An officer walked straight toward Mu Fan, feeling a faint sense of delight.
This important task had actually fallen into his hands.
"Captain Mu Fan."
Martin walked over and saluted Mu Fan.
"May I have a word with you?"
Mu Fan raised his head, looked at him with a faintly amused smile, and gently shook his head.
That gesture made the major's expression turn somewhat unpleasant, but he did not dare act up.
There was no other reason than the Great Lightning Owl behind him.
That single mech gave Mu Fan more than enough confidence for this conversation.
"I don't know what Captain Mu Fan means. I hope you can understand the military department's reasonable request. After all, you are still a Federation soldier. Please believe us, Mr. Mu Fan. We will not pose any threat to your personal safety."
Mu Fan still shook his head. Captain Martin had no idea how to continue, but the Army Group's orders constantly reminded him that this matter had to be handled—and handled well.

Mu Fan casually flicked his right hand. A streak of silver arced through the air and flew straight toward him.
Captain Martin instinctively caught it, only then feeling the faint warmth of metal in his palm.
