Is the Ice God a Romantic Transformed Soul Beast? A Dying Hundred-Thousand-Year Ice Spirit Dragon
However, when the Ice God heard Luo Zixi's words, he first froze, then his deeply displeased voice rang out directly from within the hall.
"Why are you so stubborn, kid? This is a godhood—and a first-class godhood at that! It may not compare to that old Sea God bastard's, but it's still among the very best of the first-class godhoods!"
"I advise you to know what's good for you, kid. Don't force me to shove this godhood down your throat!"
The Ice God's words carried the clear implication of, If you don't agree, I'll stick to you like glue. Luo Zixi was dumbfounded after hearing him. What the hell, was this guy actually an idiot?
Good heavens, just good heavens. As the saying went, some died of drought while others drowned in the flood.
But the truth was that he simply had no interest in godhoods at all!
And now what? The God of Life in one hand, the Ice God in the other—did they take him for some kind of ***? Just stuffing anything and everything into his body!
After hearing that voice, Hu Liena and Snow Empress actually exchanged a rare glance.
In fact, Hu Liena had only learned during Luo Zixi and Snow Empress's conversation yesterday that he already possessed a divine inheritance. After finding out, her thoughts had become far more unsettled.
Thinking back to his confrontation with Chrysanthemum Elder, a Titled Douluo, as well as his calm composure when facing that nearly four-hundred-thousand-year-old ferocious beast, she knew that she and he were fundamentally different kinds of people.
She had once been hailed as the foremost of Spirit Hall's Golden Generation, as well as the current Pope's personal disciple. Yet compared to him, this genius in the eyes of the world was still as far beneath him as clouds from mud.
Listening to the Ice God's seemingly threatening words, Luo Zixi directly called for backup in his Sea of Consciousness.
"Hey, hey! Old lady—no, big sis, get out here and handle this! If you don't come out soon, someone's going to snatch away your inheritor!"
Luo Zixi continuously pounded on the vessel of inheritance that the Goddess of Life had left within his Sea of Consciousness.
Elsewhere, in the God Realm, within the Life God Temple, in the Goddess of Life's bedroom.
"Ahh~~ mm~"
"Who is calling for this goddess?"
The Goddess of Life rubbed her still sleepy eyes. She had only just gone to sleep not long ago. Everyone had morning grumpiness, let alone a goddess.
"Hm? Is it that handsome little Luo Zixi? Fine, this goddess will go down and see what exactly is going on. If it turns out to be nothing, I won't be polite."
Douluo Continent, Far North, core region, deep within Unfrozen Lake, Extreme Ice Temple.
"Kid, have you made up your mind? Do you want me to be rough, or do you want me to be gentle?"
The Ice God did not seem anxious at all, as though he had Luo Zixi completely figured out.
Hu Liena's eyes were filled with envy.
After all, this was a godhood. So long as one passed a god's trials, one could become a great god.
"Old bastard, if you know what's good for you, send us out now. Otherwise, once my big sis gets here and beats you up, it'll be too late for everything."
Luo Zixi was not anxious either. I'm waiting for my saintly big sis. What the hell are you waiting for?
"Hahaha!! Your big sis? Let me tell you, even if you bury me in the ground today and chop off my head to use as a ball, you still have to accept my godhood inheritance!"
The Ice God seemed amused by Luo Zixi's words and actually began laughing without any regard for his image.
When Snow Empress heard his voice, her exquisitely delicate face, fairer than snow, could not help but darken. Even after dying, he was still exactly the same as he had been tens of thousands of years ago.
However, Snow Empress was also curious about which deity in the God Realm Luo Zixi's so-called big sister was. After all, first-class gods in the God Realm were—
Boom!
Before the Ice God could finish laughing, an emerald-green phantom descended directly upon the Far North.
Ice Empress, who was above eating fruit and teasing a bear, was startled by the sight. Before she could come back to her senses, however, she discovered that the phantom had actually plunged into Unfrozen Lake.
"Hmph! Good thing you ran fast, or this Empress would've... forget it."
Ice Empress pouted, grabbed the large ear of the white ice bear beside her—which was dozens of times larger than her—and hurried away from the area.
"Awoo."
The ice bear seemed to want to say something, but Ice Empress's fair little hand did not loosen its grip.
"That's Lord Ice God's territory. It'll be fine."
Two and a half minutes later, inside the Extreme Ice Temple.
A remnant soul in the form of an ice-blue middle-aged man lay in the center of the hall, while another stunning emerald-green phantom wielded an emerald-green scepter and repeatedly brought it down on him.
"Big sis! I was wrong, big sis! I didn't know he was your inheritor! I-I... Aah!"
