Holding the document signed by Dunn, Klein went underground and entered the armory.
" Dunn is right, it's time for you to learn about the Beyonder and various Concealment organizations." Old Neil, dressed in a black classic robe, saw the note but wasn't surprised; instead, he earnestly agreed.
Then, he added with a smile, "After all, you're coming to the underground market with me tomorrow night."
"Tomorrow night?" Klein didn't hide his surprise and asked as if confirming.
Old Neil nodded and sighed:
"I'm the kind of person who can't sleep soundly when I'm in debt; I always hope to pay it off as soon as possible."
Why didn't you act like this before? You always had to drag it out until the last minute before using Ritualistic Magic to solve it... So I'm not the only one with procrastination issues... Wait, was it really necessary to put it so euphemistically as "afraid of spending the money to pay off debts"? Klein didn't expose Old Neil, but instead urged him:
"Mr. Neil, could you please retrieve the relevant documents for me from behind the Chanis Gate?"
The armory contains mostly archaeological data and historical documents, some of which involve Beyonder and Concealment organizations, but not many, and they are all basic common knowledge.
Old Neil slowly sipped his handmade coffee, smacked his lips, then picked up the signed and stamped document and walked out of the armory, leaving Klein to guard the place in his place.
About ten minutes later, the Old Neil, dressed in a classic black robe, returned with a large stack of documents.
"You can only read it here; you can't take it away," he said, placing the documents on the table.
"Okay." Klein nodded emphatically, stretched out his hands, and quickly flipped through the papers, first giving an overall overview.
Very detailed... No wonder it's the internal data of the " Nighthawks "... No wonder it's from a church with a history of three or four thousand years, or even longer... Klein glanced at it briefly and sighed inwardly.
The materials not only introduce various Concealment organizations, but also list many Sequence Pathway. Some are very complete, some only list the names of the Sequence Potion, some only describe the Beyonder performance of the Sequence, and some are completely missing, replaced by blanks.
Suppressing his excitement, Klein began searching for the Sequence Pathway represented by the " Seer ".
Amidst the rustling of papers, he quickly spotted familiar words.
However, his joyful expression quickly froze on his face, because neither Sequence 8 nor Sequence 7 after " Seer " had a corresponding Potion name!
Thankfully, at least there were Beyonder in these two Sequence... Klein silently exhaled, calmed himself, and carefully read the descriptions:
" Sequence 8: Potion name unknown, corresponding to Beyonder who excel in skillful combat and are all cunning."
Skilled in technical combat? Is this an advancement for a " Seer "? Something feels off... I'm not Hunter... Am I going to become a melee mage? What does cunning mean? Increased intelligence, good at deceiving people? Klein was stunned, even suspecting there was Error in the Nighthawks's data.
He reviewed the relevant case studies several times, but ultimately still couldn't find a reasonable explanation.
His gaze shifted downwards, and the description of Sequence 7 came into view:
"The name of the Potion is unknown, but it corresponds to Beyonder has mastered many spells that can be cast quickly, combining their own skills with supernatural power."
That's more like it! That's more like an advanced stage for a " Seer "! Klein breathed a sigh of relief and sighed inwardly.
After reviewing the case of Sequence 7, he turned his attention to the summary description of this approach:
"This Sequence Pathway first took shape in the Zaratul Family of the Solomon Empire. During the turmoil of the Fourth Age, the family was not completely destroyed, and their name can still be heard occasionally in the history of the Fifth Age... It is suspected to have some connection with the ancient organization ' The Secret Order '."
Zaratul? Upon seeing this name, Klein's gaze suddenly narrowed.
The name appeared in the remnants of Emperor Roselle's diary that he obtained yesterday afternoon!
Roselle's " Acting Method " originated from a reminder from a mysterious figure named Zaratul!
"Because of that mysterious Zaratul, Emperor Roselle regretted not choosing the ' Seer '? So, indirectly, it affected me, making me the ' Seer ', and bringing the Acting Method back into the embrace of the ' Seer '... It really has a bit of a fateful feel to it..." Klein frowned, feeling that things seemed to have taken on a different feel.
Looking at the logical chain alone, he believes there's nothing wrong with any of the links. However, in the realm of mysticism, such a sense of destiny often reveals something and involves certain issues.
Add to that the inexplicable nature of this time travel... it's all so mysterious... and the guy I possessed committed suicide because of the lost notes from the " Secret Order "... Klein thought for a long time and had many guesses, but lacked more information to prove them.
Sigh... After reading this part of the information several times, he could only suppress his thoughts and look at other records instead.
He first found the " Sailor " Sequence and discovered that it indeed belonged to the Lord of Storms.
For this adversary, which may be more than two or three thousand years old, the Nighthawks ' internal Record are quite detailed:
" Sequence 8: ' The Raging Folk,' formerly known as ' Storm Guard,' when they correspond to Beyonder in a state of rage, they can unleash attacks far exceeding normal levels. Both their strength and speed are greatly enhanced... Facing them is like facing a Storm..."
