Nature and Mechanics

Spiritual Power is higher in level than Soul Power, but it is not interchangeable with it. Soul Power is an energy born from a Martial Soul and cultivated by absorbing the essence of heaven and earth; Spiritual Power is soul force itself and governs the use of Soul Power 258.

A Spiritual Power realm does not necessarily match its user's Soul Power cultivation. Huo Yuhao could use his overwhelming Spiritual Power to contend with opponents far above his nominal rank, but his weaker Soul Power cultivation still restricted the methods he could sustain 143 373.

Spiritual Attribute Martial Souls are exceptionally rare, and compatible Spiritual Attribute Soul Beasts are rarer still, making suitable Soul Rings difficult to obtain through ordinary hunting 2.

Applications

Perception and Communication

Spiritual Power can be projected to survey terrain, locate people, exchange thoughts, and sense internal energy.

• Huo Yuhao's Soul Detection covered several kilometers—nearly half of Shrek City—even while he held back 24.
• Spiritual Insight can observe the flow of Soul Power inside a target's body and read their memories 423 566.

Mental Defense and Memory Protection

Spiritual Power can defend the Sea of Spirit and resist mental intrusion.

• At the Spirit Abyss Realm, Huo Yuhao could establish a safeguard that would erase his past-life memories if enemies attempted to thoroughly search his Sea of Spirit 5.
• Bibi Dong's divine sense later guarded Huo Yuhao's Sea of Spirit against intrusion while he remained on the Douluo Plane 9.
• Some Soul Tools possess specialized resistance to Spiritual Power; Huo Yuhao could not penetrate the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud with mental probing 373.

Mental Pressure and Direct Attack

Spiritual Power can become a destructive force when amplified through techniques or soul skills.
