Background / History

Xiao Wu initially shares a dormitory with Luo Zixi at Notting Academy. Their early relationship is marked by bickering, her jealousy and possessiveness, and Luo Zixi's protection of her. When Tang San accuses Luo Zixi of acting improperly toward her, Xiao Wu openly defends Luo Zixi and insists on deciding for herself whom she accepts help from. 5 6 8

Her identity as a transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beast makes her a target for Tang Hao, who pursues her for her Soul Bone. While fleeing with Luo Zixi, Xiao Wu learns that he knows her true nature; the two are eventually cornered. 14

To save Luo Zixi from Tang Hao, Xiao Wu sacrifices herself, transferring her cultivation and Soul Ring to him. Luo Zixi later preserves her soul within the Illusory Spirit Immortal Marsh, though he initially cannot restore her sacrificed body. 15 16

After Luo Zixi returns to the Douluo Continent, Xiao Wu awakens as his Soul Spirit and helps him locate powerful soul beasts in the Star Dou Great Forest. She later accompanies him in the forest and during confrontations with enemies. 21 22 25

Xiao Wu eventually reunites with Da Ming and Er Ming at the Lake of Life. She is affectionate toward Luo Zixi while remaining deeply concerned for her brothers, who initially resist his presence before yielding after A Yin intervenes. 103
