"Not dead yet?!" Draco somewhat surprised.

He then unleashed a soul-destroying technique he had redeemed from the system, enveloping the fragment of soul.

But then something terrifying happened.

The methods used to annihilate the soul only caused that dark red fragment to tremble violently, its light flickering intermittently.

It can never be completely eradicated!

"Could it be..." Draco stopped his futile attack, his brow furrowed, "That this guy still has a surviving Horcrux?"

He stopped trying to kill it and instead took out a specially made jar engraved with complex sealing runes from his pocket. He aimed the jar at the dark red fragment, and a powerful suction force came from it.

"No! Young Malfoy! I curse you!" Voldemort's soul screamed from the fragment, but he could not resist the power of the seal and was sucked into the crystal jar in a flash.

"I will be back!" With that final cry, Draco swiftly slammed the lid shut, and the runes on the jar lit up one by one, sealing Voldemort's soul fragments inside.

Shaking the jar, the dark red thing inside struggled left and right like a trapped beast, but couldn't break free of its restraints.

" Voldemort... isn't quite dead yet?" Hermione had been watching the whole process with bated breath until the fragments were sealed, but hearing Draco's words made her heart leap again.

"That's right, there might be one more thing we need to do."

Before Hermione could ask,

Suddenly, Peter Pettigrew's charred corpse twitched violently, and then with a "poof," it transformed into a gray mouse with charred fur and a bald tail!

It turns out he was just pretending to be dead, and finally found his chance while everyone's attention was on Voldemort!

Peter the mouse Peter his last bit of strength to kick hard with his hind legs, trying to squeeze into a narrow crack leading underground!

If he burrows underground, he will have a chance to escape!

"Trying to run?" Draco's eyes turned cold. With a thought, he pointed his wand lightly at the ground in front of Peter Mouse.

The ground seemed to come alive instantly; the hard earth began to undulate and rise like waves!

It precisely forms an upward fountain shape, appearing exactly in front of where Peter Mouse crawls in!

"Pfft!"

Peter the Mouse crashed headfirst into a suddenly rising, rubbery wave of earth. Instead of burrowing into it, he was violently thrown out by the upward force.

It tumbled through the air a few times before crashing back onto the scorched earth with a thud, disoriented and squealing pitifully.

Draco and Hermione stepped forward.

Peter the Mouse struggled to transform back into human form, looking even more disheveled, his silver hand completely ruined and hanging limply at his side.

He knelt on the ground, ignoring his burns and excruciating pain, and kowtowed desperately to Draco and Hermione, tears streaming down his face.

"Spare me! Young Master Malfoy! Spare me, Miss Granger! I was wrong! I really know I was wrong!"

"I was forced into it! It was all the Dark Lord's doing!"

"Please, spare my life!"

"I'm willing to do anything! I'm willing to testify against the Death Eaters! I'm willing to tell the Ministry of Magic everything I know!"

"Please don't kill me! Please don't kill me!"

Seeing Draco's expressionless face, his eyes as cold as ice, and his complete lack of reaction, Peter felt even colder and quickly turned to Hermione.

I think this Muggle witch is more compassionate, and she seems to have a close relationship with Malfoy, so maybe she can talk to him.

" Miss Granger! Intelligent, kind, and beautiful Miss Granger!" Peter pleaded in the most obsequious tone.

Trying to evoke Hermione's sympathy,

You are the wisest witch!

"You must understand, I had no choice at the time!"

"I'm cowardly, I'm weak, I didn't mean to!"

"For my sake... for my sake, I was once a friend of Harry's parents! Please, I beg you, put in a good word for me! Ask Young Master Malfoy to spare my life! I promise I'll turn over a new leaf!"

As he spoke, he reached for Hermione's robe with his good hand, his eyes filled with pleading.

Draco kicked him away.

Looking at this despicable, cowardly traitor who betrayed his friends, killed countless people, and now begged for his life like a lump of mud, Hermione felt no sympathy, only disgust and contempt.

"Shut up! Your pleas disgust me. Being forced into it or being a coward is no excuse for betraying your friends!"

"And it's certainly not an excuse for you to help Voldemort resurrect and prepare to drag the Wizarding World into danger once again!"

" Harry's parents died because of you, Sirius was imprisoned in Azkaban for over a decade, and countless people indirectly lost their lives because of you! Now that Voldemort is dead, you think you can just live a life of shame?"

Hermione grew more and more excited as she spoke, her chest heaving.

You want me to plead for you? Absolutely not!

"A person like you, to live is the greatest insult to justice and sacrifice. Your fate should be judged by the law, or..." She glanced at Draco beside her, whose eyes were cold, and didn't finish her sentence, but her meaning was clear.

If Draco were to take action, she would never stop him, and even believed that it was Peter Pettigrew's just desserts.

After hearing Hermione's words, Peter's face drained of all color, and his eyes were filled with despair.

Finally, he collapsed to the ground, like a real lump of mud, only unconscious trembling and sobbing remaining.

Looking at Peter Pettigrew on the ground, Draco's eyes showed no pity, only cold resolve.

The fact that this traitor is still alive is a threat, especially his Animagus form that can transform into a rat. Perhaps at some point in the future, he will become an accomplice in Voldemort's resurrection.

Other Death Eaters may be dealt with by the law or dealt with gradually, but this rat must die now.

Avada Kedavra.

Without a word, a condensed green light flashed, precisely ending Peter's lowly and sinful life.

After twitching once, Peter became completely still, his face frozen in fear and confusion.

Just as Peter breathed his last,

The jar containing the fragment of Voldemort's soul, which Draco was holding, suddenly shook violently!

The dark red fragment of soul inside the jar seemed to have been struck by some invisible force; its light dimmed considerably in an instant, and its struggles became extremely weak.

"This... could it be?!" Draco was shocked. An extremely absurd yet not entirely impossible conjecture rushed into his mind. He whispered, "This guy... could he have... made this rat into Horcrux too?!"

"A living Horcrux?" Hermione's eyes widened instantly upon hearing Draco's whisper. "Tear... tear the soul of a living person apart and seal it inside another living being?"

"This is too... too evil!"

Hermione had never imagined, and could never accept, that anyone would use living people, even a scoundrel like Peter Pettigrew, to create such an evil Dark Magic artifact.

This is simply the ultimate desecration of life and soul.
