Outside the town of Gulmira, a vast, densely packed graveyard had recently sprung up.
These graves had been built collectively by the town's survivors for the family and friends they had lost.
They stretched out in a dense expanse, simple holes dug in the ground with wooden boards stuck into them.
Few people remained in the town. Many of the fortunate young survivors had chosen to leave this ill-fated place.
Those who stayed were either elderly or pitiful souls who had lost their families and had nothing left.
"They used to come here often, too, robbing us and taking away people with skills they needed, but it was never like this. A massacre!"
"They said Yinsen helped you escape, and that was a challenge to their authority!"
The speaker was one of the few young people Qin Xiao and Tony had found in town.
He led Qin Xiao and Tony toward Yinsen's grave.
His words made Tony fall even more silent.
"Why haven't you left? I mean, if you want to leave, I can help."
After a long silence, Tony spoke up.
"This is my home, sir. My parents and my little sister are buried here! I want to stay with them!"
A trace of sorrow flashed in the young man's eyes. This was his only home. He had nowhere else to go!
"This is Yinsen's grave. He was a good doctor who helped many of us. We gave him the largest headstone!"
The young man led Qin Xiao and Tony to a graveyard outside town.
"I'm sorry, buddy! I should have thought of this long ago. I should have been paying attention to this place. But I swear to you, those people will never hurt the innocent people around here again!"
As Tony spoke, he took out a cheeseburger and set it on the grave beside Yinsen's. It belonged to Yinsen's child.
Before returning here, Yinsen had gone back to Los Angeles with Tony.
And the first thing Tony had done upon returning to the United States was go eat cheeseburgers.
While they were eating, Yinsen had mentioned that his child loved them too, but unfortunately rarely had the chance to eat them in Gulmira.
The sight left Qin Xiao somewhat moved.
Tony Stark seemed foul-mouthed and arrogant.
But he always quietly remembered everyone's needs.
The TV shows Happy liked to watch, adding a parachute to Spider-Man's suit after Rhodey was injured, and so on...
Qin Xiao had even noticed during a recent visit that, for the renovations to Qin Xiao's new home, Tony had outwardly spoken disdainfully of him while secretly modifying the code of an AI program.
He had even thoughtfully added a large amount of Chinese so that Qin Xiao could use it more comfortably and conveniently.
Ukoda was a town about fifty kilometers from Gulmira.
Recently, it had become another place plundered by the Ten Rings terrorists led by the bald man.
Of course, the young man who guided them had told Qin Xiao and Tony this as well.
"Sir! Can I go with you? Give me a weapon. I want revenge for my family and friends!"
The young man said this to them before seeing Qin Xiao and Tony onto the plane.
"Stay here, look after the elderly, and turn your hometown back into what it used to be!"
Qin Xiao patted the young man on the shoulder and left Yinsen's hometown with Tony.
In the earlier news footage, the reporter had described the little road leading to Gulmira as the road to hell.
Now, that title clearly had to be handed over to Ukoda.
The roads outside town were littered with the bodies of locals.
Most had been shot in the back. They had probably been treated as live targets by the terrorists and shot from behind as they fled.
There were not only young adults and women here, but also many children in their teens.
The most pitiful was a little girl who looked about five or six.
The rifle's powerful shot had torn her thigh apart.
She lay on the ground staring into the distance, her eyes full of terror.
The mangled wound on her thigh had already begun to turn pale.
Behind her stretched a long, winding, irregular trail of blood.
Qin Xiao could even picture what had happened. Perhaps her parents had already been shot dead inside the town.
Before dying, they had told her to run, only for a terrorist to shoot her from behind and shatter her thigh.
And so the little girl had dragged her ruined leg along the ground for a long time before finally dying from blood loss.
"I don't know what your faith was, but I think heaven is the same for everyone. You'll see your parents there, and none of these terrible things will ever happen again!"
Qin Xiao crouched down and gently closed the little girl's eyes.
The little girl's eyes were closed forever, but the sight remained etched in Qin Xiao's mind.
It would not fade!
Sporadic gunfire drifted from the town, accompanied by cries for help.
Qin Xiao and Tony exchanged a glance.
Tony's faceplate snapped shut, while Qin Xiao pushed hard off the ground.
One above and one below, the two figures shot toward the town like lightning.
On the little road leading out of town, a boy of thirteen or fourteen was stumbling toward the outskirts.
His father, a man who had already been shot in the thigh, dragged one leg as he struggled to run behind the boy.
All the while, he kept shouting for the boy to run faster, faster.
A dozen meters behind them, a terrorist held a rifle.
He had assumed a textbook firing stance, his sights trained on the father's other thigh.
Shoot out that leg too, then kill the little boy ahead with another shot, leaving the man to die in despair amid both physical and mental agony. This was a pleasure he had only recently discovered.
The massacre in Gulmira had completely unleashed the demons in these terrorists' hearts.
Over the past few days, their methods had grown increasingly bloody and cruel.
He locked onto the father's thigh, a faint smile curling his lips.
His finger was just about to pull the trigger.
Whoosh!
A miniature missile shot down from the sky, blasting the terrorist into scattered chunks of flesh!
A gold-and-red figure flashed past overhead.
At that moment, another terrorist emerged from a nearby house after hearing the explosion.
He was still holding earrings, bracelets, and other women's jewelry.
He glanced in confusion at the blast site on the ground, but before he could figure out what had happened,
he saw a figure charge in along the packed dirt road, sweeping up clouds of dust like a mighty dragon.
The terrorist did not even have time to raise his gun.
Qin Xiao's full-force punch slammed straight into his face.
A full-force punch.
His entire head burst apart like a watermelon struck by a sledgehammer.
Blood and brains splattered all over Qin Xiao's face.