After another flurry of strikes, the stunning emerald-green figure finally seemed to vent her anger. The ice-blue phantom of the middle-aged man had now lost the light in his eyes.
"Before taking human form, you flirted with innocent Soul Beasts. After taking human form, you still flirted with innocent Soul Beasts! We in the God Realm couldn't be bothered to interfere with your romantic escapades in the lower realm, but after arriving in the God Realm, you still dared to flirt with innocent divine beasts!"
"If this god had not considered how difficult it was for you to cultivate into a god after taking human form, did you really think that after the divine beast riot caused by you, my colleagues would have kindly allowed you to leave behind a strand of divine consciousness in this world?"
That was right. This emerald-green phantom was an incarnation of the Goddess of Life. However, she seemed to have just revealed something rather shocking.
After hearing the Goddess of Life's words, Luo Zixi, Hu Liena, Snow Empress, and Xiao Wu all had nothing but confusion and helplessness in their eight pupils.
Wait, was this really something they could listen to without paying!?
"Ahem, big sis, look..."
The Ice God's remnant soul jerked his chin toward Luo Zixi, but the Goddess of Life did not indulge him in the slightest.
Bang! With one swing of her scepter, she sent him flying.
"I was already annoyed enough at being woken up, and then I had to see such an upsetting thing as you."
After saying that, she glanced back at Luo Zixi, slowly drifting before him and sizing him up from head to toe in midair.
"Tsk, you're quite handsome, but you're still too weak. Big sister will leave this bit of power with you."
After teasing Luo Zixi, her inheritor, she turned her gaze to Hu Liena, amusement lingering in her eyes.
"Your talent is fairly good, but you're still short of the standard for inheriting a divine trial. You'd be suitable enough as a bedwarming servant for my inheritor."
The Goddess of Life's phantom playfully passed through Hu Liena's body, then transformed directly into specks of light that merged into Luo Zixi's body.
At that moment, Hu Liena only felt that the circulation of her Soul Power seemed to have sped up slightly.
As the Goddess of Life's phantom departed, Luo Zixi looked back at the Ice God, whose face was covered in wounds, and let out a sigh.
It was not just him; Xiao Wu and the others were the same. Even the Snow Empress was no exception.
Moreover, the deep helplessness in the Snow Empress's eyes was plain to see.
After all, having ended up with such a flirtatious god whose sexual orientation and mental state were both far from normal, the Snow Empress had truly suffered eight lifetimes' worth of bad luck.
But just as the Snow Empress was about to lead them away, the Ice God shamelessly spoke up again.
"Little brother, I see you're lacking a Soul Ring. I have a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring here. Do you want it?"
The Ice God's voice carried a trace of hesitation as he said this. Upon hearing him, Luo Zixi stopped in his tracks and looked back at the Ice God's phantom.
"For free?"
"Mm! For free!"
Seeing the other party being so proactive, Luo Zixi could not shake the feeling that something was off. But soon, an utterly absurd thought suddenly came to him.
"Was it once your child? And is it on the verge of death?"
Upon hearing Luo Zixi's words, the Ice God's phantom could not help but blush in embarrassment.
"Cough, cough, listen to yourself. But she is my great-great-great-great-granddaughter. Don't worry, though. Although she isn't in very good condition right now, she's an Ice Spirit Dragon with pure true dragon bloodline!"
In the original setting, the Ice God had already died, and he had even produced the Titan Snow Demon lineage with the Titan Clan.
As for why that was not the case, you'll have to see my fan-made setting.
Please watch the VCR! Ice God fan-made setting:
The Ice God died one hundred and fifty thousand years ago. His original form was a Berserk Ice Ape that had cultivated for one hundred and ninety thousand years before taking human form. He was extraordinarily lustful, but he was only interested in enormous female Soul Beasts.
Even after taking human form, he still had no interest in human women. Instead, he produced the present Titan Snow Demon lineage of the Far North with the Giant Demon Titan Clan, which had not yet gone extinct on the continent at the time.
After becoming a god through the faith of every race in the Far North, he encountered the Snow Empress, a spirit of ice and snow who had only just been born into the world. After nurturing her into the High Priest of the Extreme Ice Temple, he ascended.
After ascending to the God Realm, he still refused to change. He set his lustful sights on the female divine beasts remaining in the God Realm at the time, triggering a collective riot among the divine beast races. In the thirtieth year after becoming a god, he was ultimately beheaded by the Asura God in exasperation. The Goddess of Life later took pity on him and left a wisp of his remnant soul in the mortal world to seek out an inheritor.
(This is entirely a secondary setting for this book and has nothing whatsoever to do with Third Young Master's original Douluo.)
