Ch. 101Araj the Summoner

Jiang Jie helped Gavinrad seize Andorhal’s eastern bridge and was assigned to defend it against repeated undead assaults. As he struggled to reach the hidden necromancers in Andorhal, he discovered that Araj the Summoner had appeared.

  • Gavinrad led the assault on Andorhal’s eastern bridge while Jiang Jie joined him and witnessed the great knight destroy an Abomination.
  • After the bridge was captured, Gavinrad assigned Jiang Jie and a high-ranking Paladin to defend it with three hundred soldiers, while he returned to guard Chillwind Camp and the route to Alterac.
  • Jiang Jie fought several undead attacks each day, improving his Taijiquan while failing to infiltrate Andorhal and kill more than five necromancers in three days.
  • Jiang Jie discovered that Araj the Summoner had appeared, contrary to what history had led him to expect.

Ch. 102The Battle for Andorhal

Jiang Jie warned Gavinrad that Araj the Summoner had arrived in Andorhal and was using a Bone Pile Magic Circle to raise endless skeletons. The Alliance launched a large assault on the city, where Gavinrad led the charge against the Scourge.

  • Jiang Jie reported Araj's presence, the growing undead army, and the Bone Pile Magic Circle to Gavinrad.
  • Gavinrad gathered forces from Chillwind Camp, Hearthglen, the Bulwark, and Ironforge for a surprise assault on Andorhal.
  • Gavinrad and the Chillwind Camp garrison reached the eastern bridge as a Gryphon Rider signaled that the all-out attack had begun.
  • Warriors, rogues, and Paladins fought the undead across the battlefield, suffering heavy casualties despite inflicting major losses.
  • Gavinrad drew waves of skeletons and zombies to himself, but the Holy Light kept the undead from reaching him.

Ch. 103Storm hammers, Gryphon Riders

Gavinrad and Saidan Dathrohan led the assault into Andorhal while Jiang Jie flew above the battle, providing rapid support and assessing the enemy’s defenses. He spotted Araj the Summoner’s forces and the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders, whose storm hammers could devastate the undead.

  • Gavinrad used Consecration and Divine Storm to purify waves of undead before leading Paladins and Warriors toward the northern tower’s bone-pile magic array.
  • Jiang Jie flew over Andorhal to provide rapid support, having already rescued a Paladin, three Warriors, and a mage and killed two elite undead.
  • Saidan Dathrohan led his troops into battle near the western bridge, advancing alongside Gavinrad as a second Grand Knight.
  • Jiang Jie spotted Araj the Summoner in the city center, protected by a large undead force that included Abominations and necromancers.
  • Jiang Jie saw Wildhammer Gryphon Riders and more than a thousand allied troops fighting in western Andorhal, and recognized the riders’ storm hammers as a powerful weapon against the undead.

Ch. 104The four knights of the Silver Hand

Jiang Jie assessed the powerful Silver Hand forces attacking Andorhal and urged Alexandros Mograine to strike Araj the Summoner and the bone-pile magic array by air before the Scourge could call reinforcements. Mograine and Arcanist Doan joined the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders for an assault on the city center.

  • Arcanist Doan used Flamestrike to burn hundreds of Undead in Andorhal.
  • Jiang Jie saw Alexandros Mograine and Tirion Fordring leading separate assaults, while Gavinrad the Dire and Saidan Dathrohan also commanded forces against the city.
  • Jiang Jie warned Mograine that the ground advance would take too long and that Araj could summon help from Scholomance, Stratholme, or Naxxramas.
  • Mograine agreed to Jiang Jie's plan and called on the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders to attack the bone-pile magic array.
  • Arcanist Doan joined Mograine, and more than a hundred gryphons flew toward the center of Andorhal.

Ch. 105The Highlord's Resentment

Jiang Jie, Highlord Mograine, Arcanist Doan, and the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders attacked Araj the Summoner’s undead forces at Andorhal’s North Tower, but a barrier protecting the bone-pile formation blocked their assault. As Doan searched for the barrier’s spell nodes, the party fought off swarming undead and necromancer spells, leaving Mograine under mounting pressure as his Holy Light dwindled.

  • Over a hundred Gryphon Riders attacked the barrier around the bone-pile formation, and Arcanist Doan said he needed ten minutes to find its spell nodes.
  • Jiang Jie jumped from his gryphon and used Flying Dragon in the Sky to scatter skeletons and injure heavier undead.
  • Highlord Mograine descended more cautiously, then fought beside Jiang Jie while Wildhammer dwarves struck undead with their stormhammers.
  • Jiang Jie and Mograine protected Doan as he tried to locate the barrier’s spell nodes amid the dense undead forces.
  • Necromancers attacked the gryphon riders and the group, and Mograine’s Holy Light energy rapidly drained as he resisted their spells.

