Lucius has been having a bit of a headache lately.
The internal conflicts among Pure-blood and the political struggles within the Ministry of Magic kept him busy, and the letters and envelopes on his desk piled up like a small mountain.
He searched inside for an incomplete letter sealed with alkali; it was a letter his son had written to him.
Whenever he had a headache, he would abandon all formal and pretentious letters and read a family letter that began with "Father, I have something to say to you."
After finding it, Lucius eagerly opened it. The familiar handwriting and wording at the beginning eased his stern expression slightly, but the contents of the letter made him frown again.
"Father, I have to tell you, the school has recently stopped having classes and switched to Chamber of Secrets activities. I even played Slytherin in one of them. In the Fun Chamber of Secrets, a professor taught us how to discern the truth. After we came out of the Truth Chamber of Secrets, the whole school is now searching for who framed Filch's cat."
"They used to doubt that I was Heir of Slytherin, but now they're all apologizing to me. I only accepted apologies from the Half-blood; I ignored all the Muggle-born..."
Lucius grew increasingly alarmed. If the monster in the Chamber of Secrets was still alive, Dumbledore would not have disregarded the students' safety by holding such a large, dispersed event at the school.
Could it be that his diary was found during the search?
The Weasley family are all good-for-nothings.
He couldn't just sit idly by. Even if no students got into trouble, he could use this opportunity to put pressure on Dumbledore —he needed to contact both the Board of Governors and the Ministry of Magic.
Not only Dumbledore, but the rumors from the Chamber of Secrets can still be used to incite public opinion and get Hagrid, Dumbledore's staunch supporters, imprisoned.
If Hagrid's guilt can be proven, then even if the diary is discovered, no one will suspect him.
Lucius immediately began writing. He neatly folded the letter Draco had sent him and placed it in the first drawer on his left, where a Magic Mobile Phone that had been off for a long time still sat Quiet.
Inside Hogwarts, the second Truth Chamber of Secrets — Hagrid's Hut— was also discovered.
Lockhart's classroom became even more lively.
Harry and his friends arrived early and took up a table. He spread a huge parchment on the table, which was covered with the three of their notes.
"There are still many suspicious points," Hermione summarized and reviewed. " Hagrid bought the Acromantula from the Mysterious Merchant, and many people can testify that the Acromantula they saw was initially quite small. Chamber of Secrets has been passed down for thousands of years, so the Acromantula is not a monster from the Chamber of Secrets. Conversely, Hagrid is not the murderer of Moaning Myrtle."
Harry pulled out his new discovery. "This is a photo Colin posted this morning. He took it instinctively because he saw me. Look here, there's a row of small Acromantula moving in the photo. If the monster isn't Acromantula, then it must be something the Acromantula like or fear, otherwise there's no reason for them to be here."
"It's Basilisk, isn't it?" Ron stroked his chin. "Isn't Slytherin a snake totem?"
"I also think that's possible," Hermione nodded, looking at Ron with agreement. "In the second Truth Chamber of Secrets — Hagrid's Hut —several of Hagrid's chickens were found dead. It's very likely that someone killed them to make it easier for the Basilisk to move around."
Harry continued scribbling on the huge parchment, slumped over the table, his voice muffled. "I think we need to investigate another place."
"Where?"
"The deceased is Moaning Myrtle," Harry said, glancing at Ron and Hermione. "Why don't we investigate her?"
Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom, where the faucet used to have a silver snake pattern printed on it, has now been replaced by a keyhole by Lorne.
When Harry, Meyer, and I arrived at the place, they learned from Moaning Myrtle that the monster had a pair of terrifying yellow eyes.
"Then it shouldn't be Acromantula either," Ron, trembling, "Because they have four pairs of eyes."
Hermione was getting annoyed by Moaning Myrtle's crying, so she went out of the bathroom and came to the sink. Suddenly, she noticed that there was a keyhole on the side of one of the sink faucets.
"Come quick, Harry!" Hermione shouted excitedly, "There's a keyhole here, like—"
"The other two Truth Chamber of Secrets are the same!" Harry and Ron exclaimed in unison.
For the first two Chamber of Secrets, they followed the main group, often only able to enter the next day after queuing up. Although information could be shared openly in the classroom, very important content was usually circulated within small groups first—the points for the Truth Chamber of Secrets were given out in a single, large amount, and everyone wanted to be the first to get them.
Moreover, the flow of information does not mean that everyone's reasoning is the same. Director Lorne is more like hiding the riddles in various parts of the school, and the final competition is to see who can solve the final answer first.
The three of them searched together, and Harry and Ron, not caring about their appearance, both went into the women's restroom.
Half an hour later, they finally found the key above the statue surrounded by eight water taps.
"This time it's finally our turn to be the first!"
The three were startled by the sight before them upon entering: eight snake-head statues stood in the pristine, tranquil white space, with a calm, deep pool at the end of the long platform.
Hermione immediately pulled out her phone and opened the Senior's Help: "Senior, senior, where do Basilisk usually live?"
The Senior's Help quickly provided the answer: a quiet, cool place with water.
"Is that even a question?" Ron pointed at the snake-head statue. "Look at these snake heads, do you think a lion could possibly live in this water?"
"Damn Slytherin!" Ron was still indignant. "They actually built a place like this in the school! Wait, what about the Basilisk? Could it be in the water? Maybe we should go back and get help."
"Calm down, Ron. If the professors made this Chamber of Secrets, it must be safe," Harry advised, stroking his chin as he concluded, "It seems the truth will soon be revealed. The Basilisk meets all the criteria for a monster: it can kill, petrify, is feared by spiders, and has yellow eyes..."
Soon, news of the discovery of the third Truth Chamber of Secrets spread throughout the entire campus.
Harry, Neville, and the others returned to the classroom and quickly organized the information, but just when the truth was about to be proven, Neville suddenly showed up at the door.
" Harry, you need to go quickly! The Ministry of Magic is taking Hagrid away. You were the first to enter the third Chamber of Secrets; there must be other evidence there."
Hagrid's Hut was completely blocked by students.
The current Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, stood at the front. His obese figure made him look both kind and comical. "Dear students, please don't worry, we're just taking Hagrid in for a questioning. If he's alright, we'll send him back."
Lucius, sitting to Fudge's left and behind, played the good cop. "Get out of the way, do you want to go to the Ministry of Magic's court for disobeying orders?"
Dumbledore stood beside the two men, doing nothing but stroking his beard, as if waiting for something.
You can't take Hagrid away!
Harry finally arrived, pulling out a crumpled piece of parchment covered in clues. "I've made a new discovery. The real monster that killed Moaning Myrtle wasn't the Acromantula, but the Basilisk."
"Nonsense! When did the Ministry of Magic become a place where you greenhorns can question it?" Lucius stepped forward. "Even if it wasn't the Acromantula, couldn't Hagrid have kept a Basilisk?"
"That's all your speculation, sir," Harry fearlessly, looking Lucius straight in the eye. "You can't convict Hagrid or take him away based on mere speculation."
Lucius's eyes narrowed to slits. "Are you going to make an enemy of the Ministry of Magic?"
"Justice will not yield to power, the truth will eventually prevail, and evil will not be dealt with lightly. Until Hagrid is fully convicted, he will always be my friend!"
Harry stepped forward, his wizard robes fluttering in the winter wind, and stood before everyone, staff in hand. "And I will not allow the enemy to take my friend."
