After reaching favorability levels of 60 and 70, the Development System has accumulated two skill points.

But Lynn only glanced at it and didn't rush to use it.

The situation has been stabilized to a minimum.

The civil war on the other side of the Forbidden Wall has ended, the rebels have been wiped out, Leo has been proven innocent, and the troops are being reorganized.

Back at the main hive, the nobles remained silent, none daring to step forward again.

On the other side of the ice plains, the savages and the Frost Soldier worked in perfect harmony, and the Orks couldn't make a dent.

As for Luna and Adeptus Mechanicus...

Lynn hadn't figured out how to handle it yet.

But there's no rush; at least for now, things haven't really come to a head.

Save your skill points and use them when needed.

Nine days have passed since Lynn was attacked at Saint Garus Castle.

As usual, Lynn invited his beloved subjects, the nobles, to visit the governor's mansion.

Confiscating property, confiscating property, and more confiscation.

A group of disobedient nobles huddled in the manor's vault, trembling with fear.

They had just heard that Gus had arrived near the manor when one of the guards on duty shook his head and sighed:

"Alas, Gus is here. Another manor is about to fall."

The list of names is dwindling, while the amount of grain in the warehouse is increasing.

Everything is proceeding according to plan.

Until that morning, a servant brought an invitation.

Lynn opened it, glanced at it, and then rubbed his eyes.

It was an invitation from the Upper City Council.

The conference, founded by Caladogon, ended a week before his disappearance.

They've actually restarted it?

He glanced at the name of the person who invited him at the bottom of the page: Luna St. Garus.

Lynn squinted.

After the attendant withdrew, the Ripper in his sleeve immediately became alert.

At the same time, Rena's voice rang in his mind, tinged with obvious wariness:

"Could this be another trap?"

Lynn did not speak.

To be honest, he was scared too.

The lesson from last time is still fresh in my mind: I was controlled by Slaanesh's poison, lost contact with Rena, and almost got offered to Callum by Slaanesh.

If it weren't for Rena's quick reaction and the timely arrival of the Ecclesiarchy troops, he would be suffering somewhere right now.

He first inquired around to find out what was going on with the meeting.

In the end, it turned out that it was indeed quite different from the last time.

Luna invited many people; the list was very long.

Archbishop Goodwin, Chief Archon Carter, and various other dignitaries.

Basically everyone prominent in Brevis received an invitation.

In Lynn's view, this meeting even carried a hint of ostentation.

It's as if it's announcing, "I, Luna St. Garus, have finally become the head of this family."

Come and see, all of you, come and witness!

Lynn smiled somewhat helplessly.

"Investigate," he said to Rena. "See what she's been doing all this time."

Rena is very efficient.

Through her network of Genestealer throughout the main hideout, she quickly ascertained Luna's movements during this period.

Very honest, really honest.

She was essentially reclaiming power from the family; those departments that originally belonged to Callum were taken over by her.

She spoke with those old ministers who were originally loyal to Caladogon one by one.

Some were retained, some were transferred, and some were marginalized.

Everything was normal, orderly, and in accordance with what a " Lord Regent " should do.

The only possibility is that the Adeptus Mechanicus has recently stopped "hiding" as before and has begun to mobilize its armed forces to assist Luna in seizing sovereignty.

After listening to the report, Lynn pondered for a while.

So she really just wanted to show off?

Rena didn't answer, but her expression carried a hint of helplessness, as if saying, "How should I know?"

Lynn thought about it and made a decision.

"Let's go take a look."

Lynn took Isolde with him on this trip.

Doudou is still recovering from her injuries; that big guy has an alarmingly high resistance to Chaos Corruption.

But last time, outside the restaurant, he was anxiously searching for Lynn and fighting a group of Chaos Cultist.

He was slashed dozens of times, and although he is not seriously injured, he is still lying in the infirmary.

Lynn visited him once.

The guy was lying on the bed, his whole body wrapped in bandages, and when he saw Lynn come in, he just grinned like an idiot.

"Boss, I'm fine. I'll be able to get up in a couple of days."

Lynn patted him on the shoulder without saying anything.

With Isolde by his side, even if the enemy tried to use the same trick again, he believed he had the ability to escape.

Their combined fighting strength is now sufficient to handle most unexpected situations.

Upper City Council Hall.

Lynn arrived right on time.

He was dressed exceptionally "formally" today, in a platinum-colored, high-tech Power Armour, with the Governor's Medal and a row of blessed prayers hanging on his chest.

She wore a snow-white fur scarf offered by the savages, with Sword of Valenia hanging on her left waist and the sacred Boltgun on her right.

Fully armed.

He doesn't look like he's here for a meeting; he looks like he's here to fight a war.

The hall was already full of people.

The bishops of the Ecclesiarchy, the nobles of the Uptown, the generals of PDF, the guild leaders of the Midtown, and the leaders of the Wasteland Walkers of the Lower City.

Almost all the prominent figures in Brevis were present.

Only a handful of people knew why Lynn was dressed like that.

Goodwin, seated in the bishop's seat, nodded to Lynn as he entered.

His pure white eyes curved slightly, clearly suppressing a laugh.

Carter sat in his seat at the governor's mansion and saw Lynn fully armed. He was taken aback at first, but then he understood what was going on.

The others didn't quite understand; they simply stared at the governor's gleaming attire and whispered amongst themselves.

"Why is the governor dressed like this today?"

"I don't know, maybe they just came back from somewhere?"

"This Power Armour so beautiful, when will I be able to have one too..."

"You? This is a collector's item belonging to the Ornn Guild Master; a set of it could be exchanged for a corvette."

Lynn ignored the gossip; his gaze fell on the seat next to the head of the table.

There was a person sitting there.

A woman.

She had long, white hair that cascaded over her shoulders.

Her skin is a healthy wheat color, and her overall demeanor is that of an intellectual and elite woman, but she has a wild streak in her bones.

Her left eye was a prosthetic eye, an exquisite mechanical creation, with a faint blue light emanating from its pupil.

Her body underwent a highly modified state, but she retained her human form.

If you don't look closely, you're no different from an ordinary person.

Luna St. Garus.

The contemporary Lord Regent of St. Garus.

She was also looking at Lynn.

Lynn's gleaming gear, and the sword and Boltgun hanging at his waist.

She smiled.

That smile carried a clear hint of mockery.

"Your Excellency the Governor," she began, her voice clear and bright, carrying a certain condescending tone.

"This isn't a dangerous place, why are you dressed so warmly?"

The nobles around her also laughed.

"Yes, yes, Your Excellency is too cautious."

" Saint Garus Castle is one of the safest places in the main hive!"

Hahahaha...

Lynn looked at the people who were laughing, his face expressionless.

He silently memorized the faces of those people.

Finally, he looked at Luna and smiled slightly.

" Lord Regent Luna is right," he said, his tone as calm as if he were talking about the weather.

I hope I'm overthinking it.

He walked to his seat, drew Sword of Valenia, and slammed it into the floor beside his seat.

The powerful figures around them could even feel a scorching sword aura sweeping through the conference room.

The entire room fell silent.

Lynn then sat down.

Isolde stood behind him like a silent guard.

Luna glanced at Isolde, a flicker of something passing through her eyes, but she quickly returned to her condescending expression.

She didn't say anything, but simply looked away, signaling the meeting to begin.
