Background / History

The institution known as the Academy was originally created by the Holy Emperor. Over time, the original Academies evolved into varied academy-like institutions, including Great Qian's Lingyun Sacred Land, the Cold Moon Immortal Dynasty's Immortal Palace, and analogous institutions in the Red Moon Demon Dynasty. These bodies train combatants and researchers, investigate Divine Martial-era ruins, and study surviving records and technology. 454

Longzuo Purple Mansion Academy operates above ordinary aristocratic clans in status. For lower-ranked clans, securing a descendant's place at the Academy can create opportunities for the entire family to rise in standing. 254 274

Admission requires more than talent. Candidates must have a clean and verifiable background: rogue cultivators and members of low-tier aristocratic clans are excluded, while even direct-line descendants undergo stringent ancestral vetting. 134

Purple Mansion Sacred Mountain

The Academy's peaks and lineages are spread across the vast Purple Mansion Sacred Mountain. The terrain makes ordinary mounts impractical, so disciples commonly travel by spirit-beast mount. 254

Recruitment and Grand Competition

Before each recruitment period, the Academy holds a grand competition among its disciples to evaluate their studies. The victorious lineage gains priority in selecting valued new disciples. 254

Performance in the competition can earn credits, bring recognition to a peak or lineage, and lead to selection as a core disciple or personal disciple. 254

Disciples undertake Academy missions through Qianqiu Hall and use earned credits to obtain supplies and services. 254

Service Requirement

Ordinary disciples must serve the Academy for fifty years after graduation as repayment for its cultivation. Afterward, they may return to their clan or remain with the Academy to continue earning resources. 280
