A colossal object, over a kilometer in diameter, sits in the northern part of the Twilight Highlands, blocked by mountains.
This place is known as the Maw of Madness.
Like a gaping maw, the throat of the Nightmare Behemoth Erudax is unfathomably deep, with teeth twenty or thirty meters long separating the inside of the throat from the outside world, turning it into two separate worlds.
Without a doubt, such a massive monster could easily swallow the largest dragon whole, and even the Chromatic Dragon Chromatus could be easily squeezed inside.
Of all the creatures Jiang Jie had ever seen, aside from Shen-zin Su and the long-dead Galakrond, it was the largest...
No, perhaps even Galakrond wasn't as large as it, because all that could be seen with the naked eye was its throat and its tentacles swaying wildly.
Deep underground, its true form must be far larger, as evidenced by the fleshy tentacles that have emerged from within a radius of several kilometers.
Hundreds of enormous tentacles, some ten meters, some tens of meters, and some hundreds of meters tall, stretched towards the sky.
Most of the tentacles are over five meters, or even ten meters, in diameter.
Only a very few are only ten meters or so tall and two or three meters thick, and are not so scary.
This is still just the outer tentacles.
The innermost dozen or so tentacles each have a diameter of over twenty meters and a height of over two hundred meters.
Each tentacle was more terrifying and larger than the Dragon King!
The dancing fleshy tentacles were several times larger than the Magmaw.
This is a monster more terrifying than any monster that appears in movies or TV series. It is larger than the monsters in "Pacific Rim," more terrifying than Godzilla and Vajra, and more frightening than the monsters in "The Mist."
Even just a few glances from afar are enough to make me feel incredibly nauseous.
The area where it was located was incredibly dense with Shadow energy.
In an instant, Jiang Jie seemed to return to the Tyr's Tomb, back to the time when he faced the servant of the Old Gods, " Zakajz ".
In his mind, only Zakajz could rival such a terrifying creation of the Old Gods.
Zakajz's power permeated the entire territory of Tirisfal. Its evil was so great that even the ancient High Elf dared not linger and were forced to flee to the more distant Quel'Thalas.
And this guy in front of me also possesses such terrifying power.
Even back in Grim Batol, Jiang Jie could sense its power.
Its existence has affected almost the entire Twilight Highlands.
If this problem isn't solved, then the entire Twilight Highlands will never be able to recover its ecosystem.
The Nightmare Behemoth Erudax is also a servant of the Old Gods, their most powerful servant.
Although it is unknown which Old Gods he served, there is no doubt that he was of extremely high status.
But they are also different.
Zakajz and the Faceless Ones General of Ulduar not only possess incredible energy intensity, but also immense individual strength. Despite their relatively small stature, their energy is concentrated to the limit, which is why they have the power to directly confront the Titan Keepers, comparable to the most powerful Demigod.
This Nightmare Behemoth before me is different.
Its enormous size disperses its energy.
Although it possesses a massive body second only to the Old Gods and the Shen-zin Su, its true form is deeply embedded in the earth, unable to move, and can only wave its tentacles at will, releasing those not-so-powerful shadow spells.
It is far easier to deal with than the Faceless Ones General.
In Jiang Jie's view, it was more like Shen-zin Su; although its physical form was powerful, it was not actually as terrifying as imagined.
Destroying such a massive monster is naturally no easy task.
Let alone the main body, even those fleshy tentacles that seem to reach the heavens, when they are swung around, probably even a giant dragon wouldn't dare to approach.
If chosen, even ancient dragons will be injured.
Others had no solution, but Jiang Jie did.
Because he knew this guy's weakness.
Now, he will look for its weaknesses.
Jiang Jie transformed into an eagle that could manipulate lightning, then spread his wings and soared into the sky above the Maw of Madness.
Then it suddenly descended from the sky, folded its wings, and rode the gale and lightning, flying at top speed towards the depths of the Maw of Madness. Powerful beings often possess sufficiently strong mental perception abilities, and the Nightmare Behemoth is no exception.
It sensed Jiang Jie's presence.
It encountered something no less powerful than itself.
So it began a frenzied attack.
More than a dozen fleshy tentacles twitched wildly, countless teeth rubbed together rapidly, and its throat opened and closed as quickly as possible.
However, for such a massive entity, no matter how fast it moves, it can't be very fast; agility determines everything.
Just like a rocking horse, no matter how fast it spins, it still takes time to complete one rotation.
Jiang Jie was fast enough and small enough.
In that split second, he dodged all the fleshy tentacles and writhing teeth, and flew into the throat of Maw of Madness.
Like a fly avoiding a fly swatter.
Inside the Maw of Madness lies the Nightmare Behemoth's mouth and throat.
This being, resembling Old Gods, has a physical structure unlike that of most other creatures.
Its main body is a huge head and a huge mouth inside the head.
Besides these, there were only eyes that were temporarily invisible, and frantically writhing fleshy tentacles.
Therefore, its heart is naturally not as far from the mouth as one might imagine.
In fact, when Jiang Jie fell to the very bottom of the Maw of Madness, he saw the eyes writhing on the walls of flesh and blood all around him, and he also saw the pool of liquid in the very center, which was its bodily fluid.
And hidden deep within this bodily fluid, enveloped by layers of flesh and blood, is its heart.
One by one, slime-like creatures emerged from the surrounding fleshy walls and crawled toward Jiang Jie.
This is the blood of the Nightmare Behemoth, " the Blood of Erudax ".
The Faceless Ones and the Aqir were formed from the flesh and blood that fell from the Old Gods.
The Nightmare Behemoth was naturally inferior to its master, lacking such powerful creation abilities, but the blood flowing from its body could still transform into writhing monsters that swarmed and attacked Jiang Jie.
It contains the spiritual power of the Nightmare Behemoth.
These creatures exude a powerful aura of darkness, and every drop of their blood is highly corrosive. Once you get on them, it's hard to shake them off. They will be eroded by the power of the Nightmare Behemoth, gradually sinking into Nightmare, and eventually being corroded, digested, and turned into nourishment for the Nightmare Behemoth.
The Wildhammer Gryphon Rider had come here to investigate before, and more than one had been caught up in it and ultimately digested into pus.
There is too much of the " Blood of Erudax," it is endless.
Every second, dozens of " Blood of Erudax " are born.
Let alone ordinary professionals, even a Legendary mage would find it difficult to withstand such a dense siege.
And here, inside the Nightmare Behemoth's body.
The surging Shadow energy interferes with all teleportation.
Once you get here, it's hard to leave.
The only person capable of opening a portal and safely escaping amidst such terrifying energy turbulence must be a Legendary mage Teleport.
The Nightmare Behemoth is naturally not as powerful as those renowned Faceless Ones Generals, but it is, after all, Demigod- level being, completely comparable to the Wild Gods.
We still need to be cautious when dealing with it.
If there were no Xal'atath.
