Killing werewolves was just incidental

Draco's sudden remark stunned Lucian and the other two; they had no idea what it meant.

In the awkward silence, Draco offered the most direct solution. "Since there's the precedent of Lucian and Sonja, why not be more straightforward? Find a like-minded vampire to mate with the Werewolf and solve the problem at its source."

These words highlighted the absurd and circuitous path the werewolf clan had taken for centuries. Trillian, standing nearby, instantly understood and nodded emphatically in agreement. "That's right! Since you two can produce Half-blood embryo, it means this path is viable. Why not just find another interracial couple willing to sacrifice themselves for peace?"

"Things are far more complicated than you think." Lucian shook his head, revealing the true crux of the problem that had remained unsolved for six hundred years.

"We've already tried it; the bloodline produced by combining a regular Werewolf and a vampire simply cannot survive."

" Sonja and I were able to conceive that child back then because it was an exception. She was an elder with pure blood, while I was the first Werewolf with reason. It was only by combining our genes that the Half-blood embryo could barely take root in the mother's womb."

Before the two could press for answers, Lucian continued, explaining the barriers to interspecies mating, "Regardless of whether the mother is Werewolf or a vampire, the embryo's cells will exhibit severe mutual repulsion."

"The ultimate result is either miscarriage or serious injury or even death for the mother, with a very high probability."

The implied information made Trillian's heart sink. "All these years, you wouldn't have forced vampires and Werewolf to mate for experiments, would you?"

"No," Lucian denied.

We have always emphasized the principle of voluntariness.

"Really?" Trillian wasn't entirely convinced.

"Most of them, after all, aren't that many voluntary."

"And what happens after the failure?" Trillian pressed on, her tone growing increasingly sharp. "Given the centuries-old blood feud between you werewolves and vampires, you wouldn't simply wipe out those defeated vampires to prevent future trouble, would you?"

Faced with this pointed question, Lucian remained calm and answered confidently, "No, after every failure, we ensure their safety and then secretly release them."

"Let them go safely? I doubt it." Trillian sneered, ruthlessly tearing down the facade:

"If you let them go, won't your whereabouts be exposed? Are you really willing to take such a potentially catastrophic risk for a failed experiment?"

Lucian was stumped.

Seeing his reaction, Trillian sighed:

"It seems that you werewolves are not entirely victims either. You are the weaker party when facing vampires; but when facing those experimental subjects—you show a completely different face."

Then, Trillian said with great regret, "If Sonja were still here, she certainly wouldn't want to see Werewolf and vampires suffer any more harm because of such absurd experiments."

These words struck at Lucian's deepest guilt and obsession, and he admitted his mistakes. "You're right. Over the years, I've used any means necessary to achieve my goals."

"Alright," Draco interrupted the somber self-analysis at the opportune moment. "No need for self-judgment. Merits and demerits don't cancel each other out, but we will still push for reconciliation between the two races."

Upon hearing this, the heavy weight on Lucian's heart lifted, and he thanked him in a deep voice, "Thank you, Mr. Malfoy."

As the atmosphere eased, Singe earnestly requested Draco, " Mr. Malfoy, may I see Michael?"

Upon hearing this, Trillian turned her head alertly and said irritably, "What, you still want to continue with your stupid experiment?"

"I've poured so much effort into this over the years, it's really hard to give up now."

Singe met her gaze calmly. "But don't worry, I won't force him to do anything. I just want to ask him his opinion in person and give him the choice."

Draco laughed dismissively upon hearing this.

"You really haven't given up on your wicked intentions."

"This is a lifelong pursuit for a scientist." Singe did not deny it, his eyes revealing his unwavering commitment to the truth.

"Alright then." Draco finally nodded.

Singe's shoulders relaxed, his eyes brightened again, and he sincerely thanked him, "Thank you, Mr. Malfoy."

Draco, along with Singe and Trillian, teleported back to the villa's front door and saw this scene: not far away, two men were stumbling and running towards them.

One was a man with slicked-back hair, and the other was a man with shoulder-length hair. Both of them were in a terrible state, their clothes were tattered, and bright red blood was seeping out from their wounds.

Not far behind the two, Selene led a squad of armed men in hot pursuit, with Baldy Black following behind her. Two men were on either side of Black, and several elite soldiers followed behind the three of them.

" Kraven!" Upon seeing the face of the middle-aged man rushing towards them, Singe uttered a name, her tone slightly surprised.

Kraven saw Singe and didn't stop walking:

" Singe?! Where is your leader?"

Singe shook his head. "The chief isn't here."

"They're not here?!" Kraven nearly had a mental breakdown. Seeing Singe there, he assumed Lucian had arrived too. He shouted urgently, "Then what are you all standing around for? Run!"

Trillian, as if watching a good show, teased:

"It's not like we're the ones being chased, why are we running?"

Hearing this, Kraven almost broke down again. Singe asked in surprise, "The truth has come out? So quickly?"

"It's all because of you useless Werewolf!" Kraven cursed angrily after glancing back. "I arranged everything perfectly for you, and you still let Amelia escape back! Luckily, I sensed something was wrong and ran fast, otherwise we'd be done for today..."

Upon hearing this, Draco understood: No wonder Lucian dared to ambush and assassinate Amelia, one of the three elders of the vampires; it turned out that there was an inside agent within the vampire camp.

In the pursuing group, a vampire reported to Selene, "Captain! There are Werewolf ahead. Should we take them out together?"

Before Selene could give the order,

A disheveled male vampire beside him, already pointing at Draco and his companions, casually said, "Let's kill them while we're at it."

"Don't attack those people!"

Selene immediately shouted at her to stop.

However, as Selene spoke, the male vampire with the fluffy hair pulled the trigger, and the bullet burst from the barrel, heading towards Draco and the others, but it disappeared as soon as it got close.

Trillian coldly snorted in displeasure:

"Young master, they want to take us out too."

Draco didn't respond to Trillian, but instead told Kraven and the slick-haired man who had run over, "You two stand behind us."

Kraven obeyed, and the moment he saw the bullet disappear, he knew this man was the wizard Selene had spoken of. The slick-haired man, naturally, chose to follow Kraven to the death.

Of course, there's also the reason he can't run anymore.

Selene led her group to a stop less than ten meters from Draco, and she politely discussed the matter with Draco:

"Could you hand the person over to us?"
