" The Shen'dralar Elves and High Elf have done a good job keeping this place well!"
Standing in the forests of Feralas, gazing at the Dire Maul not far away, Jiang Jie raised an eyebrow. "Green hills and clear waters, natural scenery, it's somewhat reminiscent of the Night Elf ' style?"
A verdant green expanse stretched before me.
Two years ago, Kael'thas, leading the High Elf elves and guided by Jiang Jie, joined forces with the Feathermoon Sentinels and the Shen'dralar Elves to breach Dire Maul and defeat the Gor'dok Ogre and the Satyr demon forces entrenched there.
Afterwards, the Shen'dralar Elves joined Quel'Thalas, and Dire Maul became entirely the territory of the High Elf, reverting to its ancient name:
Eldre'Thalas.
This is the second city of the High Elf, and naturally, Kael'thas, Sylvanas, and the Silvermoon Council attach great importance to it.
In fact, at least a third of the High Elf mages have already moved to Dire Maul, and another third are in the Demon Fall Canyon, east of Ashenvale, at the Mount Hyjal, where an ancient miracle tree called " Arcan'dor " grows, and the High Elf are trying to turn it into their third High Elf city.
Of course, this couldn't be kept from the Night Elf, and they eventually gave Night Elf permission. The price was that the High Elf had to shoulder the burden of fighting Azshara's demons and assist the Night Elf in dealing with the Naga who were entrenched along the coast.
The Naga of Azshara, and the Naga of Feralas.
Before heading to Outland, Kael'thas made a special trip to Feralas, leading the High Elf and Shen'dralar Elves, along with the Feathermoon Sentinels, to wipe out the five thousand Hatecrest Naga had taken up residence along the western coast of Feralas and on Isle of Dread. Even Shalzaru—
The Hatecrest Naga, was also killed by Kael'thas.
This city now belongs entirely to the High Elf, however...
" Feralas is the territory of the Night Elf, and even the proud Prince Kael'thas and the High Elf cannot ignore the presence of General Shandris and the Feathermoon Sentinels. In fact, as far as I know, Prince Kael'thas and General Shandris have reached an agreement: the natural ecosystem of Feralas must never be damaged, including Dire Maul."
Duke Jorach chuckled and said, "In addition, some Feathermoon Sentinels have been stationed in Dire Maul under the guise of assisting in defense, and some Druid are also in Dire Maul, responsible for purifying the ancient trees and Treant, as well as other wondrous creatures."
Jiang Jie nodded.
The relationship between the Night Elf and the High Elf was not very good.
More than seven thousand years ago, General Shandris watched helplessly as Dath'Remar led the last of the Highborne and elven mages away from this continent. Although there was no hatred between them, the relationship had been reduced to "neutral," and they couldn't even be called "friendly."
The High Elf must have paid a price to establish themselves in the territory of the Night Elf.
"Shall we go in?"
Jiang Jie frowned slightly as he looked at the layers of rising magical barriers, the High Elf mages and guards on duty, and the small number of Feathermoon Sentinels: "The defenses are so tight?"
" Dire Maul boasts the largest and most famous arena in all of Kalimdor, and even in all of Azeroth, once on par with the Gurubashi Arena. However, in recent years, the Gurubashi Arena has declined, while the Dire Maul Arena has become increasingly renowned, especially under the rule of the Gor'dok Ogre."
Duke Jorach explained, "This arena generates over a million gold coins in revenue annually, more than many major cities. The High Elf are unwilling to give it up and continue operating it. The High Elf have a better reputation Gor'dok Ogre, so in the past two years, the arena has not only not declined, but the scale of the events has grown, attracting many adventurers, as well as... some rather special forces."
"A rather unique force?"
Jiang Jie looked at Duke Jorach, his gaze suggestive. "Like the Assassins' League?"
"Certainly."
Duke Jorach did not deny it. "There are many other forces, such as the Blackwater Raiders, the Bloodsail Buccaneers, the Steamwheedle Cartel, and the Goblin Venture Company."
For example, the Centaur of Desolace, the Tauren of Mulgore, the Orcs of Durotar, and even... demons." "Demons?"
A look of astonishment crossed Jiang Jie's face. "A demon? A demon dares to appear in the territory of the High Elf?"
" The High Elf have imprisoned many demons, all captured in northern Kalimdor, to absorb their mana and cure their mana addiction."
Duke Jorach chuckled, "To make the gladiatorial tournament more exciting, the High Elf have thrown some demons into the arena, even promising to set them free if they can fight a hundred matches in a row. I must say, the High Elf are quite shrewd."
The demons, captured by the High Elf, would normally have been drained of their magic and killed. Now, with the hope of freedom, they naturally fought eagerly, adding a new highlight to the gladiatorial tournament, which was indeed very interesting.
As for one hundred matches?
The schedule is always in the hands of the High Elf.
If any demon were powerful enough and lucky enough to win all 99 battles, the High Elf might just call Kael'thas back to fight.
After all, letting demons go, especially powerful demons, would be criticized and condemned by other races in the Alliance.
"With demons involved, the gladiatorial tournament's level will indeed be significantly elevated."
Jiang Jie nodded and asked, " Varian... no, Lo'Gosh is competing here right now, vying for the championship?"
Duke Jorach chuckled, " The Dire Maul Arena matches are divided into 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5. 1v1 has the most strong competitors. Although Lo'Gosh is very strong, it won't be easy for him to win the championship. So Rehgar has formed a three-person team to compete for the 3v3 championship."
"Which three?" Jiang Jie with great interest.
In the original history, Lo'Gosh ultimately teamed up with the High Elf assassin Valeera Sangunar and the Night Elf Druid Broll Bearmantle.
Right now, Broll is still in Grizzly Hills, helping the Furbolg fight the Drakkari Troll of Zul'Drak, so naturally he wouldn't be here.
The original golden trio is no longer possible, so who can Lo'Gosh team up with?
"One is Valeera, a member of the High Elf Sanguinar Family, a former high-ranking mage, and now a master assassin. She seems to have some health issues; she frequently experiences problems, becoming very weak when she does. That's how she was captured by Rehgar and made into his gladiator. This master assassin is very powerful. To be honest, although she's not yet Legendary, even if I were to duel her, I wouldn't be absolutely certain of victory."
Duke Jorach said, "The other one was originally a Blackrock Orcs Warrior called ' Bloodeye Red Fist.' Later, Bloodeye died, Rehgar couldn't find a better replacement, so he had to take matters into his own hands."
" Rehgar himself is going on stage? Isn't he a slave owner?" Jiang Jie asked, puzzled.
" Rehgar escaped from Orcs concentration camp. To survive, he sold himself into gladiatorship. Later, he earned enough money to redeem himself and became a slave owner."
Duke Jorach said, "He was the 1v1 champion of a gladiatorial tournament, a master of combat. To be honest, Glash might not be his match."
"Is it that amazing?"
Jiang Jie smiled and said, "Then, shall we go and meet this gladiator champion?"
