After the Society established rules for intervening in other spacetimes, Zhang Tianyuan formed an investigation team and sent investigators to North America.

• Zhang Tianyuan told Amelia and Jody that Plan A could not work without the vanished beings behind the wormhole, then introduced them to the Mutual Aid Society and its Spacetime Tunnel.
• Amelia joined the Mutual Aid Society and explained its migration plan to Professor Brand, who chose to leave NASA with a group of recruits and seek help for the Lazarus team.
• Professor Brand recruited Cooper for Plan C, and Cooper, Amelia, Jody, and their colleagues crossed the Spacetime Tunnel to join the Society as NASA officials branded them traitors.
• At Moyulan Base, Professor Brand explained the migration plan to Cooper, while Cooper met Jeff and learned about the Society’s rescue work in another spacetime.

The Mutual Aid Society exposed North America's famine and helped starving people seize grain while expanding its space exploration and preparing a costly rescue for Dr. Miller. The arc left Miller racing to escape a tidal wave as the Society organized water relief for drought-stricken communities.

• Zhang Tianyuan’s team investigated the starving people in North America, and the Society exposed the famine before launching a level-one response that helped survivors seize granaries and reclaim grain.
• North American leaders rejected appeasing the starving people as the Mutual Aid Society helped them hold the granaries and spread news of their suffering.
• Cooper and Liu Peiqiang took control of the Endurance and moved it to Saturn, where Spacecraft No. 1 passed through the wormhole into a new star system.
• Yuan Heguang announced Earth’s renewed exploration and migration prospects as Spacecraft No. 1 approached Planet No. 1 to investigate its extreme time dilation.

The Mutual Aid Society prepared Planet No. 3 for settlement while North American factions maneuvered over the new world and their dwindling food supplies. Zhang Tianyuan discovered Snowpiercer Spacetime just as CW-7 triggered a rapidly worsening global freeze, leaving rescue workers staring at a tear in the sky.

• Raleigh Becket and the Wei Brothers used small mechas to break Antarctic ice and replenish groundwater, while Zhang Tianyuan resettled survivors from North American granaries and the Society’s spacecraft reached Planet No. 3.
• Zhou Kun confirmed Planet No. 3 had water and primitive vegetation, but the advance team found Edmunds dead and buried him as Amelia mourned.
• Miller returned through the Spacetime Tunnel, reunited with Professor Brand and Amelia, and learned that Brand had knowingly abandoned Plan A, and meanwhile, the Society began preparing Planet No. 3 for settlement and considered Earth’s future as a refuge.

The Mutual Aid Society revealed the scale of Snowpiercer Spacetime’s coming freeze, secured Cheng Wanli’s cooperation, and began preparing to stop Wilford’s train and free its hostages. As the Society’s Pangu caught up with Snowpiercer, Wilford locked the passengers inside and tried to outrun it, while Namgoong Minsu prepared to rally the hostages.

• Zhang Tianyuan confirmed that plasma from the Equator No. 1 Steering Engine was heating the atmosphere, while Cheng Wanli investigated the mysterious convoy associated with the plasma streams.
• Wilford’s soldiers forced 1,204 people aboard Snowpiercer, separated families, and imprisoned the passengers in the crowded economy-class carriage.
• The Mutual Aid Society contacted Snowpiercer Spacetime, and Cheng Wanli agreed to meet its representatives after the Navigator Space Station arrived and broadcast its offer of aid.
• Zhang Tianyuan warned Cheng Wanli that temperatures could remain below minus forty degrees year-round for at least thirteen years, and Cheng Wanli accepted temporary migration to No. 7 Spacetime.
• Wilford’s claims of imminent doomsday faltered as plasma jets warmed the atmosphere, and Zhang Tianyuan’s group began planning to intercept Snowpiercer and free its hostages.
• After a failed rocket attack and other sabotage plans, Zhang Tianyuan chose to use the Pangu and its Gravity Sling to stop the train, while Mather and Morgan arranged a separate attack on its tracks.
