When Klein looked down again, he could no longer see the strange candle wrapped in something resembling human skin in his hand, but a faint, sweet fragrance still lingered around his nose.
Ignoring the Bishop Utravsky lying in a pool of blood, he took out his matchbox and lit a match with a flick of his wrist.
As the spark ignited, the blood on the ground quickly disappeared, and the chaotic church hall returned to its orderly state.
The Giant- like Utravsky slowly rose to his feet, looked down at Klein, and said with Distortion face:
"It didn't work..."
"No wonder you dared to take this job."
"However, this is your misfortune; I didn't originally intend to kill you."
As he spoke, the candlelight on both sides of the church began to flicker noticeably, and the entire hall suddenly brightened, but softly and gently, like the Dawn shining in just as night had ended.
The unseen spirit was rapidly fading away. Klein didn't waste any words; he threw away the match, puffed out his cheeks, and imitated a sound:
"Bang!"
An invisible Air Bullet shot out and struck Bishop Utravsky heavily in the chest, producing a clear and resounding crack. However, the " Giant " bishop had somehow donned a full set of silver-white armor covering his entire body, including gauntlets, a breastplate, and a crown and helmet.
At this moment, the silver-white "metal" on his chest was cracked like a spider web, but it was not completely broken and was even slowly recovering.
"Bang! Bang!"
Klein fired repeatedly, creating two Air Bullet linked end to end, sending them hurtling toward the enemy's chest in an attempt to break through the defenses there through continuous attacks!
However, he saw that Bishop Utravsky had a heavy, broad sword in his hand, which seemed to be a giant sword formed from condensed light. He used it to skillfully block two Air Bullet. The clanging sounds were indistinguishable and almost merged into one.
Clang!
Utravsky took only one step forward, causing the church to sway as if it were about to collapse. At the same time, his two-handed greatsword slashed down at Klein with the force of cleaving through a building.
Before the sword even arrived, the strong wind it generated almost made Klein lose his balance.
Terrifying power! The thought flashed through his mind, but Klein had already skillfully leaped to the side and bent over, preparing to roll on the ground.
Bang!
Utravsky's two-handed greatsword slammed into the ground, shattering the stone slabs and sending cracks rapidly spreading in all directions.
Sizzle! He dragged his greatsword, scraping the ground, changing his vertical slash to a horizontal sweep, sending sparks flying.
This move is perfect for opponents who love to roll around!
Just as Klein was about to land, the image of being struck by a two-handed greatsword flashed through his mind. He quickly swung his arm and extended his palm, lightly pressing down, and leaped into the air again.
Whoosh! A strong gust of wind scattered the dust from the ground, and the terrifying giant sword swept away the nearby chairs.
Before Klein could retaliate, the " Giant " bishop's attack came relentlessly.
One sword, two swords, three swords... five swords, six swords, seven swords... Utravsky seemed to possess an abundance of stamina, and his relentless, Storm- like attacks lasted for several dozen seconds.
Vertical slashes, diagonal cuts, horizontal sweeps, straight thrusts, and strikes—he used the simplest sword techniques to demonstrate what is most effective and reasonable, and the damage range of his two-handed greatsword reached a terrifying level.
Klein leaped, rolled, and ran, but couldn't find an opportunity to use his abilities. He looked disheveled and in grave danger. If he hadn't thrown matches in different corners of the church beforehand, and if there hadn't been some candles on both sides that hadn't gone out yet, which he could use to " Blink," he probably would have been cut down by his opponent's sword.
As expected of an extraordinary profession renowned for its combat prowess... without a single Error, without a single weakness... Klein did not panic because of this. While rolling and dodging, he kept looking for the enemy's weaknesses and waiting for the opponent's attacks to ease.
Finally, he discovered a problem with Utravsky's swordsmanship.
That is, the two-handed greatsword is too long and too big, which has obvious drawbacks in close combat!
With a thought flashing through his mind, Klein seized the opportunity of the greatsword's vertical slash, first flipping to the left and forward, then pushing off with his palms, and quickly rolling between Utravsky's legs.
As a " Half-Giant " who is over 2.2 meters tall, Utravsky simply stood with his legs spread wide apart, and his silver-white groin guard was clearly visible.
As soon as he rolled there, Klein's left hand reached into his pocket to pull out a long strip of paper, which he would then transform into a hard, sharp cane. He would insert it upwards into the gap on the side of the enemy's groin guard, and then into the body of the " Giant " bishop!
This will be a fatal blow!
But at that moment, he felt a chill run down his spine, and an image flashed in his mind of a giant sword plunging downwards, bursting forth with boundless light and forming a terrifying Storm that engulfed him.
A trap! Utravsky's trap! Without hesitation, Klein pressed his right hand down, leaped forward, passed through the gap between the " Giant " bishop's legs, and jumped onto his back.
As he made this move, Utravsky gripped the hilt with both hands, bent his back, and plunged the greatsword straight up and down into the stone slab in front of him.
