Lorne obtained a treasure.
That day, though it was just a fleeting glimpse, Lorne's troubled and depressed mind, which had been filled with deep thought, was suddenly uplifted.
Surprisingly, a magical item appeared in the system's rare item section—an upgraded version of the renowned Pensieve, the Pensieve Vat.
Putting aside the functionality, it has definitely become larger.
He immediately decided to buy it, without even glancing at its features, and started looking at the instructions for using the Pensieve Vat.
[ Pensieve Vat: My memories can't fit in one jar. The Pensieve Vat can link to a wizard, allowing the linked person to select a memory that is clearly reflected in the jar. This memory has no size or time limit; even a memory from just one second ago can be accessed at any time.]
Lorne's mouth formed an "O" shape; wasn't this a perfect two-in-one prop?
It can serve as a tool for restoring one's memories, and can also be used as evidence to exonerate Sirius when necessary. Furthermore, it can be used as a live broadcast for watching games in subsequent business plans.
Lorne's thoughts immediately became clear.
He even had plans for the land next to the bank. He intended to build a theme park there, plastering it with all the elements from the games, setting up sections for each of the three games, and adding in the entertainment activities he had previously conducted at Hogwarts. He didn't believe any wizard could refuse.
However, that's all for the future. Lorne is just thinking about it now. To make a complete arrangement, he'll have to wait until the winter or summer break of the next semester. After all, he hasn't even connected to the Floo Powder network yet, so even if he builds the venue, no one will be able to go.
The current level of self-sufficiency in manufacturing Magic Mobile Phone has exceeded his expectations. One-third of the seventh-grade students can now independently complete the inscription of Magic Power Matrix. Lorne decided to distribute recruitment flyers widely, poaching talent from the Ministry of Magic with generous salaries.
Sirius's classes have achieved remarkable results, but hidden dangers still exist. Lorne did not deliberately conceal the leakage of textbooks, and even allowed them to take the materials back to Hogwarts for self-study. This meant that the method of creating the Magic Power Matrix would inevitably be leaked sooner or later, and if Lucius and other Pure-blood found out, it would inevitably lead to another bloody storm.
Fortunately, he had already had Augusta register the trademark and intellectual property rights for his Magic Mobile Phone, so if anyone tried to copy it, he would definitely fight a spectacular magic lawsuit.
This weekend is the last Hogsmeade Week of the term. Harry and Ron dream about how they'll shine in the Magic Mobile Phone Shop and go to sleep with smiles on their faces.
In the middle of the night, Ron groggily got up. Struggling to get out of bed to use the toilet, he couldn't help but complain to Old Man Scabbers by the bedside, " Scabbers, why do people always need to go to the toilet— Scabbers?!"
Through the blurry vision, the cage door where Scabbers was imprisoned was wide open, and the gray-brown rat that should have been lying in the cage had long since disappeared.
" Scabbers! My Scabbers!" Ron panicked and immediately shook Harry, who was sleeping beside him. "Wake up, Harry, my Scabbers is gone!"
Harry sat up sleepily, fumbling for his glasses. "You're not mistaken, Ron, how could Scabbers have escaped his cage?"
"It's true, Harry," Ron said, pulling Harry to Scabbers ' cage. "I saw Scabbers seemed a bit better before I went to bed today. It drank some water and ate something. I thought its fracture should be healed, so I took off its restraints. When I woke up last night, it was gone."
"Is it possible that Scabbers is out?" Harry asked hesitantly. "Wasn't it often not around you before?"
"But it has never escaped from its cage!" Ron said anxiously, his voice low. He even lay down and looked under the bed. Harry immediately handed him his Lumos wand.
Just as the two were at their wits' end, they suddenly saw a flat face, like a frying pan, outside the window.
"It's Crookshanks!"
"It must be it," Ron gritted his teeth. "It must have kidnapped Scabbers! We have to go after it, Harry, I have to get Scabbers out of its jaws."
"We don't have any evidence yet— Ron!" Harry wanted to say something more, but Ron had already rushed out the door.
Harry glanced at the clock on the wall; it was already past midnight, well past curfew. But Ron never checked the time when he went out with him, so he couldn't afford to be hesitant.
With a sigh, Harry grabbed a piece of clothing, draped it over himself, and rushed out.
"Wait for me, Ron!"
The two searched the castle, but Crookshanks was a cat that didn't meow much, so they could only grope around by following the blurry figures in their sight.
"Did you hear anything?" Ron suddenly asked.
Harry felt a chill run down his spine too, and he shrank back. "It sounds like Crookshanks footsteps."
A sudden, icy touch came from his neck, a chill that instantly reminded Harry of Dementor. His hair stood on end, and as he drew his wand to turn around, he heard a deep, familiar voice behind him.
"Looks like our little Seeker is working hard. What, is he looking for the lost Golden Snitch?"
The sudden sound startled Ron, who screamed and backed away, immediately earning him a merciless rebuke from Snape: " Quiet, Weasley! You know what? If these portraits could get their hands out of the frames, they'd strangle you both!"
" Professor Snape," Ron explained, his neck stiff, "My mouse has been snatched by the cat, and I can't watch a life that trusted me die in vain."
"Very good, for your sense of justice, deduct twenty points," Snape shoved Harry hard, making them stand together. "It was your dereliction of duty not to keep an eye on the rat. Perhaps you should learn how to be responsible for others. Think about it, that rat was thinking about how his little master could save him before he died... But unfortunately, his little master is going to be locked up in solitary confinement all night."
Ron retorted in surprise, "You can't—"
"Of course I can," Snape interrupted. "Not only that, you've also won the right to stay in Hogsmeade for one last week. Maybe there will be some promotions or parties there, but that's none of your business. Now, come with me, you have a whole night of gall to peel."
Snape flicked his cloak and began to move silently again. Harry and Ron exchanged a glance, both seeing bitterness in each other's eyes. They sighed and followed him.
The next day, when Hermione, unaware of what had happened, greeted the two, she received a glare from Ron had dark circles under his eyes.
"It's all because of your cat, Hermione. My Scabbers is gone, and we're no longer Hogsmeade!"
Hermione retorted, "Did you see Crookshanks carry away your Scabbers with your own eyes?"
Ron retorted confidently, "Your cat just happened to be outside the window when Scabbers disappeared."
"Would you doubt a professor if he flew there?" Hermione argued. "You should go back to your second year and redo the Chamber of Secrets, Ron."
Ron blushed and said, "That's not the same. Everyone knows cats eat mice. You knew my pet was a mouse, but you still insisted on buying a cat."
"Just a reminder, owls eat mice too," Hermione slammed her textbook on the table. "Besides, owls and cats are both pets allowed in school. I think the school has fully considered their food chain relationship. It's you, your mouse, who's breaking the rules."
"You're the most principled, fine!" Ron stormed off.
