When Zhang Shengsheng saw the other man coming to the kitchen with him, he began trying to strike up a conversation.

Standing to one side, Wen He watched the two discuss how to peel an apple, then quietly left the kitchen and returned to his original spot on the sofa.

It seemed they didn't need his help...

Seeing Wen He come back out, Jiang Yu leaned against the sofa, his gaze lingering on Wen He as he slowly opened his mouth. "Why didn't you stay with them?"

Wen He answered honestly, "They didn't look like they needed my help."

That answer amused Jiang Yu. He covered his mouth, his eyes curving with laughter, looking just like a sly fox that had gotten its way.

"You're so interesting... Aren't you interested at all?"

Wen He shook his head. He wasn't interested. He only wanted to quietly stay for the full month, then take the enormous sum of money back to his little home and draw.

Seeing his blank expression, Jiang Yu couldn't resist moving over to lean against the sofa beside Wen He. He twirled his long, jet-black hair in his hand, but the ends wound around Wen He's sleeve.

Bored, Jiang Yu toyed with the strands, brushing them over the fabric covering Wen He's arm.

Although there was a layer of cotton between them, Wen He still felt an itch on the patch of skin the hair had brushed.

He looked up, a trace of confusion in his clear, pristine eyes.

"?"

Jiang Yu sighed and stopped what he was doing, a hint of resentment in his eyes.

"Nothing... Carry on."

Wen He looked away, stuck out a paw, and rolled up his sleeve to start scratching.

The first thing Ji Chi saw when he stepped into the house was Jiang Yu teasing the other man.

In fact, he had already been standing there for a minute. He had only intended to see what sort of people were in this house, but instead had stumbled upon this scene of one man interested and the other indifferent.

His gaze followed Wen He's movements, settling on the skin he had already scratched red.

Very pale. Ji Chi lowered his head to look at his own forearm. They ought to make quite a contrast standing together.

He casually left the black suitcase in his hand some distance away, then walked into the room.

Hearing the sound, Jiang Yu immediately got up, composed himself, and stepped forward to greet him.

"Hi."

At the sound, Wen He stopped scratching and got up along with Jiang Yu. Once he noticed the newcomer had already put his suitcase away, he promptly sat back down and continued scratching.

It seemed he didn't need his help either...

But... why did this person look so familiar?

"Mm."

Ji Chi merely nodded slightly in greeting, then walked over to the sofa where Jiang Yu had been reclining.

Faced with his cold reception, Jiang Yu struggled to keep his smile in place. Still, he said nothing and simply returned to his original seat.

A lingering fragrance assailed his nose. Ji Chi frowned slightly, but it was soon replaced by a faint, fresh scent.

He looked at Wen He, who was still scratching, only for the other man to suddenly stop and turn to stare at him.

Ji Chi raised an eyebrow and leaned back against the sofa.

Wen He stared at those few strands of red hair as scattered images gathered in his mind.

He looked... he looked like... ?

"Ji Chi."

Oh, so it was Ji Chi, the devoted second male lead from the dream?

Wait! Why was the second male lead from the dream here?!

The young man's blank gaze seemed to be shocked by something, then shattered. He furrowed his brows, the corners of his mouth unconsciously lifting as he quietly stared at the other man's handsome face and those few strands of red hair, beginning to think.

Even Jiang Yu noticed the change in his mood.

After all, ever since Jiang Yu had entered the house, Wen He had always worn a faintly detached expression, as though none of this concerned him. The way he looked now couldn't help stirring a little curiosity in Jiang Yu.

Both of them turned their gazes toward Ji Chi, who sat with one leg crossed over the other, leisurely bouncing his foot.

Jiang Yu couldn't help sizing him up. He was very curious about just what magic this man possessed.

Seeing Wen He staring blankly at him, Ji Chi reached out a fingertip and flicked the cowlick on top of Wen He's head, raising one eyebrow with a teasing smile.

"What? Dazzled?"

At his words, Jiang Yu looked away, speechless. Even Wen He couldn't help inwardly rolling his eyes.

The same personality... the same... looks. Even those few strands of red hair were the same.

One look confirmed it: he was the devoted second male lead from the dream... Did that mean the dream was real?

Wen He still found it a little hard to believe, but once he came back to his senses, he stopped staring. After all, the man looked rather punchable.

Jiang Yu wasn't interested in Ji Chi's type.

Compared with Ji Chi, he preferred Wei Xun's type. His gaze unconsciously drifted toward the two talking in the kitchen.

Seeing Wen He look away, his expression returning to exactly what it had been when Ji Chi arrived, Ji Chi uncrossed his legs and asked him a question.

"What's your name? I'm Ji Chi. And you?"

He was very curious whether the other man was putting on an act or was genuinely that dense.

"Wen He. His name is Jiang Yu." Remembering the few times Jiang Yu had helped explain things for him, Wen He paused before adding Jiang Yu's name.

"Oh~ Wen He. Which Wen? Which He?" Ji Chi stared at Wen He's face, pretending to ponder.

Very clean... very delicate-looking. But compared with those features, he was more interested in Wen He's vacant eyes.

"The Wen in Wen He, and the He in Wen He."

"Which Wen is the Wen in Wen He? Which He is the He in Wen He? You still haven't made that clear."

Being stared at like prey for so long inevitably felt a little uncomfortable. He frowned slightly, drawing in his neck and pressing himself against the left side of the sofa, trying to escape the other man's gaze as much as possible.

He didn't like talking too much with this person...

This answer was a little different from the one Wen He had originally given him. Jiang Yu turned to look at Wen He, who had almost been crowded off the sofa, and spoke first to get him out of the situation.

"Wen as in 'gentle,' and He as in 'grain seedling.'"

Ji Chi stopped staring at Wen He and turned a disdainful look on Jiang Yu. He gave a cold snort through his nose and replied indifferently, "Mm."

Looking at his designer clothes and arrogant expression, Jiang Yu felt displeased. He hated spoiled young masters like this, because these people always treated everything as playthings.

Although he didn't understand why this man had come on the show, and why he looked so utterly fearless even while taking part, Jiang Yu felt he ought to warn Wen He to stay away from people like him.

[Oh my... Male guest five is kind of hot.]

[You call that kind of? He's so hot I'm drooling. I like this type. Pant, pant.]

[But I feel like he's a little rude...]

[Boohoo... My Jiang-He ship! Our Jiang-Jiang is getting Little He out of a tight spot... Love it, love it.]

[I really hate this male guest five. He seems so rude!]

[Poor baby Little He, boohoo...]

[Uh... Unless I'm mistaken, male guest five is wearing high, high, high-end bespoke clothing from head to toe. And his ear stud... Hiss...]

[Hiss... Looks like it...]

[One look confirmed it~ I couldn't afford it even if I went bankru-u-u-u... (several hundred words omitted here) ...upt.]

[Is it really that ridiculous? I'm going to search for the same ones.]

[Isn't that just something you buy on Pinduoduo for 9.9 yuan?]

[Uh... Person above, how about looking up the genuine article?]

[Holy shit?]

[WTF?]

[Holy crap?]

[If I were that rich, I'd talk to them with my nose in the air too.]

[That still doesn't excuse being so rude?! Anyway! Male guest five, do you need a lover? I'm reasonably good-looking.]

[You up there, I want to check your cards~]

[Check your damn big fat head.]

[Why~ are you swearing~?]
