At last, he saw it again...
Mu Fan's gaze grew colder and colder. That blood-red, heavy figure charged like a mountain-shoving, pillar-toppling force.
When he saw Zheng carrying Ying Lin'er and about to rush into the golden pillar of light's range, a cold gleam surfaced in Mu Fan's eyes. His entire body suddenly twisted and vanished like a wisp of smoke.
As Zheng ran, his heart suddenly jolted. He had the illusion... that someone was watching him.
But the feeling quickly disappeared.
He turned to look around.
"What is it?" Ying Lin'er's face was abnormally pale. The temperature outside was too biting; she felt frozen stiff all over, and even speaking took immense effort.
"I was overthinking it."
Zheng lowered his head and sprinted onward.
The commotion finally drew the attention of those hiding within the golden pillar of light. One person stepped out and raised a grim gun barrel at the distance.
"This place is occupied!"
The man wore a black triangular scarf around his face. The thick double-barreled shotgun in his hands radiated an unmistakable warning to stay away.
Zheng suddenly raised his head, fury blazing in his eyes. "Get lost!"
He charged forward like a Raging Bull.
The man in the triangular scarf finally grew angry as well, but he said nothing at first. A vicious glint flashed in his eyes before he coldly said, "You're courting death."
His wrist gave a slight tremble.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Three waves of fire erupted from the muzzle in rapid succession.
The thunderous blasts also sent out enormous shockwaves.
This modified hand cannon possessed terrifying power.
It was actually capable of three consecutive shots.
Zheng had barely shifted half a meter when a burst of sparks exploded where he had been.
But that was only one of the shots.
Bang!
