Xuan Ming escaped his traffickers, became entangled with Dugu Bo and the Heaven Dou court, and killed Baers during a staged hunt. Yue Guan abducted him and brought him to Bibi Dong, who discovered that Xuan Ming’s fused martial souls were damaging his cultivation.
Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue competed for Xuan Ming while his damaged Martial Souls threatened his life. After Bibi Dong repaired their conflict, he returned to Heaven Dou City under Spirit Hall's orders and sought Dugu Bo's help in pretending to cooperate.
Xuan Ming gained the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ aid, secured a powerful Soul Ring and Soul Bone, and formed wary ties with Ah Rou, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Qian Renxue. Five years later, he traveled with Qian Renxue to Suotuo City to test the growing power of his Blood Spear, where their quarrel continued.
Xuan Ming helped Zhu Zhuqing, clashed with Shrek’s fighters, and obtained gifts for Bibi Dong and Hu Liena in the Star Dou Great Forest. His visit to Spirit City ended in a dangerous confrontation with Bibi Dong, after which he recovered and returned to Heaven Dou City.
Xuan Ming returned to Suotuo City, rejoined the Shrek group, and became entangled in conflicts over his growing ties to Qian Renxue, Bibi Dong, and Hu Liena. Qian Daoliu tried to kill him in Sunset Forest, but Xuan Ming survived and the arc ended with Qian Renxue confronting Bibi Dong over her feelings for him.
Xuan Ming obtained a Thundering Hell Vine Soul Ring and seized control of Thunder Valley’s lightning, then his conflict with the factions escalated after he froze Yu Luomian. He rejected attempts at compromise and prepared to leave for Slaughter City, expecting to become a target after losing everyone’s trust.
Xuan Ming returned from the Star Dou Great Forest stronger and entered the tournament with a new team, while rival factions and Spirit Hall scrutinized him. After Shi Nian trapped him in a nightmare, Gu Yuena entered Xuan Ming’s mental world to try to bring him back.
Xuan Ming led the Imperial Fighting Team through its tournament matches, absorbed a mental-attribute Soul Bone, and faced both Qian Renxue and Tang Hao. After Bibi Dong rejected Yu Xiaogang’s request for help with Tang San, Xuan Ming decided to stop Tang San’s planned Blue Silver Emperor awakening to preserve Ah Yin’s chance to revive.
Xuan Ming won the tournament amid Spirit Hall’s power struggle, then entered Slaughter City with Hu Liena to complete the Hell Slaughter Arena challenge. As the King of Slaughter opened Hell Road, Hu Liena’s growing attachment and dangerous trial remained unresolved.
Xuan Ming reached Sea God Island and mastered the Blood Spear through a deadly first trial. His next trial sent him seeking greater strength, and he secured Sky Dream Ice Silkworm’s sacrifice before forcing the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King to agree to sacrifice himself.
Xuan Ming strengthened Bibi Dong, helped her survive the clash between Rakshasa and Asura powers, and destroyed Slaughter City to secure the Asura Divine Power she needed. After Bibi Dong began the Asura trials, unrest within the Spirit Hall Empire grew, while anti-Spirit Hall forces gathered in Heaven Dou City.
Xuan Ming shattered the great empires’ defenses, gained divine consciousness through the Evil Emperor’s sacrifice, and resolved his relationships to complete his Fourth Trial. After becoming a True God, he began his Fifth Trial by expanding Soul Tool development and seeking an alternative to hunting Soul Beasts for Soul Rings.
Xuan Ming established the Divine Pillar system, crushed the empires’ resistance, and completed his trials to forge a Godhead of his own. He entered God’s Forbidden Land to save Gu Yuena, defeated the Golden Dragon King, and accepted the God Kings’ proposal to take on the Dragon God’s power, leaving Gu Yuena without her Silver Dragon King power or Dragon God’s Heart.
Xuan Ming awakened with the Dragon God’s power, helped Gu Yuena and the others transform the Divine Realm, and established a new order across the gods and Douluo Star. After ten thousand years forging the Primordial Beginning Godhood, he returned to Douluo Star and confronted Huo Yuhao over the Soul Spirit System and the churches opposing it.
Xuan Ming returned to Douluo Star and watched Huo Yuhao challenge its corrupt institutions before the gods intervened against their borrowed divine power. After years with his partners and recruiting Tang Ya, Xuan Ming left mortal affairs to humanity as Huo Yuhao abandoned his corrupted legacy to join the Divine Realm's expedition.
