"Damn, finally finished them all."

Looking at the grenades piled on the table, he breathed a sigh of relief.

After these past few days of hard work, he had finally succeeded. The grenades had come out perfectly.

The Type 82-2 egg-shaped grenade packed a respectable punch.

He counted them carefully: thirty in total. These would be enough to deal with those bandits.

Now he could hardly wait to show those bandits just how devastating grenades could be.

He had worked his ass off and barely cultivated these past few days, all to make these grenades. If he didn't get something back for it, could he really do right by himself?

He pushed the door open and went out.

Lü Qiming saw Lin Fan and looked puzzled. "Junior Brother Lin, how come I haven't seen a trace of you these past few days?"

Lin Fan smiled. "Senior Brother Lü, I've been cultivating. Now that I've made some progress, I'm heading out for a bit."

To Lü Qiming, Junior Brother Lin's progress in cultivation probably meant he wanted to keep completing missions, so he said nothing more.

"Good luck, Junior Brother Lin."

With thirty grenades in his storage ring, he was brimming with confidence.

When he reached the foot of the sect's mountain, he spotted a familiar figure. It was Huang Fugui.

Two people stood opposite Huang Fugui. Judging by how close they seemed, they were clearly his family.

"Mother, take this money. Since little sister is getting married, we can't let anyone look down on her. Buy whatever needs buying." Huang Fugui took out what little Flame Magnificence Currency he had left and stuffed it all into the old woman's hands.

Even so, there were several tens of thousands at least.

The young woman beside her was slightly plump, with a face somewhat like Huang Fugui's. It had to be said, looking so much like her elder brother was a sin in itself.

"Brother, if you give us everything, what will you use?" Huang Qinghua asked, looking at her brother with some concern.

With his family, Huang Fugui lacked the arrogance he displayed in the sect. He gently patted his sister's head. "All right, your brother is a First-Grade Outer Sect Disciple. How could I starve? Take good care of Mother for me at home, understood?"

"Yes, understood." Huang Qinghua nodded.

Huang Fugui was also reluctant to part with them. "Mother, be careful on your way back. When little sister's wedding day comes, I'll return to attend."

"Fugui, be careful in the sect. It's not peaceful out there these days. Whatever happens, your life comes first. Your sister and I will be waiting for you at home." The old woman was deeply worried, but there was nothing she could do. Her child had grown up and naturally had his own path to follow.

"I know. I'll be careful." Huang Fugui nodded, then escorted the two into their carriage. Only after repeatedly instructing the coachman did he let them leave.

Lin Fan had been hiding in the shadows, eavesdropping the whole time. Good grief, Huang Fugui really did treat his family well.

That sum of money just now had probably cleaned out his savings.

Watching his family leave, Huang Fugui prepared to head back. Life wasn't easy for him these days either. As their senior brother, he didn't fucking know how to refuse when those disciples brought him scrap metal. It was all that fellow's fault. If not for him, he wouldn't have bought all this junk. What the hell could he use it for?

"Oh, if it isn't Senior Brother Huang. You're looking well. Made a fortune?" Lin Fan approached with a radiant smile. "I didn't expect Senior Brother Huang to have such a pretty sister. Not bad at all."

Huang Fugui hadn't expected to see Lin Fan and immediately glared at him. "None of your damn business." Then he stopped in his tracks. "Heading out on a mission? I'm telling you, don't get hacked to death out there."

Lin Fan replied casually, "No need to worry about that, Senior Brother Huang. The person who can hack me to death hasn't been born yet."

"Heh, heh." Huang Fugui sneered twice. Unwilling to waste any more words on him, he left.

Lin Fan didn't invite another snub either and set off full of anticipation.

A few days later.

On a small hillside.

A group of bandits had gathered.

"Third Chief, we haven't had any business for days. The brothers are all getting anxious," one bandit said.

