Hermione's cheeks were burning from all that commotion, making it impossible for her to concentrate on studying at the library. She was so embarrassed that she just wanted to hide back in the common room and put on her coat first.
But with the two of them sharing a school uniform, it was hard not to attract attention.
Just when I feared most, Ginny bumped right into me as I turned into the corridor near the Gryffindor Tower.
Hermione froze in fright, instinctively pulling her school uniform towards herself as if she wanted to hide her entire face.
With that tug, her side was completely covered up, leaving Draco's left half exposed, while she herself looked like a floating black-robed ghost.
Draco almost laughed as she pulled him.
Ginny looked up and was immediately stunned. Her eyes lit up like two little lights. The scene before her was just too exciting!
Her lips curled into a wide smile, showing no surprise whatsoever.
Instead, he had an expression that said, "I've finally caught them red-handed."
"--I didn't see anything!" Ginny shouted, making sure Hermione heard her.
After saying that, he turned to leave, but before he did, he gave Draco a thumbs-up.
Hermione was buried in her robes, so embarrassed she was practically steaming. Draco looked down at his girlfriend curled up in his arms and finally couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Stop laughing! It's all your fault! Ginny has a big mouth just like Hagrid; she'll definitely tell everyone about us when she gets back!"
Hermione pinched his arm, feeling both embarrassed and anxious.
"What's there to be afraid of? It's been a while since I fed them dog food, so today... consider it a belated payment," Draco laughed.
Hermione's face turned even redder. "Aren't you embarrassed enough already?!"
"Is it embarrassing? I don't think so!" Draco found the image amusing.
"I can already imagine Ron jumping up and yelling later—'You two have really come up with a new way to show off your love!'"
Hermione looked embarrassed again, burying her head even deeper into her robes. "Shut up! He'll start nagging again at dinner, you're really going to kill me..."
"Honey, I'm cold, please cover me with something..." Draco pleaded pitifully.
Hermione couldn't resist his coquettishness and turned her head away, ignoring him. "You can stay cold."
After saying that, she simply ripped off her robe, took over the entire area, and strode towards the Gryffindor Common Room.
Draco immediately followed, feigning a sigh, "Aren't you being too heartless? What if I catch a cold?"
"If you dare to catch a cold, I'll... force you to drink a ton of super bitter medicine, not a single drop left." Hermione didn't stop walking, turning back to glare at him.
Draco paused for a moment, then chuckled, "You win."
"Good to know." Hermione snorted.
Actually, Draco has Warming Charm, so he's not having any problems for now.
Hermione blushed slightly as she stepped into the common room and saw Ginny chatting with others. " Ginny Weasley —you big mouth!"
"I'm innocent! I didn't say anything!" Ginny cried out.
Hermione glanced around and saw that Lavender, Parvati, and the others' "we all understand" expressions made the answer crystal clear.
Lavender waved his hand, looking nonchalant. "Oh, it's just two people sharing a robe, no big deal. We've seen it all before."
"Exactly," Draco agreed.
Ron muttered, looking exasperated, "I can't control how couples show affection, just don't do it in front of me..."
Hermione's face instantly turned bright red, then she grabbed her coat and frantically darted towards the girls' stairwell, yelling, "I'm ignoring you guys!"
Hermione dashed up the girls' stairs, her skirt swaying slightly in a flustered manner, until she turned the corner and disappeared from sight, at which point the long-suppressed laughter erupted in the lounge.
"I knew she'd be shy!" Ginny laughed, slapping the sofa.
Lavender shrugged. "I'm speechless. We've been together for so long, and it's like it's the first time we've been teased like this."
"All I can see now is the two of them wrapped in one robe. I'm going to have nightmares tonight." Ron slumped into his chair, looking utterly hopeless.
Draco walked over and sat down on the sofa, showing absolutely no embarrassment. "Isn't it better to be a little shy?"
As he spoke, his gaze gently swept towards the direction of the girls' staircase. He knew that Hermione was probably lying on her bed right now, her face buried in the pillow, burning hot.
"You're not shy at all. You were all wrapped up so tightly in the hallway just now, as if you were afraid no one would notice, right?" Parvati teased.
"My girlfriend, what's wrong with me wearing a robe?" Draco said quite casually.
As soon as he said that, a chorus of jeers erupted around him.
George poked his head out from the stairwell and whistled, "Hey, Malfoy, that's direct! How about we get you two a private lounge next time?"
"Plus, Warming Charm!" Fred added.
"It's not impossible."
Draco's words were incredibly powerful.
The entire room fell silent for half a second, then erupted into even louder laughter.
It's obvious to everyone that Draco only shows boundless indulgence and favoritism when he's with Hermione.
A short while later, soft footsteps finally came from the girls' staircase.
As soon as Hermione came down, without saying a word, she threw the school robe, still warm from their time together, back at Draco.
Her cheeks were still flushed, and she didn't dare look at anyone.
Before anyone could make another joke, she grabbed Draco's wrist and pulled him out without a word, her steps quick and hurried, as if she were fleeing the scene of a crime.
Draco stumbled as she tugged at him, instinctively catching his robe. Looking down at his hand, which she was holding tightly, he couldn't help but smile.
A burst of laughter erupted in the lounge.
"Hey--where are you guys going?"
"Won't you sit a little longer?"
Hermione ignored her and didn't turn around, only continuing to pull him out.
She only breathed a slight sigh of relief after stepping out of the Gryffindor Tower and confirming that the group of onlookers behind her could no longer see her.
"So eager to be alone with me?" Draco pulled his robe back up.
"It's all your fault! If I stay any longer, I won't be able to study in peace today!" Hermione glared at him.
Draco, seeing her puffed-up, red-faced expression, grinned even more mischievously and deliberately slowed his pace. "What's the rush? They're not going to eat you."
Hermione paused, turned around, and looked at him with displeasure.
"Of course you don't care! Your skin is thicker than the stone walls of a castle!"
"I'm only shameless with you." Draco grabbed her hand.
Hermione was instantly rendered speechless by his words.
Her face flushed again, and she could only forcefully shake off his hand and walk towards the library. "Let's go! If I dawdle any longer, I really won't be able to finish my homework tonight!"
It's impossible not to finish your homework!
Draco followed, his gentle gaze falling on her slightly flushed cheeks.
The two walked silently down the corridor. The cold October wind blew in from the window, and Hermione instinctively shrank her shoulders.