" Sequence 7, ' Navigator,' formerly known as ' Storm Priest,' corresponds to Beyonder are also scholars of astronomy and geography. They have an intuitive grasp of magnetic fields, ocean currents, wind direction, and clouds... Ships with ' Navigator ' never get lost at sea... They are higher-ranking Blessed of the ocean, and they receive comprehensive enhancements on the high seas..."
"They are friends of water, able to move freely underwater for more than half an hour... They can cast some water-related spells to a limited extent, some from their own mastery, and some from the blessings of the Lord of Storms, for example..."
"Sequence 7 ' Navigator ' is quite impressive..." Klein nodded thoughtfully.
He suspected that the " The Hanged Man " was either a " Storm Guard " or a " Navigator," and given that the man had just been promoted, the latter was more likely.
This also suggests that the " The Hanged Man " is either a member of the " Mandated Punishers " or a pirate secretly recruited by the Church of Storms.
Wow, wow... Klein flipped back a few pages and found the advanced section on " The Spectator," which was completely consistent with the description of " The Hanged Man."
Like the " Seer," the " Spectator " in Sequence 9 lacks direct means of defeating the enemy. They can only subtly influence and guide the situation by observing the information obtained from the target and grasping the other party's true thoughts. This allows them to subtly influence and guide the situation in the direction they desire.
Sequence 8, " Mind Reader," represents a comprehensive upgrade from " The Spectator." His observations are no longer limited to surface details but delve into mystical realms such as aura and Ether Body. The combination of these two aspects allows " Mind Reader " to grasp people's hearts with exceptional accuracy, seemingly able to read their thoughts. It is difficult to keep secrets from him.
Sequence 7 " Psychiatrist," or " Psychoanalyst," go a step further than those before, beginning to directly influence their targets. For example, they can treat the target's Frenzy or other problems, or cause the target to become Frenzy and lose their reason.
" Beyonder is difficult for others to discover..." After reading the above information, Klein made a positive judgment.
Having learned about the members of the gathering, he then turned to the " Church of the God of Steam and Machinery," because Emperor Roselle had chosen those belonging to their " Reader " Sequence:
" Sequence 9, ' Reader,' corresponds to the Beyonder believes knowledge is power, has a rudimentary understanding of mysticism, and is more proficient in aqua regia, nitroglycerin, and complex gear mechanisms; they seem to know everything."
No wonder Emperor Roselle said this " Potion " was perfect for him, allowing him to maximize his strengths... Klein suddenly understood, and his gaze shifted downwards.
After describing several cases, the corresponding Sequence 8 came to Klein's attention.
" Archaeologist possesses sufficient historical knowledge, wilderness survival skills, and knowledge of the taboos associated with archaeological sites, along with a strong enough physique and ability to face all of this..."
" Sequence 7, ' Appraiser,' possesses the intuitive ability to grasp the capabilities and problems of most extraordinary items, and can use them while minimizing danger..."
Because Klein's security clearance was insufficient, the information related to the Sequence Pathway only went up to "7," leaving him itching for more but unable to find another way. He could only hope that Backlund would send over the Sealed Artifact "2-049" as soon as possible to confirm whether Riel Bieber was a descendant of the Antigonus Family.
That way, he would have a chance to become a full member of the team and obtain a higher level of security clearance.
Composing himself, Klein carefully read through the documents from beginning to end. He learned that the successor to " Corpse Collector " was " Gravedigger," and then " Spirit Medium." He also learned that Sequence 8 of " Mystery Pryer " was missing; not only was there no name, but the corresponding description was also blank. However, the Sequence 7 records contained the name of Potion: " Wizard!"
"Pretty impressive..." Klein slowly turned the page and saw the " Apprentice " and " Marauder " that Emperor Roselle had been so fond of. The records related to them only went up to Sequence 8, and the rest were missing.
" Sequence 9, ' Apprentice,' possesses rather strange abilities. It can only be confirmed that they are the initial members of a mage school. They are rarely trapped and difficult to block, always finding a way to escape and pass through... Sequence 8, ' Trickmaster,' wields a variety of strange but not powerful spells..."
" Sequence 9, ' The Marauder,' It's difficult to distinguish these Beyonder from ordinary thieves and petty thieves. Perhaps they are more skilled in their methods, and their purpose in stealing is not for enjoyment or survival, but rather to fulfill a mission... Sequence 8, ' The Cryptologist, ' In some fraud cases, we have found traces of Beyonder; they take pleasure in Deceit others..."
Taking pleasure in Deceit... Is this a subtle, transformative form of " Acting "? If given a choice, perhaps I would choose " Apprentice "... Klein muttered to himself, suddenly noticing the Sequence Potion name of Tris, the perpetrator of the Clover massacre, " Instigator."
