The Shadow Phoenix flapped its wings and soared into the sky, faster than Farad.
At the same time, a dozen or so griffins took to the sky from the Ravenholdt Manor, followed by several mages, hunters, rogues, and Warrior.
Jiang Jie turned his head and saw an old man who looked to be over sixty years old with white hair and beard on the back of the griffin at the front. He was dressed in a luxurious thief's outfit, but in his hand he only had an ordinary-looking curved dagger.
But no one can underestimate him.
His self-named skill, " Ravenholdt's Seal," is comparable to a "dragon-slaying sword," possessing extraordinary power, which fully demonstrates his strength.
Despite his advanced age, he remains the most mysterious, powerful, and influential thief in the human world, bar none.
Following closely behind were the most powerful group of members that Jiang Jie had discovered while scanning the entire Ravenholdt Manor, including several master thieves, a hunting master, a marksman master, and an Archmage. The only one who did not come along was the powerful and tall Orcs master thief " Kuhn," who was probably left behind specifically to be responsible for the security of the Ravenholdt Manor.
Almost the entire flock came out!
This shows that Duke Jorach was determined to kill Farad.
A black dragon has been hiding in the Ravenholdt Manor and even risen to the position of second-in-command. This is probably the greatest disgrace and the greatest mockery in the history of the Assassins' League. If Duke Jorach can't take down Farad, how can he continue to hold his position?
They'll be forever branded with shame!
However, griffins are not faster than Farad, and their stamina is nowhere near that of dragons, so it's probably impossible for them to catch up with Farad.
"Your Grace, I must take my leave now!"
Jiang Jie waved a greeting from afar, then ordered Pyralis to speed up.
In the blink of an eye, they had left the griffin troops behind.
The phoenix was far faster than the ancient dragons. Farad didn't fly towards the Fenris Isles as he had announced; instead, he flew southeast, his destination not Onyxia's Lair, not Stormwind City, and certainly not Blackrock Mountain, but...
" Twilight Highlands? That makes sense, black dragons roam there too, and there's the Twilight's Hammer. Farad, you're overthinking it! No matter where you fly, you won't get very far!"
In less than five minutes, Jiang Jie caught up with Farad.
Then he leaped down and landed on Farad's back.
" Nicholas! You can't hurt me!" Farad tumbled about, trying to shake off Jiang Jie, but it was completely impossible.
Jiang Jie is like a leech, impossible to shake off no matter what you do.
"I couldn't hurt you before, but now, surely I can hurt you?"
Jiang Jie sneered and attacked again, his divine sword piercing Farad's injured back.
With no hard dragon scales to block it, not even dragon hide to protect it, Farad's back was completely defenseless against Jiang Jie. The defensive power of dragon flesh was no stronger than that of Mannoroth. Jiang Jie pierced it with his sword and then shouted:
" Pyralis!"
With a phoenix cry, Pyralis flew back into the divine sword. Then, flames burst forth and, under Jiang Jie's control, merged with Chi, transforming into a sharp sword beam that almost pierced through Farad!
If the keel bone hadn't been so incredibly strong, it probably would have been pierced through.
" Nicholas! You're asking for it!"
Farad let out a scream, but he was completely helpless against Jiang Jie.
The dragon form allows for spellcasting, but with Jiang Jie's interference and the constant burning of the Shadowflame, casting spells becomes difficult.
His dragon claws, dragon head, and dragon tail were all unable to attack Jiang Jie on his back, so at this moment, he had no way to deal with Jiang Jie at all.
After receiving the blessing, or rather, being corrupted, of the Old Gods, the Black Dragon also gained the ability to use shadow power. Not to mention that Farad was a Legendary rogue, and rogues themselves use Shadow energy.
But compared to Pyralis the Shadow Phoenix, he was nothing.
How could an ancient black dragon compare to a servant of the Old Gods?
Pyralis's Shadow energy comes from Zakajz!
A series of dark attacks erupted, attempting to kill Jiang Jie.
However, it was all in vain; the Cloak of Shadows appeared, blocking the vast majority of the damage. Since the divine sword was embedded in Farad's back, it couldn't be shaken off.
" Nicholas! Let me go, and I promise I won't fight you! Otherwise, you'll be fighting the Black Dragonflight! Deathwing will destroy your country, your people, and everything you care about!"
Farad roared, pleading and threatening.
Jiang Jie sneered, showing no interest in speaking.
Black dragons are all lunatics. Deathwing's goal is to Devastation the world, so it doesn't matter whether you offend him or not.
Besides, why would Deathwing care about you, you black dragon traitor who even avoids Deathwing!
Receiving no response from Jiang Jie and feeling the unbearable pain in his back, Farad finally lost his temper and could no longer hold back. He turned and flew towards Hinterlands.
A few minutes later, it flew into the forest of Hinterlands, then darted through the forest, crashing through countless ancient trees and even rolling on the ground. To avoid being crushed to death by the dragon's body, Jiang Jie had no choice but to draw his divine sword and keep his distance.
Farad finally broke free from Jiang Jie, turned around and unleashed a fiery breath, forcing Jiang Jie back and igniting a forest fire at the same time. Then, he transformed into human form, crouched down, and entered Stealth mode, disappearing from sight.
"Trying to run? Think again! You'll find nowhere to hide in front of me!"
Jiang Jie activated the scanning function of the game pod, firmly locking onto Farad, while he himself stood on Pyralis's back and flew into the sky.
He didn't make a move because, although Farad was injured, he was extremely difficult to deal with. Even a rabbit will bite when cornered, let alone a black dragon.
Farad really fought desperately, Jiang Jie didn't know if he could survive.
Anyway, Farad's speed in human form is limited; he definitely can't outrun a phoenix or a griffin.
The phoenix flew high in the sky, Jiang Jie followed at a distance. Twenty minutes later, the griffin force finally caught up.
" Marquis Nicholas, thank you for exposing the black dragon hiding in the manor! Where is Farad?" A griffin caught up, running alongside the Shadow Phoenix, and Duke Jorach asked, turning his head.
"Running around down there!" Jiang Jie chuckled, pointing casually.
Duke Jorach's eyesight was remarkable, and his observational skills were even more astounding. The griffin flew into the forest, and he easily spotted the tracks of someone running.
The grass on the ground was swaying, and even though the swaying was small, and even though the wind was blowing and other grasses were swaying, he could still tell the difference at a glance.
This is experience, the experience of a Legendary thief.
Duke Jorach made a gesture, and a Gnomes mage raised his staff. Suddenly, a flash of cold light appeared, and a large patch of grass was frozen in ice, revealing a figure.
It was Farad!
The next moment, several arrows flew out, blocking Farad's path. Several great thieves leaped down from their griffins and surrounded Farad. A fully armed Troll warrior, wielding two battle axes, blocked Farad.
A dozen or so griffins formed the outer ring, controlled by a master hunter, or more precisely, a "King of Beasts," the king of beasts among hunters.
He was a Dwarves hunter, judging from his attire he was probably Wildhammer Dwarves hunter, no wonder he could tame so many griffins, but he wasn't carrying a musket like Dwarves, but a bow and arrow.
A High Elf stepped forward and came to his side.
This was a High Elf ranger, a ranger-lord level ranger, who had actually joined the Assassins' League. Judging from his agile figure and the rapid-fire arrows that blocked Farad's path, his archery skills were not much worse than Lor'themar's or Halduron's.
Finally, Duke Jorach walked up to Farad and faced him.
Farad, there's no escape!
