The Dark Elves, with their ancient weapon Aether, harbor a conspiracy to turn the entire universe into Dark World.
These myths and legends, which previously only existed in ancient tales, slowly unfolded before the research trio as Qin Xiao and Thor recounted them.
Although their story was as bland and uninteresting as plain water, it didn't stop the three members of the science group from unleashing their boundless imaginations.
"So, our research here not only alerted two Avengers, but it's also connected to a cosmic-level catastrophe? And the sorcerers on Earth prophesied that we could find the place where the ancient weapon is hidden through this spatial anomaly?"
Qin Xiao responded to Daisy's question with an affirmative nod.
"Jane, you shouldn't be a scientist anymore. Maybe we should become a witch or something, and join the Avengers."
Daisy made an extremely exaggerated gesture to describe how outrageous the matter was.
"Alright, now that we've finished the business, it's time to make use of your instrument. Come on, Ms. Foster!"
Qin Xiao pointed to a meter about the size of a card reader in Jian's hand.
Jane Foster, holding the instrument and watching the constantly changing values, led the group to search back and forth inside the building.
The spatial fluctuations and gravity within this building were extremely abnormal; Qin Xiao had felt tiny spatial rifts flash past him several times.
The atmosphere on the other side of the crack was either chilling or scorching hot; in any case, it definitely didn't smell like a place on Earth.
After circling around several times, Jane suddenly stopped at a corner.
Daisy tugged at Qin Xiao's sleeve and stood on tiptoe to look at the instrument in Jane's hand.
The pointer on the dashboard was firmly pointing towards its maximum value, and it was also jumping and trembling from time to time. Clearly, the spatial fluctuations here were almost beyond the maximum value that the instrument in Jian's hand could display.
Without saying a word, Jane nodded to the crowd.
"The spatial fluctuations here are too intense. What lies ahead could be anywhere in the Nine Realms, perhaps even the lair of some bloodthirsty creature. You must understand, the Nine Realms possess many incredibly powerful beings. If we enter such a place, we might not be able to protect you all for a while!"
Qin Xiao looked at the science trio and said.
"I need to go and see for myself. This is the area of my research. Although you have explained the origin and cause of these distorted spaces to me, I am a scientist, and I must see what I am studying with my own eyes and experience its wonders."
Jane answered without hesitation.
In comparison, Daisy is more of a woman.
"I'll stay with you. Who knows where in this godforsaken place the space might suddenly become abnormal? I feel safest with you!"
"Me too! I'll go with everyone!"
Ian also spoke loudly, but his tone sounded more like that of a child who didn't want to be abandoned.
"All right!"
Qin Xiao and Thor exchanged a glance and nodded. Qin Xiao took the lead, with Thor following behind, protecting the three of them in the middle. They then stepped around the corner.
Unlike Qin Xiao's usual use of spatial wormholes, which at least have something like a door frame to give you a psychological suggestion that going through them is equivalent to passing through space and arriving at another place.
This time, there was nothing there. Qin Xiao took a step forward, and without feeling anything, the surrounding scenery had already changed.
Originally, it was in a building full of dust and exposed cement walls, but stepping out, you arrive at a place that is obviously man-made.
The ancient buildings, exuding an eerie and mysterious atmosphere, also possess a touch of antiquity.
The surrounding walls were made of huge, single stones, with incomprehensible runes and patterns carved on them.
The other four followed closely behind Qin Xiao, stepping into the mysterious ancient building one after another.
Jane looked at the instrument in her hand; the fluctuation value on it had gradually decreased to its lowest level.
Jane took a few steps back, and sure enough, the spatial anomaly had disappeared. Taking a few steps back did not take her back to Earth, nor did it take her anywhere else.
"It's alright, Qin has the Space Stone, we can return to Earth directly from anywhere in the universe, and there's also the Bifrost!"
Thor said a few words to reassure Jane and the others, and Daisy and Ian had already taken out their phones and started taking pictures of the walls around them.
"I'm going to publish these photos. The archaeologists will go crazy over them. It's a shame this place isn't on Earth!"
As they spoke, the group walked in the direction of the door, passing through about two or three rooms, and arrived at a grand hall with an even more sinister atmosphere.
This place looks like an indoor altar of an evil religion, with two huge square stones stacked one on top of the other in the middle of the room.
Strangely, the two huge rocks did not completely fuse together; instead, there was a gap at least twenty centimeters wide between them, and within the gap, a faint red light flickered like breathing.
From that red light, both Qin Xiao and Thor sensed a dangerous aura.
Just as the two exchanged a glance and confirmed that the Aether were sealed inside,
The curious scientists—or rather, Jane and Daisy— couldn't contain their curiosity any longer and reached out to touch it, one on each side.
"Shit!"
"Fuck!"
Qin Xiao and Thor simultaneously unleashed a torrent of profanities, charging towards the two women from the left and right respectively.
In terms of speed, Qin Xiao was much faster than Thor.
He grabbed Daisy and pulled her behind him. Looking at the red light in the middle of the stone, it had changed from red to a dark red light similar to venous blood.
This dark red light slowly transformed from a ball into a long, thin strip, like a living snake, and coiled around Jian on the other side.
A cold glint flashed in Qin Xiao's eyes, and before the Aether could wrap around Jian's arm, he grabbed most of the Aether that were still under the rocks.
An incredibly powerful force erupted from Qin Xiao's hand, causing the irregularly shaped Qin Xiao Aether to struggle and tumble within Qin Xiao grasp before instantly breaking free.
It continued to wrap around Jane's arm.
" Space Stone, you idiot! The Infinity Stones are one, use your other hand!"
The system's voice suddenly rang in Qin Xiao's mind, Qin Xiao had no time to refute the system's address to him.
The other hand swiftly reached out and barely caught the tiny tail of the Aether.
A violent force surged through his hand once more. This time, before Qin Xiao could even release his grip, the Space Stone suddenly emitted an energy that neutralized the power of the Aether.
Then, the Aether, which were mostly wrapped around Jane, suddenly trembled and turned to surge into Qin Xiao's body like a tidal wave.
"Ah!"
Qin Xiao let out a painful shout, using the last bit of self-control to push Daisy away. Immediately, flames erupted from his body, and he floated in mid-air in the shape of a cross.
