Illidan's transformation unleashed such destructive energy that even Tichondrius retreated, leaving Illidan changed and lying in a scorched desert.

• Jiang Jie poured Waters of the Well of Eternity onto Thori'dal, restoring Anveena and greatly strengthening her.
• Jiang Jie, Anveena, the four Elemental Spirits, and Old Chen defended Illidan as Tichondrius sent demons to disrupt his absorption of the Skull of Gul'dan.
