"Rise, Sapphiron!"
Arthas stood before the corpse of a blue dragon and plunged Frostmourne into it.
Ten minutes ago, they encountered this adult blue dragon, and in the next few minutes, the three High-tier Legendary powerhouses joined forces to kill the blue dragon, which crashed onto the snow-covered and icy ground.
Dense death energy flowed from Frostmourne into the blue dragon's corpse. Under the transformation of the runeblade's unique energy, the adult blue dragon's flesh and blood completely decayed in less than five minutes, all its life force was converted into death energy, and the soul that had just been devoured by Frostmourne returned to the corpse once again. Sapphiron flapped its wings and flew into the sky.
The bone wings, formed from stark white bones, stretched a full thirty meters!
This is the power of Frostmourne, the power to enslave death.
But Sapphiron is different from other Frost Wyrm.
The other Frost Wyrm were resurrected by Undead and Lich using Undead. They came from the corpses of dragons that had been dead for thousands or tens of thousands of years. Their bones had decayed, all their life force had disappeared, and even their souls had dissipated. Compared to when they were alive, their strength was less than one-fifth.
Sapphiron, on the other hand, was killed and resurrected by Arthas himself using Frostmourne. His life force was transformed into death energy, and because he was a blue dragon in life, he still possessed Arcane energy comparable to that of Legendary mage, making him much stronger than other Frost Wyrm.
Death did not weaken its power; on the contrary, it made it stronger.
Now, it is comparable to the most ordinary ancient dragon, entering the Legendary.
"Further ahead is the entrance to Ajjoh Nerub. I have already summoned all the Undead in the vicinity; they will arrive soon," Anub'arak said.
Very quickly, indeed very quickly.
Ten minutes later, hundreds of Crypt Fiend gathered around Anub'Rekhan, along with a small number of other Undead, such as Abomination Ghoul.
"Come with me."
The Crypt Lord led the way, followed by Arthas and Kel'Thuzad, while only Sapphiron took to the skies.
The underground world was not suitable for it, so it flew directly to Icecrown Citadel, where it awaited its master.
They marched through the snow and ice, and an hour later they arrived at a very deep cave.
"This is the entrance to Ajjo Nerub. I haven't been here for a year," Anub'arak said.
It moved its massive body and was the first to rush into the cave.
They were met with one Nerubians after another!
Aijo Nerub was originally from the Nerubians Empire.
The Nerubian race here possess immunity to Mind Control and were once the biggest obstacle to the Lich King's expansion.
The leader was a Nerubians lord named " Krik'thir the Gatewatcher," who brought with him a large number of Nerubians.
Ultimately, most of the Nerubian race were killed and then resurrected, becoming servants of the Lich King. Krik'thir the Gatewatcher, was also killed by Arthas and resurrected as Undead.
Many Nerubian race still live, and they now reside in the underground kingdom.
The dead naturally abhor the living, and the living feel the same way about the dead.
Enemies meeting are bound to be hostile, and countless Nerubian race emerged to attack the Crypt Lord and his Undead. However, the Crypt Lord was clearly much stronger and quickly repelled the attack.
" Anub'arak, I didn't know this path wasn't easy," Kel'Thuzad said. "Last time, we went straight through the Wrathgate."
"Ah!"
As soon as Kel'Thuzad finished speaking, Arthas let out another painful howl, which lasted for a full half minute before he stopped.
" Death Knight, what happened?" Anub'arak turned around and asked.
" The Lich King has warned me that the enemy has already departed from Wyrmrest Temple and is heading towards Icecrown Citadel!" Arthas unconsciously gripped Frostmourne tighter, as if only with it could he find a sense of security. "We must get to Icecrown Citadel as soon as possible. Without us, the Lich King's defenses are extremely weak!"
"No need to rush,"
"Death Knight, I left a large force at Icecrown Citadel before I came; they will hold out for a while," Anub'arak said. "The enemy will definitely go through the Wrathgate; that's their only way! I left the largest force there; don't worry." "I hope so, Crypt Lord," Arthas said urgently. "We must hurry; there's no time!"
The underground kingdom has a network of interconnected and densely packed roads.
Apart from the Nerubian race live here year-round, outsiders have no way of figuring out the terrain and would definitely get lost.
But soon, they discovered figures that did not belong to the Nerubian race; it was...
" Dwarves, Dwarves from Ironforge." Arthas's face revealed a cold smile. "They're the Dwarves Muradin brought! I was in such a hurry when I left that I didn't have time to kill them, and now I've run into them here!"
When Arthas was chasing Mal'Ganis to Northrend, he encountered a group of Dwarves adventurers led by Muradin Bronzebeard. They then joined forces to search for Frostmourne.
Finally, they found Frostmourne in a cave in the northeast corner of Dragonblight.
Then he drew Frostmourne, and the shards of ice coffin that shot forth killed Muradin Bronzebeard.
Then, he killed the five thousand elite Lordaeron warriors he had brought, but forgot about the Dwarves that Muradin had brought.
Unexpectedly, they actually traversed the Dragonblight and arrived here.
"Looks like we'll have a few more servants." Kel'Thuzad's sinister voice rang out, accompanied by a cacophony of laughter. He raised his staff, and a dense barrage of terrifying death rays and Frostbolt swept towards the Dwarves.
Anub'arak let out a mocking shriek, Crypt Fiend behind him crawled past at lightning speed.
Any Dwarves discovered will not escape Kel'Thuzad's spells and the pursuit of the Crypt Fiend.
As they pursued them, they unexpectedly discovered that the Dwarves were quite familiar with this underground kingdom and seemed to have a good relationship with the Nerubian race, clearly indicating an alliance between the two.
To Anub'arak's surprise, the Dwarves ' escape route led to the deepest part of the underground kingdom, the only way to Icecrown Glacier.
With these questions in mind, the three leaders of the Scourge continued their investigation.
The underground kingdom was vast, and the escaped Dwarves had destroyed many bridges that could have shortened their journey. It took them a full seven hours to finally reach the deepest part, where they encountered the Dwarves gathered together, attempting a desperate resistance.
"The time for slaughter has come!"
Arthas grinned cruelly and charged forward for the first time.
The Dwarves are very powerful in combat, and their leader is Muradin Bronzebeard's former lieutenant, a formidable hill lord.
But they were utterly unable to resist the combined attack of the three Scourge leaders and a multitude of Undead.
I regret it.
Looking at the dying "Mountain Lord" Baelgun, Arthas held Frostmourne upside down in his hands and coldly said, "I really should have resurrected Muradin as Death Knight! Although you are far inferior to him, you would have been more than enough!"
The next moment, Frostmourne pierced the Mountain Lord's heart and devoured his soul.
Then, the hill lord, now Death Knight, rose from the ground, his entire body radiating an aura of death.
He faced Arthas, knelt on one knee, and said in a deep, resonant voice, "My master, Baelgun, is at your service!"
"Ha ha ha ha!"
Arthas threw his head back and laughed heartily, feeling utterly delighted.
Then, he brandished his demonic sword, pointing it forward. "Let's continue!"
