Wenwu built up the Ten Rings by acquiring scientists, advanced technology, and enhanced fighters while expanding his power in Salia. As Tony Stark’s armor changed the public landscape and the Avengers Initiative began taking shape, Wenwu’s researchers prepared to create a new element.

• Wenwu left Shang-Chi in San Francisco without telling Xialing, then began cultivating chi and forced Madame Gao to teach him K'un-Lun's methods.
• Wenwu abducted Dr. Burstein from Seagate Prison and used his research to develop a human enhancement process, while building a secret base and expanding the Ten Rings’ operations.
• Wenwu took control of Raza’s Afghan outpost, monitored Tony Stark in captivity, and recruited Ivan and Anton Vanko to replicate the Arc Reactor and develop Iron Man armor.
• Wenwu captured Ulysses Klaue’s vibranium and recruited the Mutant Becky, then compelled Ivan to build armor and ordered Dr. Burstein to prepare an enhancement procedure for him.
• Wenwu pursued advanced technology and superhuman research, capturing Dr. Sterns after the Hulk’s battle with Abomination and making him develop improved enhancement and evolution serums.
• Wenwu enhanced Razor Fist, Ching-Lin, Becky, and Hamid, while Ivan completed a second-generation Iron Man suit that Wenwu tested in flight.
• Wenwu expanded the Ten Rings’ territory and factories in Salia, recruited scientists through Star Ring, and learned that Tony Stark had publicly closed Stark Industries’ weapons division.
• Wenwu watched a broadcast of two armored fighters battling outside Stark Industries, while Nick Fury urged the military to suppress the Ten Rings and assigned Agent Hill to recruit Peter Parker.

Wenwu strengthened himself with the Spider Serum, exposed the Ten Rings to the world, and fought a costly war against the United States while building up his organization and technology. After stabilizing nuclear fusion and acquiring Oscorp, he went into space to use a device for attracting and converging Cosmic Energy as Reed’s crew encountered the energy storm.

• Wenwu took the Spider Serum, gained metal manipulation and other abilities, and discovered that his X-Gene had awakened.
• Wenwu rejected Hydra’s offer to recruit him, killed its invisible attacker, and began preparing the Ten Rings for public scrutiny and possible war.
• Wenwu’s global broadcast defended the Ten Rings and exposed Hydra, while Anton and Ivan released Arc Reactor blueprints that Tony had wanted to keep secret.
• The United States and its allies attacked the Ten Rings, and Wenwu retaliated by destroying military bases with plasma fusion missiles before establishing a hidden base in the Sahara.
• Dr. Otto’s fusion experiment became an artificial sun, killing Otto and Rosie, while Norman Osborn became the Green Goblin and later fell into military custody after Tony and Peter defeated him.
• Wenwu’s Star Ring Group acquired most of Oscorp, and Wenwu successfully stabilized nuclear fusion beneath the Gobi and expanded his base with a giant laser-bored tunnel.
• Wenwu increased his mental power, learned Ivan had completed a stealth Ring Armor, and built an Attraction and Convergence Device from Dr. Sterns’s research.
• Wenwu flew into space with Razor Fist and super soldiers, and he entered the device as Reed and his crew faced the Cosmic Energy storm ahead of schedule.

Wenwu’s transformed powers and stolen technology helped him build the Ten Rings into a conquering force, while a manufactured crisis led him into war with the United States. After founding an empire and offering Mutants refuge, he began investigating vampires and a new virus before setting out to confront Ghost Rider.

• Wenwu gained new powers, harvested Vibranium from Wakanda, and stole its research to strengthen the Ten Rings.
• Wenwu collected the Destroyer’s Uru fragments and copied Victor’s metal body and abilities, then stole Trask Industries’ Sentinel and Mutant research.
• Wenwu completed the Godslayer armor and attacked Dexun Base after Hydra used Shang-Chi and Xialing to lure him there, killing them and thousands of soldiers.
• Wenwu defeated the Avengers and Fantastic Four as the Ten Rings fought U.S. forces, and the Ancient One diverted the world’s nuclear weapons into deep space.
• Wenwu offered refuge to Mutants in Salia, helped Lucien regain his human appearance, and founded the Ten Rings Empire while governments and Mutant leaders reacted to its growing power.
• Wenwu ordered a vampire-hunting squad, experimented on captured vampires, and developed a modified virus that could cause a global disaster.
• Wenwu turned a wolf into the powerful mutant Dahei and began refining the virus using his blood and genetic samples.
• Ching-Lin reported that Ghost Rider had appeared in a Ten Rings city, and Wenwu went to confront him.

Wenwu expanded the Ten Rings Empire, developed new powers and technology, and helped defeat Galactus before Loki brought the Chitauri to Earth. After the invasion, Wenwu helped Thor escape with the Tesseract and fought Carol as Stark Tower collapsed.

• Wenwu captured Ghost Rider, resisted Mephisto’s offer of dark magic, and began studying Hellfire while the Ancient One warned Mordo against provoking him.
• Wenwu captured Jamie’s duplicates, studied their X-Gene, and used Soul Peering to learn Hank Pym’s memories as the Ten Rings Empire expanded.
• Wenwu created clones, captured Sterns and Skrull infiltrators, transformed Dahei with modified Hulk Serum, and destroyed Hydra’s hidden base while freeing its controlled Mutants.
• Wenwu developed Pym Particle technology, joined the effort against Galactus, and helped build and detonate a bomb from Silver Surfer’s board in space.
• Loki opened a portal over New York and unleashed the Chitauri, while Wenwu fought Loki, clashed with Thor, and sent a clone to disable and steal the Chitauri mothership.
• Carol arrived and destroyed much of the Chitauri force, but Wenwu secretly helped Thor take the Tesseract and escape with Loki to Asgard.
• Wenwu fought Carol through Stark Tower, using metal, his Godslayer Battle Armor, the Ten Rings, and his Uru body as the tower crumbled.
