his reflection in the Sealed Artifact '-0271' through the full-length mirror?" A thought flashed through Klein's mind, and without thinking, he pulled out another silver talisman.

It is triangular in shape and is a " Requiem Charm ".

"Crimson!"

As Klein uttered Ancient Hermes, he infused them with Spirituality and threw out the talisman.

Then, he pressed down with his left hand and touched the " Spirit Medium's Mirror ".

He had just checked out of the corner of his eye that the Sealed Artifact was facing down and wouldn't reflect his image.

The triangular silver rune ignited with an icy blue flame, a soft and serene blackness enveloping Kenley and affecting Klein himself.

The tension and unease dissipated instantly. Kenley's grip on his own neck suddenly slowed. Klein no longer felt like he was on a battlefield, but rather like he was standing in front of a bay window at home, looking down at the quiet street in the dead of night. Both his body and mind found peace.

This is exactly the change Klein wanted!

At this moment, he entered a state of extreme tranquility, as if he were the only person left in the world, and nothing else existed.

Using this feeling, an intuitive thought suddenly flashed through his mind:

Madam Shermane is going to attack my right hip!

This was the Clown's precognitive ability in battle. Without hesitation, Klein grabbed the " Spirit Medium's Mirror " and rolled to the left.

The moment he made a move, a dagger engulfed in black flames silently pierced the spot where he had just been standing, aiming for his right waist.

Madam Shermane's figure was once again sketched out.

In the midst of the tumbling, Klein suddenly lifted the " Spirit Medium's Mirror " and shone it on Madam Shermane!

His main purpose in approaching Kenley, besides rescuing his companions, was to retrieve this Sealed Artifact.

Otherwise, he didn't think he could hold out against Madam Shermane until the captain arrived to help and achieve a good outcome. The " Solar Flare Charm " can be used against Beyonder, but it's not as effective as bullying Death, and the undead won't just stand there and let you use the talisman.

If all else fails, Klein will have no choice but to risk using the " Azik Copper Whistle ".

We can discuss explanations after our lives are saved!

However, things turned out better than Klein had anticipated; Madam Shermane chose to assassinate him, without interrupting his attempts to use the Requiem Charm and hold down the " Spirit Medium Mirror."

Klein instantly devised a simple plan: not to dodge the aftereffects of the "Requiem" effect, thereby enhancing the " Clown's" precognitive abilities, and then seize the opportunity to evade the attack and use the " Spirit Medium's Mirror " to reflect the enemy!

Madam Shermane, wearing a semi-transparent nightgown, missed her attack and was about to chase after her agile, tumbling opponent when she suddenly saw a mirror with three small cracks.

A ripple appeared in the mirror, revealing the figure of a woman. Her hair was thick and black, hanging straight down and obscuring her face.

Klein flicked his left hand, and the " Spirit Medium's Mirror " slid forward several centimeters along the carpet, facing upwards.

A pale hand reached out from the mirror, and the figure of a woman dressed in a white, sheet-like dress scrambled out of the mirror and pounced on Madam Shermane.

Madam Shermane's expression darkened slightly, and her once innocent brown eyes turned a deep black.

Seven black flames then began to swirl around her.

With a whoosh, a black flame shot out and struck the woman in the white dress whose face was covered by long hair.

Ugh!

The woman burst into flames, groaning in pain, and quickly disappeared.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!

Black flames, like bullets, shot towards Klein.

Klein's pupils contracted, and he quickly rolled over, not daring to pause for even a moment.

However, his rolling movements gradually became sluggish as nearly invisible threads wrapped around him, slowing him down and affecting his movements.

This is practically the nemesis of the Clown's fighting abilities!

A black flame grazed Klein's face and landed on Madam Shermane's large bed, but it did not burn; it seemed to only affect living things or things with Spirituality.

Before Klein could even feel relieved that he had dodged the attack, a premonition suddenly flashed through his mind.

So he suddenly pulled his spine, changing his forward roll to a side roll.

A transparent ice crystal spear suddenly appeared, piercing the carpet and the next spot that Klein had originally intended to hit.

White frost spread, affecting Klein, whose movements were being hindered by the fine frost.

He suddenly shivered, his body stiffened, and although he could still move, he was quite sluggish.

Seeing new black flames swirling around Madam Shermane and a transparent frost spear materializing in her hand, Klein no longer hesitated, reaching into his pocket and grasping the Azik Copper Whistle.

Load, load, load.

Just then, Kenley broke free from the effects of "requiem" and "slumber," got up, and stared blankly at Madam Shermane.

A shadow seemed to hang over his face, silent and eerie.

With a thud, " Kenley " lunged toward Madam Shermane was closest to him.

Madam Shermane narrowed her eyes and let the black flames swirling around her shoot out one after another, hitting " Kenley " on the body.

With a series of soft pops, the black flames vanished like snowflakes, failing to achieve any effect.

Klein was taken aback for a moment, then raised his right hand and fired a shot at where Madam Shermane was currently located.

Bang!

Madam Shermane dodged in advance and threw her Frost Spear, but it only pierced Kenley's clothing, failing to penetrate his skin or create a freeze.

Bang! Klein fired another shot, Madam Shermane dodged to the broken full-length mirror and picked up a palm-sized shard.

She continued to move nimbly, dodging bullets, and used the irregular shrapnel to shine on " Kenley " who was rushing towards her again, reflecting his image in the mirror.

Immediately afterwards, Madam Shermane dodged while wiping the mirror with her hand covered in black flames.

At this point, Klein ran out of bullets and had to throw the revolver, letting the spent cartridges and the pistol fall onto the carpet.

He had just rolled over and picked up Kenley's revolver when he suddenly heard his teammate scream.

" Kenley " stopped, bent over and began to vomit, vomiting bile, a bright red heart, and lungs and stomach that were burning with black flames.
