Background / History

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King, the half of the Dragon God that embodies wisdom and commands the nine great elements. The previous Asura God's strike split the Dragon God in two and left her divine soul gravely wounded. As Soul Beast Co-lord, she bears responsibility for the survival and eventual revival of the soul beast race. 188 418

When she first confronts Huo Yuhao, Gu Yuena tests whether he truly deserves recognition as the Son of Fortune. Although his Million Year Soul Rings impress her, she initially sees his fortune as a resource to seize for the soul beasts rather than a reason to ally with him. Huo Yuhao's knowledge of the Dragon God's fall and his proposal for the soul beast lineage force her to reconsider. 93 94

Gu Yuena later helps preserve Zhongli Yu's life with her power of creation, reigniting her fading life force. After Huo Yuhao swears before the previous Dragon God that he will help the soul beasts become gods in the future—with Gu Yuena as the Dragon God—she accepts his sincerity. 95

Huo Yuhao brings her to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well so that she may absorb the dragon souls of the Water and Fire Dragon Kings. The nourishment substantially benefits her wounded divine soul, while the Life Energy released at the well restores most of her remaining injuries. 188 192 195
