"Mu Fan!"
The moment the girl entered, she saw Mu Fan sitting on the operating table wearing nothing but a pair of boxer briefs, staring at her in stunned disbelief.
"Bai..." Mu Fan had just opened his mouth.
"Ah."
The imposing aura Bai Guyue had painstakingly gathered in front of everyone moments ago instantly collapsed. She hurriedly covered her face with her right hand while her left still gripped the case tightly.
Though her slender palm covered her eyes, it could not hide the blush rapidly spreading up from her neck.
Mu Fan froze for a moment, then still called out the three words, "Bai Guyue," before breaking into an open, easy smile.
She was still much the same as when he had first met her.
Timid and easily embarrassed—this was the girl he remembered. After seeing what had happened outside through the one-way glass, Mu Fan had nearly thought Bai Guyue had somehow gained an older sister.
Hearing Mu Fan's carefree laughter, Bai Guyue lowered her hand. Seeing Mu Fan covered in tubes, she stomped her foot in anger. Forgetting how exposed he currently was, concern flashed through her eyes before she rushed up to him with a mixture of embarrassment and anger.
"You're still laughing!"
"Alright, I won't laugh. I just wasn't used to it for a moment." Mu Fan casually waved his hand.
But that movement instantly sent sharp pain from the fractures inside his body shooting through his nerves.
"Cough!"
Mu Fan's chest shook, and traces of blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.
"Mu Fan, lie down!"
Bai Guyue was angry now, and she no longer stammered when she spoke.
Was it really so hard for a patient to lie down properly?
"Alright, I'll lie down."
Gritting his teeth, Mu Fan lay back down
