For the Imperium, Tzeentch's methods were indeed difficult to deal with.
But what does the Imperium's troubles have to do with me, Tyranids?
Rena might not be very good at handling emotions; she's always clueless about people's subtle thoughts and feelings, and it takes her a long time to understand them.
But her mind is a living supercomputer.
No matter how small the deviation in the data, it cannot escape her calculations.
More importantly, the Tyranids possess the Shadow in the Warp.
That was a barrier formed by the Hive Mind in the Warp.
Most Psychic Power detection, Chaos Whispers, and Tzeentch's Seduction are weakened or even blocked in the face of the Zerg swarm.
Under Rena's guidance, the Genestealer secretly reverted the altered parts.
Those Tzeentch Cultist were completely unaware of this.
They still thought their plan was going smoothly.
Simply working at the grassroots level is not enough.
The Tzeentch Cultist set their sights on a higher goal: the high-ranking leaders of the various ships.
If you can corrupt a captain or control a weapons officer, that's far more useful than tampering with the blueprints.
They gathered information about these high-ranking officials through various channels.
But they soon discovered an embarrassing truth.
The captain of that Gothic-class Cruiser was Genestealer, and the head of the weapons systems was Genestealer.
The head of the power compartment is Genestealer, the intelligence officer is Genestealer, and the communications director is Genestealer.
The Navigator, on the other hand, stopped acting altogether; there was no navigator at all.
But they knew perfectly well that some kind of Zoanthrope -like entity must have held this position.
The entire core team, from top to bottom, consists entirely of Genestealer.
The Tzeentch Cultist looked at the list in their hands and fell silent.
Some couldn't help but complain, "Are we infiltrating the Imperial Fleet or the Zerg hive?"
Another person said quietly, "How about... we report it to the Inquisition?"
"What are you reporting?"
"The report claims the governor's ship captain is Genestealer."
"..." Everyone fell silent.
You're Chaos Cultist, and you're going to report this to the Inquisition? Are you afraid you won't die fast enough?
Feeling uneasy under the stares of the others, the man awkwardly shut his mouth.
With a sigh, they could only continue trying to find a solution.
Finally, they set their sights on one person.
The maintenance personnel were assigned to the general supervisor.
This person is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of all maintenance units and keeping track of the entire maintenance plan's progress.
If we can corrupt him, we can influence the preparation of the fleet at a macro level.
By delaying the repair of certain key components or causing errors in certain important processes, the overall progress can be slowed down.
Moreover, intelligence obtained at the cost of their lives indicates that this person is not Genestealer!!!
Upon receiving the news, Tzeentch Cultist immediately began to act.
They infiltrated through various channels, overcoming numerous difficulties, and it took them three whole days.
Finally, a document containing a potential trap of corruption was delivered to the supervisor's office.
The document contains a meticulously designed Psychic Power trap.
Anyone who opens it will be drawn in by the voices hidden behind the words as they read.
Even with the strongest will, one can gradually succumb to the embrace of Chaos.
After that, they began to wait.
But soon, their expectations slowly turned into disappointment.
Because they did not sense any signal of the birth of a new companion.
The document disappeared without a trace, like a stone sinking into the sea.
"What's going on?" Tzeentch Sorcerer in charge of the operation, frowned.
"Did the document get discovered? Or is that supervisor just too determined?"
"Should we send someone to check it out?"
"That's too risky, what if we get discovered..."
"How can we know where the problem lies if we don't go and see?"
After arguing for a long time, they finally decided to take the risk.
The group of dozens of people acted in shifts, and most of them died at the hands of the Genestealer.
Finally, a believer skilled in stealth sneaked into the supervisor's office area under the cover of night.
He made his way to the office and peered through the crack in the door.
Then he saw a huge gray face.
That was an Ogryn.
Standing over 2.8 meters tall with muscles practically bulging, he was wearing the largest size work uniform, but it still looked incredibly tight.
He was sitting in that obviously reinforced chair, one hand holding the document, the other stroking his chin, looking thoughtful.
The document was crumpled and had several suspicious water stains on it, probably from saliva.
After looking at the document for a while, Ogryn yawned, crumpled the paper into a ball, and casually threw it into the nearby trash can.
Then he lowered his head and continued looking at a picture book.
The cover features several colorful little animals, with the words " Marbo's Bizarre Adventure " written next to it.
Ogryn's eyes were wide open as he stared at the pictures, muttering to himself:
"This is a snake lizard, this is a man-eating plant, this, this is..."
He scratched his head, then suddenly grinned sheepishly. " Doudou says this is a toad!"
The Tzeentch Cultist were completely dumbfounded.
He retreated to the outpost, trembling, and told the others what he had seen.
There was a full ten seconds of silence in the room before someone spoke:
"Damn it, the supervisor is Ogryn?!"
One of them said resentfully, "What about our meticulously prepared corrupt document...?"
"It was probably thrown away as waste paper."
"..."
"Where are those whispers of the Warp?"
"Can Ogryn hear the whispers of the Warp? Their brains are so smooth they could slide down a slide; even the demons of the Warp wouldn't bother with them."
"So we spent a whole week just to let Ogryn play a shooting game?"
No one answered.
Silence remained.
And a few deep, desperate sighs.
Fifty days—that was the time Lynn originally planned to take to prepare the expeditionary fleet.
Repairing the Gothic-class Cruiser, preparing escort vessels, training the crew, and allocating supplies.
Every task requires time and manpower, as well as meticulous coordination and cooperation.
But now, the progress is a full third faster than expected.
In just one month, we are already close to achieving our goal.
Lynn stood on the observation deck of the spaceport, looking at the giant ship that was nearing completion, a smile playing on his lips.
"We really owe them a debt of gratitude," he said softly.
Isolde was beside her, nodded; she knew who Lynn was talking about.
Those Tzeentch Cultist.
Their efforts backfired, actually hindering Lynn's progress.
Coupled with the inherently efficient working methods of these Genestealer, their repair speed is naturally astonishingly fast.
"If they knew the truth," Rena said, her voice tinged with a rare hint of irony, "They'd probably go crazy."
Lynn smiled faintly, then turned to look at the starry sky, where Carl II was located.
"By the way, how's Luna doing?"
