Christmas gifts

Lorne had actually prepared Christmas gifts for all the professors long ago, but Hogwarts was a large and wealthy institution, and he couldn't just let himself spend money for nothing.

A few days ago, Lorne bought a bottle of Enhanced Felix Felicis Felix Felicis the system's rare items section. He planned to divide the bottle into several small cups and give them to the professors of various major courses, calling it the concentrated version, thinking that no one would refuse.

The concoction of Felix Felicis is extremely complicated, and the success rate is incredibly low. Even Potions Master Snape only had a few bottles in stock. I received three bottles of Felix Felicis from Snape last time, but he used them up long ago to update the game, focusing on the storyline and gameplay.

Putting everything else aside, taking too much Felix Felicis really can cause headaches.

For some professors with specific preferences, Lorne prepared personalized gifts.

Dumbledore was naturally the complete set of Honeydukes ' new sweets. He hadn't yet delivered the ones he had promised Dumbledore last time, so this was a perfect opportunity to use them in two ways and balance the books.

The gift he gave Filch was a pet outfit he bought while making employee uniforms; Lorne never imagined that such a thing would exist in the Muggle world in the twentieth century.

Professor Trelawney will receive a glass bottle, a very nice design, and Lorne thinks she should have a container to store her jewelry and gems.

Needless to say, Lupin's half-portion of Permanent Wolfsbane Potion was definitely the most expensive gift he ever gave.

Lorne also prepared gifts for Hagrid and other faculty members who were not present.

The situation at the Magic Mobile Phone shop is much easier to handle; it's simply a matter of Galleon and Magic Mobile Phone- related products. This year, Lorne specifically asked Quirrell to try incorporating Christmas elements into the Magic Mobile Phone to see if it could boost demand.

As for the students, Lorne naturally treated them fairly and didn't give any gifts.

There are exceptions, such as Draco, who can get Ella skin designed and signed by Firenze himself.

The game also has holiday event updates during Christmas. Actually, Lorne is busiest during summer vacation. He has time to study the game's content and gameplay while at school. Since the Halloween event update, he has accumulated a lot of ideas and put them into practice, just waiting for tonight's update.

These include the image upload function in the Cuckoo Messaging, the skin update for Wizard Legend, the debut of the new Giant character in Street Wizard Fighter, and the first server-wide large-scale PvE event boss challenge for Suitcase Beasts.

" Director Lorne," Harry hesitated before speaking, "How about we split up and look for Professor Lupin? Just tell me where he is."

Although Director Lorne had been very helpful, he was, after all, a teacher at the school, Harry felt it was best not to let Director Lorne know what he needed to hand over to Professor Lupin or what he needed to ask.

Lorne didn't care about the children's concerns. He said nonchalantly, "It's okay, I'm just going to deliver a Christmas present and then I'll leave. You can chat with him as much as you like after I'm gone."

Harry blushed and said awkwardly, "That's not what I meant..."

Lorne, however, didn't seem to mind. He waved his hand dismissively, saying, "You're not my House-elf, Harry. You don't have to obey me or ask for my permission for everything."

Lupin was still very weak. As he sat up in bed, he saw Lorne push the door open and enter without permission.

Compared to the other professors' offices, Lupin's office was more like a refugee camp. When Harry entered, he thought he had returned to his room at Vernon's house, which was completely empty.

Lupin rubbed his head. " Lorne, you shouldn't have come in at this time. Didn't Dumbledore tell you... Oh, why did you bring Harry along?"

"I've come to give you a Christmas present." Lorne and Harry said in unison, but Harry's tone was more sincere, while Lorne's was less so.

"But I didn't prepare any gifts for you," Lupin said, getting out of bed and pouring himself a glass of hot water. "If you want to take them back now, it's not too late."

Harry hesitated for a long time before finally taking out the Marauder's Map in front of Lorne, but he said vaguely, "I'm giving you a map, Professor, a map of Hogwarts."

Lupin had just transformed into Werewolf, and his head was still throbbing, but he still put on a happy face. "Oh, you found it, thank you, Harry, I'm so happy."

Lorne recognized it as the Marauder's Map, and he was surprised that Lupin actually retrieved Marauder's Map for him. People who actually get things done like that deserve a good reward.

"This is my Christmas present for you, Lupin," Lorne said haughtily, feigning nonchalance while keeping a close eye on Lupin, waiting for his ecstatic reaction. "A unique Wolfsbane Potion that will prevent you from ever becoming Werewolf again."

" Lorne! Harry's still here, you can't say these things," Lupin said belatedly, glancing at the Potions, which was clearly a size smaller than the Wolfsbane Potion he'd drunk. "Besides, I just drank it yesterday, I don't need it now—wait!"

Lupin's pupils dilated suddenly. He stared at Lorne for a long time, speechless, his lips trembling as he murmured, "God, I hope I didn't mishear. You just said... forever?"

Lorne feigned nonchalance. "You said you could still take it back, and coincidentally, I was just about to change my mind—"

"No, no, no!" Lupin interrupted immediately, rushing forward to pick up the small bottle of Potions from the table. He looked surprised. "I've never heard of such Potions before, Lorne. Are you sure you're not kidding me?"

Lorne finally regained his composure. "Don't you know? Some students have asked the General Affairs Office to address your frequent absences and Professor Snape's ruthless substitution of their classes, while the General Affairs Office is always pragmatic."

Harry was speechless; he felt somewhat out of place there.

"Wait a minute, Professor Lupin is Werewolf?" Harry realized belatedly.

"You didn't know?" Lorne shrugged. "I thought Snape had ' Lupin is Werewolf ' written all over his face."

Harry then remembered Professor Snape's ramblings in Defence Against Dark Magic Class, and how he always brought up Werewolf and Lupin no matter what he was talking about.

"But Professor Lupin won't be that soon," Lorne said, looking at Lupin. "You won't blame me for revealing your identity, will you?"

Lupin uncorked the bottle and downed it in one gulp. He wiped his mouth, raised an eyebrow, glanced at Harry, and joked, "What nonsense are you talking about? I've never been Werewolf."

The two exchanged a smile. Lupin let out a long sigh and leaned against the table. He glanced at his watch; it wasn't even three in the afternoon. Time had flown by so quickly. He even felt a little nostalgic for the feeling of becoming Werewolf yesterday.

Yeah, right.

Goodbye, cage.

"I think I need to properly evaluate Hogwarts's staff system," Lupin's usually affable expression suddenly relaxed, and Harry could see a hint of fatigue in it, but even more so, delight. "Perhaps the General Affairs Office should be located on the sixth floor of the main castle."

Lorne waved casually, declining Lupin's compliment. " Harry has something important to discuss with you, I'll be going now."

Harry: "..."

Compared to Director Lorne, his own affairs seemed insignificant.
