"What's so embarrassing about it? Just cover yourself up completely, wear a hood and a mask, and nobody will recognize you."
Hermione offered her some advice.
"Oh, that's how you get caught~" Trillian couldn't hide the sly smile in her eyes. "Research shows that people actually plan out the entire process of doing something in their minds before they act, including dialogue, actions, and clothing. It seems that Hermione... you've really thought about this kind of thing seriously?"
"I didn't!" Hermione cried out, her face turning bright red. "I was just saying it offhand! Don't misunderstand me!"
Seeing Hermione's growing anxiety, Trillian stopped teasing her about it and instead began to discuss it seriously. "Even if you're completely covered up, it won't help. The shopkeeper and passersby will still look at you strangely and scrutinize you from head to toe."
"No way!" Hermione breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Trillian wasn't pressing her, and her tone regained some composure. "The boss has professional ethics; he wouldn't look twice. As for passersby, you're a thief; can't you avoid them?"
"That is indeed true..." Trillian nodded.
"I'm going to take a nap." Draco yawned as he listened to the two of them chatter about everything from the TV signal to adult product store shopping guides. "I'm going to take a nap. You two continue your conversation."
After saying that, he walked towards the bedroom. He couldn't get a word in edgewise about this topic, nor was he interested in it, since he didn't need that kind of thing anyway.
"Young Master, are there any plans for tonight?"
Trillian asked a question as he walked away.
Draco waved his hand without turning his head. "No action today. I'm in New York for vacation; the new Werewolf is just a side trip. I'm confident that once I get involved, I can take him down quickly."
"Indeed! Young Master, your strength is overwhelming!"
Trillian didn't think Draco was exaggerating.
After Draco entered the room, only Hermione and Trillian remained in the living room. Trillian took the initiative to reassure her, " Hermione, don't worry, I really won't lay a hand on the young master."
At least not now, Trillian thought to herself.
Hermione blushed again, realizing she'd been seen through, and let out a soft "oh." All her advice and suggestions had been just a ploy to get Trillian to satisfy her curiosity on her own.
Seeing her awkward expression, Trillian smiled mischievously and said, "By the way, how about I bring one back for you next time I go to that store? I'll give it to you secretly, no one will know."
Hearing this, Hermione's face flushed even more, and she hurriedly refused, "No, no need! I don't need that kind of thing! You can use it yourself..." After saying that, she was too embarrassed to stay in the living room and be teased any longer, so she simply turned around and quickly went back to her room.
Seeing her embarrassed expression, Trillian didn't tease her any further. She simply smiled, shrugged, and said in a casual tone, "Alright, I'll go look around by myself."
Only Trillian was left in the living room. She put away her joking expression, looked at the videotape in her hand, but had no interest in watching it. She simply stuffed it into the deepest part of the cabinet, completely hiding it away. After that, Trillian also went back to her guest room for a nap.
In the room, Draco was leaning against the pillows, holding the remote control, about to turn on the TV. Seeing Hermione enter, he casually asked, "Honey, aren't you two chatting anymore?"
Hermione sat down on the bed, her tone deliberately indifferent. "I'm not interested in that stuff, what's there to talk about?"
"Really? You two were discussing it for ages, even figuring out how to cover yourselves up and avoid being stared at by passersby—I thought you were quite interested."
Hermione's cheeks flushed bright red, and she quickly explained, "I was... giving her advice! It wasn't something I was thinking of for myself!"
"I see~" Draco looked at her eagerness to distance herself, but didn't expose her, and then prepared to turn on the TV.
Upon seeing this, He's nerves tensed instantly. He stood in front of the TV's infrared receiver and hurriedly said, "Don't turn it on!"
The television wouldn't turn on, Draco looked at her in confusion:
"What's wrong?"
Hermione didn't answer. Instead, she snatched the remote, strode to the TV, pressed the eject button, and checked for any videotapes. Only after confirming that it was empty did she breathe a sigh of relief.
It seemed the previous homeowner did indeed have a specific need for playing it in the living room, but she immediately realized what she was doing, her face flushing even more as she thought: Oh dear, why am I thinking about this...
She was feeling secretly embarrassed when Draco's laughter came from behind her, followed by his obvious realization. "I get it, Miss Granger is afraid of those two-person interaction scenes popping up again."
"No! I was just worried that weird commercials would pop up on the TV and ruin my afternoon nap!" Hermione said, turning back to lie down next to Draco. This time, she could turn on the TV.
A family drama was playing on the screen, and the heartwarming everyday scenes made her relax a little. Draco put his arm around her shoulder, and the two watched it quietly for a while.
But before long, Hermione couldn't resist switching channels. She switched to a talk show where the guests were having a lively discussion, but she switched again after a short while.
After switching channels several times, Hermione was still not satisfied. She muttered, "Forget it, I'll just watch the news. The pace is slow, the content is boring, perfect for inducing sleep, and suitable for a nap."
In the video, a blonde female reporter stands in front of an apartment building, reporting a serious news story—the headline reads, "Married man simultaneously involved with three women; wife and sister also implicated; relatives face off in court."
"What kind of shows are these?!" Hermione couldn't help but complain. "Why is it all about infidelity and family reunions?!"
"Where there's demand, there's a market. It seems that young people in North America really love these kinds of dramatic, messy storylines; otherwise, these kinds of shows wouldn't dominate all the major channels."
Hermione frowned, staring at the family reunion scene unfolding on the television screen. "They don't even consider the child's feelings; their sense of responsibility is far too weak..."
"It's alright," Draco said realistically. "It's already pretty good. At least the child was born safely and wasn't easily abandoned. Compared to those extreme outcomes, it's fortunate."
Hermione was speechless.
"And after the family reunion is successful, isn't there child support paid by the child's father?" Draco added.
"Does paying child support on time mean you can just shirk responsibility and walk away?" Hermione asked earnestly.
"This is all self-inflicted; it's a matter of mutual consent, regardless of gender, and it's a choice made by oneself. The worst thing is choosing the wrong person and then coming out to criticize and advise others not to step into the grave of love and marriage—that's the most terrifying thing."
"You're right. We can't let a few regrets negate all the good things." Hermione nodded in agreement. Those who lose trust in everyone because of one failed relationship and then use extreme opinions to influence others deserve to die even more.