Ch. 106Your IQ Was Pathetic!

Jiang Jie used Xiao Feng’s computing power to analyze Kel'Thuzad’s magic circle while Highlord Mograine and Doan held off the undead. The analysis revealed more than a dozen weaknesses in the spell barrier, leaving Jiang Jie ready to break it.

  • Doan identified the barrier as an Archmage-level magic circle created by Kel'Thuzad and said it would take days to find a weakness.
  • Highlord Mograine ordered a retreat, but Jiang Jie asked him to hold the undead for ten minutes while Xiao Feng analyzed the circle.
  • Jiang Jie fought alongside Highlord Mograine and Doan, using his armor and protective qi to withstand attacks while the two barriers prevented either side from striking the other.
  • After ten minutes, Xiao Feng sent Jiang Jie a holographic model and analysis report showing more than a dozen weaknesses in the magic circle.

Ch. 107Jiang Jie's Time to Reap

Jiang Jie and Highlord Mograine led an assault on Araj the Summoner’s stronghold, breaking its magical barrier and killing its necromancers and Undead. After Mograine destroyed Araj’s Lich body, Jiang Jie ordered the group to find Araj’s phylactery and Kel’Thuzad’s corpse.

  • Jiang Jie studied the barrier’s model, identified its weak points, and directed Mograine, Arcanist Doan, and the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders to attack them.
  • Jiang Jie breached a weak node with a rapid series of attacks, allowing him and Mograine to charge through the collapsing barrier.
  • Mograine drew the enemy’s attention while Jiang Jie killed the necromancers; the Gryphon Riders then destroyed the Bone Pile Magic Circle and the surrounding Undead.
  • Mograine struck Araj with the Sword of Holy Light, purifying his Lich body and leaving behind an enchanted chain, a metal crown, and a robe.
  • Jiang Jie took a skeleton key and told Mograine to destroy Araj’s phylactery and search the area for Kel’Thuzad’s corpse.

Ch. 108Infernals from the sky

After the Grand Knights found Kel'Thuzad's corpse in Andorhal, Tichondrius seized it and summoned a horde of infernals. Jiang Jie directed the forces to fight the infernals while the Grand Knights and archmages prepared to face Tichondrius.

  • Gavinrad ordered the warriors to dig up Kel'Thuzad's corpse after the undead in Andorhal had been mostly purified.
  • Tichondrius knocked aside Gavinrad's warhammer, took Kel'Thuzad's corpse, and flew into the sky.
  • Tichondrius opened rifts to the Twisting Nether and sent more than twenty infernals crashing across Andorhal.
  • The infernals killed and burned several soldiers as the troops scattered to escape the falling meteors.
  • Jiang Jie ordered the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders to attack the infernals and called on the Grand Knights and archmages to fight Tichondrius.

Ch. 109Two Beams of Legendary Holy Light

Uther the Lightbringer and Fenna Goldensword arrived during the battle with Tichondrius, and their combined holy light severely wounded him. Tichondrius escaped with Kel'Thuzad's corpse, while the Paladins learned that Fenna had become a Grand Knight and Ashbringer now belonged to her.

  • Tichondrius kept the Paladins and Archmage Doan at bay from the air, leaving them unable to stop him from threatening Andorhal.
  • Uther the Lightbringer and Fenna Goldensword arrived, and Fenna wielded Ashbringer as a newly advanced Grand Knight.
  • The Paladins' holy light gathered into two pillars around Uther and Fenna, striking Tichondrius and badly injuring him.
  • Tichondrius fled with Kel'Thuzad's corpse and threatened to have Arthas destroy the Order of the Silver Hand.
  • Tirion Fordring and Highlord Mograine realized that Ashbringer had bonded with Fenna and no longer belonged to Mograine.

Ch. 110Whoever wields the Ashbringer is a legend!

Fenna kept the Ashbringer after it rejected Highlord Mograine and Tirion Fordring, though both felt it brought them closer to legendary rank. Uther then revealed that Arthas had become a death knight and was returning to Lordaeron with Tichondrius to kill King Terenas and destroy the kingdom.

  • Uther explained that the Ashbringer recognized Fenna as its sole master, and Mograine accepted that it was not meant for him.
  • Jiang Jie suggested Mograine and Tirion test whether the Ashbringer could help them advance to legendary rank.
  • Mograine and Tirion each wielded the Ashbringer and sensed the legendary realm, but neither gained its recognition.
  • Tirion thanked Fenna for helping save them, and Fenna explained how Jaina and Uther had reached Chillwind Camp.
  • Jaina said the enemy had been Tichondrius, the leader of the Dreadlords, and Jiang Jie asked whether they had found Arthas.
  • Uther revealed that Arthas had become a death knight, killed many Wildhammer Gryphon Riders with Tichondrius, captured Korth'azz, and planned to kill King Terenas and destroy Lordaeron.