With a snapping sound, specks of light, like the first Dawn, burst forth from the sword's blade, transforming into a hurricane that swept across the surroundings.
Without a sound, the stone slab where Klein had been standing disappeared, and the soil beneath it thinned by nearly ten centimeters. Utravsky's silver-white armor on his legs and groin was also damaged, shattering inch by inch and revealing his skin.
His trap was to sacrifice his own life to ensure the enemy's demise.
At this moment, Klein, who had leaped behind Bishop Utravsky, finally found an opportunity to counterattack. He forcefully twisted his body in mid-air, puffed out his cheeks, and simulated a gunshot at the back of the enemy's head:
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
Two Air Bullet struck Utravsky in the back of the head in succession, first cracking the silver-white metal in that area, then shattering it into pieces, exposing the unprotected area.
Just as Klein was about to deliver the Fatal Strike, Utravsky suddenly straightened up, twisted his waist and back, and violently swept his two-handed greatsword backward.
The speed was so fast, the attack so fierce, that Klein seemed to have no chance of dodging. However, he pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and held it in front of him in time.
when!
The collision of the greatsword and the paper produced a sound like metal being struck heavily, the crisp echo deafening and filling the entire church.
Klein was sent flying like a tennis ball, the paper in his hand shattered into pieces, with only a small piece remaining between his fingers.
While still in mid-air, he immediately faced Utravsky's ferocious, swift, and relentless pursuit, and his situation became extremely precarious.
However, he showed no panic whatsoever, merely flicking his wrist.
The scrap of paper suddenly burst into flames, which quickly expanded and completely engulfed Klein.
Whoosh! The greatsword sliced through the flames, but caused no damage, only creating a few sparks.
From the candle on the right side of the church, a dim, yellow flame suddenly spread, outlining a figure with a face painted with oil paint.
Klein reappeared and pulled another long strip of paper from his pocket.
Snap!
With a flick of his wrist, the paper transformed into a sturdy whip, its surface ablaze with crimson flames.
Snap! Snap! Snap!
Klein lashed out with his whip from a distance, striking the " Giant " bishop.
But his weapon shattered quickly into pieces under the parries and attacks of the gleaming two-handed greatsword.
And that's exactly what Klein wanted!
Snap, snap, snap! He snapped his fingers repeatedly, causing bolts of fire to rise from the ground, which he used to block Utravsky and scorch his unarmored legs.
The Dawn Armor's recovery is quite slow!
As the flames flickered, Utravsky's legs were charred black, with crimson lines spreading upwards.
However, this did not affect the agility of the " Giant " bishop. He suddenly roared and, like a Steam train finally reaching its maximum speed, smashed through the flames with great speed, force, and power, rushing to Klein's side.
That's incredibly fast!
Immediately afterwards, Utravsky's two-handed greatsword shattered, turning into specks of light that swept outwards.
Almost instantly, Klein found himself in a life-or-death situation.
The few matches he had kept on him suddenly ignited, and the intense flames completely engulfed him.
However, it didn't sweep as fast as the " Storm of Light "; the crimson color had barely appeared when it was immediately engulfed!
Klein's body then shattered into pieces, disappearing inch by inch; however, the pieces lost their thickness and turned into shredded paper.
Behind Utravsky, a crimson flame rose up, and Klein emerged from it.
He pulled a matchbox from his other pocket and threw it at the enemy, seemingly intending to ignite all the remaining matches at once and create some kind of explosion due to the confinement of the small space.
And the matchbox was pointing precisely at Utravsky's unprotected lower body!
Klein raised his right hand and snapped his fingers.
At the same time, Bishop Utravsky turned his back and jumped up, bending his knees and tucking his legs in.
Snap!
The snap of fingers was accompanied by an unchanging matchbox, a loud bang, Air Bullet that accurately ripped open the unprotected back of Bishop Utravsky's head, a deadly object that had been prepared in advance!
The skull cracked open, blood and white spots splattered out, and Utravsky turned his head with difficulty, speaking blankly:
"You..."
The matchbox fell onto the pockmarked ground created by the " Storm of Light," but it still didn't light.
Klein smiled and said:
"I never said that snapping your fingers can only be used to Flame Manipulation and cannot be used to launch Air Bullet."
"Look."
Snap, snap, snap!
He snapped his fingers repeatedly, sending Air Bullet hitting Utravsky's head, shattering his helmet and breaking his skull.
thump!
Utravsky lost consciousness and collapsed heavily to the ground, causing the church hall to tremble slightly.
Snap!
Klein turned around and snapped his fingers again.
The box of matches on the ground then exploded, turning into crimson flames that buried Utravsky's enormous corpse.
Klein did not try to sense the presence of the strange candle; instead, relying on his own clarity and rationality, he forcibly emerged from the deepest part of his mind.
Behind him, the corpse was wrapped in crimson, flames roared, and the world crumbled inch by inch.
