Qingmu investigated Mo Yu’s sleepwalking and a headless woman’s murder, uncovering a family’s attempt to hide a killing. The arc ended with Qingmu and Hu Xing trapped underground after Ma Fuqing confessed, then hearing a gunshot above them.
Qingmu investigated the Mirror Pyramid theory, helped protect Mo Yu from Jiang Deqian, and exposed the abuse of Xia Tian. He then entered Xia Wenyuan’s dream with Hu Xing, where they watched a shadow attack him.
Qingmu rescued Mo Yu and Bi Shenghua from Liang Kai’s mirror maze and Jiang Deqian, while Hu Xing began learning lucid dreaming. In Copenhagen, Mei Yiqiu learned that Evans Lester had warned of parasitic consciousnesses, and Qingmu later met a disheveled man who recognized him as being from “over there.”
Qingmu investigated Liu Huaian’s tragic past before traveling with Shi Dazhuang to bring Yu Meiren away from Kuaziba. After helping Yu Meiren face her grief and uncovering the captivity of Yang Lijuan and Xiaoqin, Qingmu fought off their attackers, and Meng Yan took charge of the aftermath.
Qingmu uncovered Medicine Granny’s trafficking network and pursued the people behind it, while Du Juan drew him into a cave whose shared dream trapped prisoners in an older Japanese war setting. He learned the cave was controlled by a hypnosis formation tied to Situ and found a hidden mechanism beneath the river.
Qingmu rescued Yu Meiren and other captives, destroyed Wu Suotun’s operation, and helped the police bring the cross-border drug network down. After Yu Gang’s burial, Qingmu recognized a possible link between Ma Fuqing and the pig cages in the cave, leaving a new suspicion to investigate.
Qingmu rescued Yao Jingjing, confronted Ma Fuqing, and helped investigate the strange presence in Mama Yao’s dreams. After returning to Wuzhong, he learned of Mr. Lester’s death and was given a metal eye mask by Mei Yiqiu.
Qingmu joined Mei Yiqiu in investigating invading consciousnesses, helped Xia Wenyuan and Hong Zhenlong confront their dream shadows, and learned of a possible connection to Ronald Cohen and the Third Space Foundation. Hong Zhenlong agreed to join Professor Mei’s foundation and prepare to leave for Los Angeles, while he continued asking Qingmu to become the Wolf family heir.
Qingmu rescued Bi Shenghua, brought Hou Biao into his security company, and learned of a possible link between parasitic consciousnesses, the Gray Brain Virus, and Situ Xingzhi’s experiments. He then earned Xia Bozhou’s trust and secretly brought Xia Wenyuan and Wu Lixia toward a reunion with Xia Xiaoxiao.
As a cat-killing campaign spread, Qingmu and Mei Yiqiu investigated the Gray Brain Virus and tested whether a connected network could develop consciousness. The test revealed Ghost and led to a collaboration with Bian Ziyuan and Kronos, while Arthur Stone’s submarine search continued elsewhere.
As Qingmu made contact with Ghost and learned how the network consciousness saw humanity, he investigated the Gray Brain Virus and the people connected to stolen organs. He confronted Zhao Pengcheng in a dream and left him resisting questions about his kind.
Qingmu escaped Zhao Pengcheng’s dream and uncovered more about the Dream Society, then reunited with Bi Shenghua and pursued Hanran. While dealing with Mama Yao’s sealed memory, he found Cuan Yifang’s hidden key and entered the Awakening Sacred Land.
Qingmu tested the Dream Guide and learned more about the lost expedition, while Ghost uncovered Captain Church’s diary and Zhao Pengcheng escaped prison. The diary began revealing the Discovery’s strange voyage toward Ghost Island, where an upside-down pyramid had been found.
The Discovery’s log revealed vanished ruins, abnormal seas, and the rescue of Situ before the ship’s destruction. Qingmu investigated the Hua Family’s past and traveled to the South Pacific with Su Huilan, where their search for Petru left him facing a gunman’s mental barrier.
Qingmu and Su Huilan confronted Petru on Tubuai Island and won his help by promising to rescue Lawiye. As Su Huilan explained the Awakeners' Alliance and the dreamlike nature of their world, attackers arrived, and Qingmu noticed an unexplained swelling on one of their bodies.
Qingmu, Su Huilan, and Petru pursued the research vessel’s mystery to an island hidden by strange mental energy, while Bian Ziyuan tested Dream Guide and Huang Liang uncovered the organization’s Elite Breeding Project. The group reached the island and began searching for the modern people and its inhabitants.
Qingmu and Su Huilan searched the island for Alice, Anderson, and Mrs. Larry while uncovering its dreamlike spatial distortions and the islanders’ resistance to mental control. After finding a possible antidote and confronting the island’s force field, they were left questioning whether they occupied two worlds at once.
Qingmu and Su Huilan searched the warped island for Petru and Mrs. Larry as its tribe, altar, and strange river became caught in a lunar disaster. The island’s space began collapsing, and the group followed the savages through an upward-flowing waterfall toward a crater on the moon.
Qingmu’s group reunited with Situ on the island and learned that their time there had passed differently from the time they remembered. Nearly a year later, Bi Shenghua waited for Qingmu’s return while Mei Yiqiu monitored suspected Parasites and Huang Liang received a new assignment involving the Space Box.
Qingmu took the tribal shaman’s scepter and became a figure of worship, while the others investigated the island’s strange powers and the stories behind its people. Back in the outside world, Yao Jingjing uncovered family history tied to a 1931 photograph, and Bi Shenghua moved to protect the old willow at Mulberry Garden.
