Sunlight—that was the vampire's greatest weakness since its birth, a boundary that no vampire could ever cross. But she didn't impulsively accept it; instead, she calmly asked, "Why give it to me? I no longer want to be involved in the conflict between our two races."
"I know." Alexander didn't say anything. "You don't need to do anything. As for whether you drink it or not, that's up to you."
Selene was silent for a moment,
In the end, he accepted the heavy bag of blood.
Trillian looked on with envy and immediately stepped forward, saying expectantly, "Ancestor, Ancestor! What about me! I also want immortality and great power! Could you give me a packet too?"
Alexander, as if he had been prepared, took out three more identical blood bags and gave them to the three men, then explained the implications:
"We do have blood bags, but you're not of the Corvinus Bloodline, nor are you Werewolf or vampire bloodline, so drinking them directly would be very risky. However, it's possible to first transform into a vampire or Werewolf and then modify your bloodline."
"Wow! Ancestor, you're so generous!" Trillian was overjoyed and grinned. "I didn't expect you to have even prepared our backup plan and the renovation plan in advance!"
Alexander, his expression unchanged, said, "This is a token of my gratitude and a gift to you for your repeated efforts in balancing conflicts, protecting the survival of both races, and silently contributing to my lineage."
Upon hearing this good news, Trillian quickly accepted the three blood bags, beaming from ear to ear. "Thank you so much, Ancestor!"
Alexander didn't say anything more, and turned to Michael:
"Let's begin."
Michael nodded and went into the room with him.
After the two entered the room, Trillian looked at Selene and said, " Selene, let's get ready to begin! Hermione and I will stay by your side and intervene immediately if anything unexpected happens!"
Selene nodded, Draco was about to follow her in when Hermione stopped him. "What are you doing following me?"
Draco replied matter-of-factly, "Didn't I say? The transformation process is fraught with unknown risks and requires a strong person to be present to oversee it, prevent accidents, and intervene at any time. I'll go in and keep an eye on it!"
"I'll keep watch here," Hermione said, her tone leaving no room for argument. "We'll call you in if there are any problems."
"Fine, whatever..." Draco said indifferently.
Trillian smiled mischievously:
"Young Master, Hermione doesn't want you to see certain scenes..."
Selene's expression froze. The thought of Draco seeing her disheveled state during the transformation made her feel embarrassed.
Hermione's face flushed red, and she glared at Trillian with a mixture of embarrassment and anger:
He denied it, saying, "Absolutely not!"
Draco waved his hand dismissively. "Fine, it's not like it's some kind of clothes-ripping scene, just some painful struggle."
Even so, he did actually visualize the scene: Selene in her leather outfit, even in her painful struggle, had a certain charm... Draco shook his head, wondering what he was thinking.
Minmin noticed his momentary lapse in concentration and stared at him suspiciously. "You... did you really have something else in mind just now?"
Draco quickly waved his hand, righteously defending himself, "No way! If I had any other ideas, I would definitely find all sorts of reasons to go in and observe... no, I mean to prevent any accidents!"
"You'd better be..." Hermione glared at him.
Then he turned and followed Selene into the room.
Trillian added with a grin, "Young Master, I'll go in and feast your eyes on it, then I'll come out and describe it to you."
"Go away, what the hell? I'm not that thirsty, am I?" Draco waved his hand dismissively.
Trillian, still grinning mischievously, shoved three blood bags into Draco's hands, then slipped into the room and closed the door.
Draco could still catch a glimpse of Trillian's smug expression through the last crack in his eye, and he couldn't help but shake his head in exasperation.
"Is it really necessary?" he thought, glancing down at the three blood bags in his hand before casually storing them in his System Space.
After the bloodline modification was completed, Michael and Selene walked out of the room one after the other, both of them pale and unsteady on their feet.
Michael leaned against the doorframe to catch his breath, his forehead still covered in fine beads of sweat. Selene was in slightly better condition, but her lips had also lost their color, showing that the transformation process was not easy.
"Is everything alright?" Draco asked with concern.
Michael nodded, his voice a little hoarse. "It's alright... it just feels like my whole body has been taken apart and put back together."
Selene didn't say much, just nodded, looked at Alexander, and asked a question that had been on her mind, "Didn't the progenitor William regain his sanity after drinking your blood?"
Mentioning William, a layer of sorrow finally surfaced on Alexander's calm expression. He was silent for a moment, then shook his head and said:
"Blood can regenerate flesh and blood and offset the weaknesses caused by the curse, but it cannot mend the mind burned by wolfsbane."
At this point, his voice lowered. "The virus not only infected his body, it also gnawed at his humanity. Even if William drinks my blood and his body becomes stronger, the William who was my son can never come back."
"Perhaps, for a fleeting moment, a remnant memory might flash through his mind, but soon, his animalistic instincts will take over again. He will never truly regain his senses."
Alexander closed his eyes and sighed.
"From the very beginning of the anomaly, we tried every possible method to awaken him, but all failed. In desperation, we had no choice but to lock him up in a cell. But recently, Marcus has had the idea of releasing William, which makes the situation even more dangerous."
"Don't worry." Trillian was completely unfazed, patting her chest and declaring, "My young master will go and persuade him right away."
"Then I'll leave it to you."
"Alright." Draco nodded. "You two rest here. We'll go to the Vampire Elder's Castle again."
As soon as he finished speaking, a ripple spread through the space, Draco, along with Hermione and Trillian, teleported away to the vampire elder's castle.
Inside the main hall of the vampire elders' castle, Marcus sat on his throne. Sensing the disturbance, he looked up and saw the three appear out of thin air. His expression remained largely unchanged, and he simply asked, "May I ask what brings you gentlemen here?"
Draco said bluntly:
"I came here for only one person—William, the Wolf William."
Marcus's eyes flickered slightly:
Why are you asking him this?
"We want to know the location of his dungeon, and whether he has been released," Draco stated bluntly.
Marcus looked helpless. " Viktor is dead, and I'm afraid no one in this world knows where that place is anymore."
"You are the progenitor of the vampire clan and one of the three elders, and you don't even know that?" Trillian was a little incredulous.
