The fires of civil war (IV)

Just as the battle between the Sith and Chandler reached a stalemate in the core area, the outer defenses of Carl II had completely collapsed.

The week-long purge of the Bad Moons Clan, the all-out civil war between the two Warboss, and the Elf Gawk tournament all diverted the attention of most of the Orks.

This brought the space station's defenses to an all-time low.

Nearly one-fifth of the outer defensive turrets were destroyed in the previous siege of the Bad Moons Clan.

Most of the remaining ones were unattended, and some hadn't even been loaded with shells.

It's important to know that the Carl II's defensive line was circular, and the direction of the Imperial Fleet's attack was specifically chosen by Lynn.

The section of the defense system that was most severely damaged, and the entire core of Carl II is currently embroiled in internal strife.

There was no one controlling Carl II to rotate in time and switch over the section with intact defenses.

After fierce battles between the three major clans and the Bad Moons Clan, nearly one-third of the defensive facilities in the middle layer of the defense perimeter were destroyed.

With most of the shield generators disabled, the Ork Boyz stationed there either ran off to the core area to watch the two bosses' deadly battle.

They were either still fighting each other with the remnants of the Bad Moons Clan, and no one paid any attention to the commotion on the outskirts of the star system.

In the bridge of the Rule of Discipline, Luna stood in front of the star chart platform, looking at the green light-up path ahead.

A sense of unease began to creep into my mind.

She had originally prepared for a bloody battle, after all, the Orks defenses of the Carl II had caused her fleet to suffer setbacks several times.

This time, however, her fleet crushed the outer defenses of the Carl II with almost no effort.

Those turret arrays that used to give her headaches either fell silent or only managed sporadic retaliation.

The stationed Orks fleet was utterly vulnerable, scattering and fleeing at the first contact, unable to mount any semblance of resistance.

" Lord Regent Highness, we have broken through the middle layer of defenses; the core area of Carl II is just ahead."

"The landing force has been assembled: five Imperial Knight detachments and ten Skitarii Vanguard regiments are all ready."

The adjutant beside him bowed and reported, his tone filled with barely concealed excitement.

Luna raised her hand, her fingertips tracing the coordinates of the core area on the star map, a glint of cunning blue light flashing in her eyes.

As she got closer to the core area, she keenly sensed that two terrifying and chilling forces were colliding violently in the center of the core area.

One is Orks Psychic Power with primal wildness, and the other is an iron-clad power that embodies countless beliefs.

"I see..." A smile finally appeared on Luna's lips.

Luna, who had initially suspected a trap, now understood everything.

"These Xenos are actually fighting a civil war!"

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity bestowed upon her by the Lord of Change!

The two strongest Orks are locked in a deadly battle, paralyzing the entire space station's defenses. If she can reap the benefits, she can eliminate these two biggest threats.

That would allow us to completely take down the Orks nest that had been troubling Brevis's proactive counterattack.

At that time, her reputation in Brevis will reach its peak, and she will naturally become the marshal of the Purification Crusade.

This will surely please the Lord of Change and allow him to obtain even greater Chaos power from Him.

"Land!" Luna turned around abruptly, her icy voice carrying an undeniable determination.

"All troops, advance at full speed into the core area! This time, I will completely purify this space station tainted by the Orks bastards!"

At her command, countless landing pods, like raindrops, broke through the Orks field of Carl II and plummeted towards the core area.

After a series of urgent alarms, the Knight of St. Garus stepped out of the landing pod with heavy steps.

The Volcano Cannon and the Melta Cannon were ready to fire at any time, and the Viper-class Lancer's thrusters were also preheated.

The PDF's Chimera Armoured Vehicle formed a neat assault formation, their Heavy Bolter constantly spraying fire, tearing the scattered Ork Boyz who charged forward to shreds.

The vanguard of the Skitarii, armed with Pulse Rifle, advanced steadily like precise machines.

The blazing flames from the Purifiers's flamethrower burned the Orks hiding in the ruins to a crisp.

Along the way, they encountered almost no significant obstacles.

Inside the space station, Orks soldiers were fighting each other. The boys from Bad Moons and Hokage were still locked in combat, while the boys from Deathskulls and Evil Sunz had just started their fight.

Seeing the Imperium troops charging towards them, only a few Orks opened fire on the shrimps, failing to mount any unified resistance.

She personally piloted her own geared knight, " Transformation of Shadows," following the vanguard as they charged into the core area of Carl II.

Upon closer inspection, you'll discover that the " Transformation of Shadows " is radiating a strange, colorful light.

At the joints, it seemed as if flesh and blood were wriggling.

After rushing into the core area, she finally saw the source of the two forces and the thirty-meter-tall Gargant Mech in the center of the hall.

A familiar, and infuriatingly pungent, waaagh aura emanated from the mecha.

She instantly recalled the surprise attack her fleet had suffered outside the Carl II about two months ago.

It was that exact same waaagh aura from that suddenly appearing horned Orks warship.

It nearly destroyed her flagship, and she herself couldn't withstand the pressure, attempting to abandon ship and escape.

This was the greatest humiliation of her military career.

"It's you! That damned Orks beast!"

Luna's voice, filled with barely suppressed anger, reverberated throughout the hall through the mech's amplification system.

She raised the mech's Melta Cannon, unlocking all weapon systems, and barked an order into the communication channel:

"All units, focus fire on this Orks mech! Smash it to pieces!"

The Imperial Knight ' Volcano Cannon, the armored vehicles' Heavy Bolter, and the Skitarii ' laser barrages poured down on the Gargant Mech like a tidal wave.

But just a second before the artillery fire fell, the Orks, who were still locked in a fierce battle, did something that Luna never expected.

Sith stopped his Psychic Power attack and instantly teleported to the side of the hall, putting distance between himself and Chandler's mech.

The Hokage had been building between the Hokage, Blood Axes, the boys of the Evil Sunz Clan, and the Orks members of the Deathskulls, Goffs, and Snakebites.

They tacitly lowered their weapons, turned around, and stared intently at the human troops who had stormed into the battlefield with their crimson eyes.

Even though they had a blood feud and an endless civil war, the moment the shrimp barged in, all the Orks were surprisingly in agreement.

Let's kill these intruders first!

"Waaaagh!!! Kill these shrimps!"

Someone shouted first, and instantly, all the Orks in the hall erupted in a deafening waaagh roar.

The Hokage ninja boys swooped down from the sky, landing inside the ranks of the Skitarii and slaughtering them madly.

The Mekboy kids from Deathskulls activated the mechs around them, and the hundreds of war machines created an astonishing sight.

The Red Boys of Evil Sunz roared up on their high-speed motorcycles, while the Blood Axes agents instantly vanished, circling behind the Imperium forces.

Meanwhile, the brutes of Goffs and Snakebites, wielding giant axes and machetes, charged forward despite the Imperium's firepower.

Sith's psionic Psychic Power surged once more, and green light gathered in his palm, but his target was not Chandler.

Chandler's Gargant Mech also turned around, its three-meter-caliber Kannon on its abdomen aimed at Luna.

One second they were mortal enemies fighting to the death, the next they seemed to be standing on the same side.

In the shadows of the hall, Lynn watched the sudden melee unfold.

He glanced again at Luna's knight mech, which was full of Tzeentch features, and nodded in satisfaction.

As the three sides were about to engage in a deadly battle, his fleet continued to leisurely "clean up" the remaining Orks ships on the periphery.

He couldn't help but exclaim, "They're all leaders; I never originally intended to have this braised chicken!"