Ch. 111There will be bread, and legendary weapons too!

Jiang Jie urged Uther to return to Lordaeron in case Tichondrius attacked, while he, Fenna, and Jaina stayed to help Tirion destroy the Infernals and cleanse Andorhal. He promised Fenna that he would help her earn the prestige to wield the Ashbringer and hinted that an even greater legendary weapon awaited her.

  • Jiang Jie warned Uther that Tichondrius might attack Lordaeron, so Uther took several Grand Knights and Jaina and Doan through a portal back to the kingdom.
  • Jiang Jie and Fenna stayed in Andorhal with Tirion, while Jaina used frost magic and the Wildhammer Gryphon Riders fought the Infernals.
  • Fenna thanked Jiang Jie for helping her obtain the Ashbringer and worried that she lacked the prestige to satisfy the other Grand Knights.
  • Jiang Jie told Fenna to earn a glorious victory and promised to help her build her reputation, then suggested they attack Scholomance first.

Ch. 112A measure of mastery

Jiang Jie convinced Jaina that an elite team could infiltrate Scholomance using a Skeleton Key, and they agreed to set out the next morning. During the night, he trained in his martial arts and learned that Taijiquan had reached a measure of mastery, while Xiao Feng hinted at another suitable martial art.

  • Jiang Jie proposed using the Skeleton Key to infiltrate Scholomance with Jaina and Fenna, and Jaina agreed to the plan.
  • Jiang Jie left Chillwind Camp at night to practice and then entered the gaming pod to train in martial arts.
  • Jiang Jie sparred with Luzhang and Luchi and fought bandits at Earthly Fiend Mountain, where he was killed eighteen times.
  • Xiao Feng said Jiang Jie's Taijiquan had reached a measure of mastery and criticized his progress in other martial arts.
  • Xiao Feng told Jiang Jie to postpone learning lightness skills and pointed out a different martial art suited to him.

Ch. 113Crane-Controlling Dragon-Capturing Hand

Jiang Jie began learning the Crane-Controlling Dragon-Capturing Hand, struggling to catch flies with internal energy before stopping from exhaustion. The next morning, he promised Fenna he would teach her after they raided Scholomance, and they set off with Jaina ready.

  • Xiao Feng explained the four realms of the Crane-Controlling Dragon-Capturing Hand and showed Jiang Jie demonstrations of its power.
  • Xiao Feng sent Jiang Jie to the Flying Bird Secret Chamber, where he spent hours practicing the Fly-Catching Hand and eventually caught several flies, though they all died.
  • Jiang Jie left the gaming pod exhausted and slept in the barracks.
  • At dawn, Jiang Jie practiced Taiji, the Five Animal Frolics, and Ten Brocades before Fenna arrived with the Ashbringer.
  • Jiang Jie promised Fenna he would teach her after they raided Scholomance and returned to Lordaeron; Fenna said she also needed time to adjust to the Ashbringer.
  • Jaina was ready to leave, so Jiang Jie and Fenna set off together.

Ch. 114A-move All the Way

Jiang Jie and his companions infiltrated Caer Darrow Manor and entered Scholomance, the undead stronghold beneath it. After killing its guard, they prepared to fight through the packed corridors head-on.

  • Jiang Jie explained how the Barov Family had helped establish Scholomance beneath Caer Darrow Manor after losing most of its lands to King Terenas.
  • Jiang Jie led Jaina and Fenna over the mountains to Caer Darrow Island, avoiding the undead-filled bridge.
  • Jaina used invisibility to help the three enter the manor, where they passed the moss-covered Barov statue and remnants of its defenses.
  • Jiang Jie killed Kirtonos the Herald and used the Skeleton Key to open a door leading underground.
  • The companions encountered Scholomance's dense undead population, and Jiang Jie told Fenna and Jaina they would force their way through together.

Ch. 115The mistress of the Barov Family

Fenna, Jiang Jie, and Jaina fought their way into Scholomance and found Jandice Barov teaching illusion magic in the Hall of Illusions. Fenna charged into the room, where plague candles had raised more than a hundred skeletons, and turned her attention to the Risen Warriors.

  • Fenna used Ashbringer to destroy undead as the group advanced through Scholomance with Jaina's Water Elemental supporting them.
  • Jiang Jie had Xiao Feng expand the gaming pod's scan, allowing them to avoid large groups and locate the Hall of Illusions.
  • Jiang Jie identified Jandice Barov and twenty-seven necromancer apprentices inside, then considered bypassing the boss.
  • Fenna rushed to the hall and split its magically defended door with one slash, forcing Jiang Jie to follow her in.
  • The group found more than a hundred skeletons raised by plague candles, and Fenna burned the approaching skeletons while charging at the Risen Warriors.