"What's the rush? The First Chief and Second Chief aren't anxious, so why are you? Keep your eyes peeled and notify me the moment anything happens," the Third Chief shouted at the top of his lungs before grumbling, "Damn it, is the Flame Magnificence Sect sending a disciple or not? I've been fucking lying in wait for days, and that fellow who accepted the mission still hasn't come. How fucking long is this going to take?"

Looking at the scene before him, Lin Fan was practically saying what the fuck. These bastards were such fucking dogs. There were always ten of them. Couldn't they bring out just one more?

"Ahem!" Lin Fan cleared his throat, his nine-ring broadsword resting on his shoulder. With a solemn gaze, he opened his mouth and spoke the truth. "Under the bright sun and clear heavens, you bandits actually dare to appear here openly! Today, I, Lin Fan, a First-Grade Outer Sect Disciple of the Flame Magnificence Sect, shall put you to death. Do you submit?"

The previously listless bandits hastily looked over when they heard someone speaking.

"Third Chief, that idiot from the other day is back!" one bandit shouted.

Hearing someone insult him, Lin Fan immediately flew into a rage. "Who the fuck dares insult me?"

"I did. What about it?" That bandit stepped forward arrogantly, then pointed at Lin Fan. "Kid, you're dead today."

Lin Fan glanced at him, took a grenade straight out of his storage ring, pulled the pin, silently counted a few seconds, and tossed it over with an exceptionally elegant motion. In a moment, one BOOM will send you flying into the sky.

The grenade rolled and rolled, all the way to that bandit's feet.

"Huh? What's this thing?" The bandit looked surprised, unable to make sense of it.

Several nearby bandits gathered around as well, examining it closely.

"It looks like a ball."

"But its exterior is a little strange. What can something this small do?"

"There must be something good inside."

The bandits put their little brains to work, discussing it curiously.

The bandit who liked claiming credit immediately picked up the grenade. "Third Chief, we've got something good! That fellow just threw this thing over. Look how strange its shape is."

The bandit was brimming with excitement, while the Third Chief watched from a distance, unable even to see what the thing was.

Lin Fan counted silently to himself.

4!

5!

The Third Chief nodded. "Bring it here. Let me see what trick this brat is playing."

7!

Just as that bandit was about to reach the Third Chief, the grenade exploded.

BOOM!

An enormous blast erupted.

The surrounding bandits were instantly blown straight into the air.

The Third Chief, who had still been curious a moment ago, was utterly dumbfounded by the sight. The deafening blast scared him into collapsing onto the ground, his eyes staring fixedly as though he couldn't believe it.

"What the hell is that thing?" The Third Chief's voice was filled with terror.

Points +30. Points +20. Points +10. Points +30. ...

Standing there, Lin Fan calmly revealed a faint smile. Not bad, not bad. He had earned two hundred Points.

A deal with guaranteed profits and no losses.

Then, seeing those bandits scared senseless, he immediately raised his nine-ring broadsword and charged toward them.

"You trash, here I come!"

Seeing this, the Third Chief immediately shouted, "Everyone, get out here and kill this fellow!"

Lin Fan's fighting spirit boiled. "Today, I'll rid the people of a scourge!"

Then he took a grenade straight out of his storage ring, pulled the pin with his teeth, and bounced it in his hand. Just as the time was about to come, he hurled it into the crowd.

Bang!

Bang!

Screams rang out without end.

Seeing this, the Third Chief's face flushed red as he roared, "If you've got the guts, stop using hidden weapons!"

"Fine! Come on, let's hurt each other! I won't use hidden weapons. Just watch me chop you into pieces today!"

His fury soaring to the heavens, the Third Chief raised his weapon and charged at Lin Fan. "Die!"

"Die, your sister!" Just then, Lin Fan pulled the pin on another grenade and threw it at the Third Chief.

Seeing that round object, the Third Chief was so frightened his soul nearly scattered.

"Despicable! Shameless! What happened to not using hidden weapons?"

"Ah, Third Chief, save me!"

"My leg!"

The screams were utterly wretched.

Seeing this, the Third Chief's heart bled.

But he was powerless, because these hidden weapons were simply too powerful. To him, they were truly terrifying.

They could kill people.
