Outside the shuttle-shaped aircraft, a ring of fully armed soldiers had already surrounded it.
Wearing the Federation's signature blue respirators, their OW42 Pulse Rifles pointed downward, they watched the aircraft under the command of a major.
The major looked at the single-person aircraft radiating heat and found it particularly amusing.

On a planet with such a harsh environment, he was still using this utterly uncomfortable single-soldier aircraft. They were even too stingy to provide a troop carrier.
"Captain Charles, go help our friend open the aircraft," the major said with a smile to the man beside him.
Just then, white vapor hissed from the hatch. The person inside had actually opened the door himself.
"Looks like our new friend has excellent physical conditioning."
Amid the billowing white mist, a young man in an ordinary soldier's uniform appeared. The respirator covering his nose and mouth effectively filtered out the rusty smell in the planet's air.
After sweeping his bright black eyes across the surroundings, he bent his knees and jumped down, carrying a massive field pack.
The major narrowed his eyes at the young man before him and sneered inwardly, though he wore a friendly expression.
"Welcome, Private Mu Fan! I am Major Gerry of the 149th Division. I was ordered to receive you here." He gave a flawless standard military salute.
"Private Mu Fan, reporting." Mu Fan returned an equally standard salute, though he was somewhat puzzled. Falcon had already said that his identity was nothing special, so why would a major be so friendly toward him?
Still, this allowed Mu Fan to relax somewhat. Perhaps he had been overly sensitive to the word war.
