After returning to the past, Xia Zhiyi protects Xia Wanyi, rejects the Song family’s attempt to control them, and joins a livestreamed variety show. His martial skills make him a sensation, and the arc ends as the guests settle into the mountain villa and learn the show’s tight budget rules.
Xia Zhiyi and the other guests adapted to village life while a venomous snake incident brought scrutiny to Zhou Kai and drew Fu Chi to the filming site. After Zhou Kai withdrew, the remaining guests prepared for a birthday-gift task, and Xia Zhiyi caught a thief during their trip to town.
Xia Zhiyi helped the village, drew attention for his woodworking, and led the guests into a charity auction. The arc ended with Fu Chi revealing his face-blindness and asking Xia Zhiyi to help him investigate, while coming in person to sign him.
Xia Zhiyi’s carved stools became the focus of the charity auction, and he signed a Tier A contract with Tianhuan. He invited Fu Chi to the show, where the guests welcomed new visitors and Xia Zhiyi treated Seventh Uncle’s dislocation after a rainy-day accident.
After rescuing Xia Zhen and bringing her into his family, Xia Zhiyi returned to the Imperial Capital, began university, and drew attention for his abilities. As he settled into student and entertainment work, he was asked to evaluate a group of bodyguard trainees.
Xia Zhiyi began dating Fu Chi while continuing his martial arts teaching and considering an acting role. After testing how Fu Chi’s vision changed when they kissed, Xia Zhiyi returned to campus, where he confronted Wang Su and showed Teng Si'an evidence against him.
Xia Zhiyi dealt with campus rumors and a dangerous mishap on set while growing closer to Fu Chi and securing the role of Yan Yan. The arc left him preparing to meet Fu Yunyi as Zhou Kai turned his attention toward him.
Xia Zhiyi finished filming, settled the Song family’s fate, and made his relationship with Fu Chi public. After the two spent their first night together, Fu Chi accompanied Xia Zhiyi to class, where Xia introduced him as his boyfriend.
Xia Zhiyi rejects the Song family inheritance and protects Xia Wanyi and Xia Zhen from being pulled into the family’s schemes. While filming a Jianghu music video and weathering dating rumors with Xu Zixu, he returns to the Imperial Capital and learns Fu Yunyi has attacked Miki.
After Fu Chi was badly injured in a car crash, Xia Zhiyi stayed by him as he recovered and learned that Fu Chi had regained his sight. Their relationship deepened with a marriage proposal, while Xia Zhiyi weighed new entertainment and game opportunities and continued to suspect the Power of the Plot.
While Fu Chi recovered and investigated trouble at Hangu Group, Xia Zhiyi confronted the Power of the Plot by helping Gu Miaomiao and securing official protection for Xia Wanyi and Xia Zhen. He left the stretch preparing for new entertainment commitments and bringing Xia Wanyi and Xia Zhen to stay with him.
As Xia Zhiyi’s plan weakened the Power of the Plot, he shielded Gu Miaomiao from danger and helped build a case against Huanyu. The stretch ended with Huanyu in turmoil and Xia Zhiyi ready to intensify the pressure.
After Huanyu collapsed and the Power of the Plot released Xia Zhiyi, he returned to acting and joined Boy Band as a martial arts mentor. He proposed to Fu Chi, and the show began with the contestants training and preparing their first performances.