Ch. 116A lich in a woman's robe

Jiang Jie and Fenna fought their way through Scholomance toward the lich Ras Frostwhisper, while Jaina stayed behind to confront Jandice Barov. Ras trapped Jiang Jie and Fenna between walls of ice, and Jiang Jie suspected the lich’s purple robe had once belonged to Jandice.

  • Jaina froze the surrounding undead and went to face Jandice Barov while Jiang Jie led Fenna away.
  • Jiang Jie and Fenna broke through the undead blockade and found Ras Frostwhisper leading the approaching enemies.
  • Ras Frostwhisper questioned the intruders, but Fenna charged him with Ashbringer as Jiang Jie cleared a path with The Proud Dragon Repents.
  • Ras Frostwhisper encased Ashbringer in ice and trapped Jiang Jie and Fenna between two thick ice walls.
  • Jiang Jie noticed Ras Frostwhisper wore a purple robe that seemed designed for a woman and suspected it had belonged to Jandice Barov.

Ch. 117The seventh palm: Sudden Arrival

Jiang Jie and Fenna fought Ras Frostwhisper in a stalemate until Jiang Jie’s sudden palm broke the lich’s Frost Armor and left him trapped in ice. Fenna struck Ras Frostwhisper with the Ashbringer and purified him, leaving Jiang Jie to collect the tattered robe and enchanted chains.

  • Fenna repeatedly broke through Ras Frostwhisper’s ice walls while his frost spells failed to harm her, and Jiang Jie entered Stealth to circle behind the lich.
  • Jiang Jie used Sudden Arrival to shatter Ras Frostwhisper’s Frost Armor, but Ras Frostwhisper froze him inside an ice coffin with Deep Freeze.
  • Fenna charged past Jiang Jie and pierced Ras Frostwhisper with the Ashbringer and Sword of Holy Light.
  • The Ashbringer’s holy flames purified Ras Frostwhisper, leaving enchanted chains and a tattered Alanna's Embrace.
  • Jiang Jie broke free after the ice coffin melted, picked up the purple robe, and found it ruined.

Ch. 118You're all dead, and I'm still alive and well

Jiang Jie, Fenna, and Jaina fought their way through Scholomance, freeing no prisoners until they could defeat its master. They reached Headmaster Gandling, whose confidence and strength Jiang Jie assessed as three other figures stood beside him.

  • Jiang Jie and Fenna pressed through Scholomance, defeating undead and Professor Theolen Krastinov as they searched for Darkmaster Gandling.
  • Jaina caught up and reported that Lady Jandice's soul was at rest.
  • The group found living prisoners held for experiments, but Jiang Jie stopped Fenna from rescuing them until the undead threat was defeated.
  • Jiang Jie, Fenna, and Jaina reached Headmaster Gandling and saw him surrounded by undead and accompanied by three other figures.

Ch. 119Who Would Dare Come to Scholomance Without Real Skill?

Jiang Jie, Fenna, and Jaina fought Headmaster Gandling and Scholomance’s gathered undead and necromancers. Jiang Jie killed several necromancers before Ravenian attacked him.

  • Headmaster Gandling gathered his surviving necromancers and undead to attack Jiang Jie, Fenna, and Jaina.
  • Jiang Jie used defensive abilities and vanished into Stealth while Fenna fought with the Ashbringer and Jaina confronted Gandling.
  • Jaina blocked Gandling’s Improved Arcane Missiles with an ice wall and challenged him directly.
  • Jiang Jie used his rogue abilities to kill seven necromancers while avoiding their area attacks.
  • Ravenian attacked Jiang Jie, who recognized the ghoul as the danger closed in.

Ch. 120With me here, that was enough!

Jiang Jie crippled the elite Ghoul Ravenian and assessed the battle at Scholomance, where Jaina and Fenna were struggling against the Undead. He turned his attention to Alex Barov, whose Unholy Aura strengthened the surrounding Undead, and prepared to take him on.

  • Jiang Jie used Pegasus Meteor Finger to shatter Ravenian’s knees and elbows, then struck the helpless Ghoul down with Taijiquan.
  • Jiang Jie saw that Jaina was occupied fighting Darkmaster Gandling, Illucia, and other necromancers.
  • Fenna was stalled by groups of Undead and necromancers who overwhelmed her with spells and traps.
  • Jiang Jie recognized that Alex Barov’s Unholy Aura empowered the nearby Undead.
  • Jiang Jie told Fenna to leave Alex to him.
