• Natasha questioned why the Nova Empire could not defeat Ronan despite the resources it offered, and Nova Prime explained that a peace agreement and the elders’ opposition prevented military expansion.

Qin Xiao forced Yondu to explain how he had raised Star-Lord as his own son, then stopped Yondu from killing himself with the Yaka Arrow. Yondu and Star-Lord reunited on the ground while Qin Xiao kept the arrow.

• Yondu's crew fled after Qin Xiao defeated them, and Qin Xiao restrained Star-Lord to make Yondu reveal why he would not leave.
• Yondu confessed that he had been hired to bring Peter from Earth but had chosen to raise him instead, and he warned that the Orb would bring trouble.

Thanos arrived at the Celestial’s skull, cut off its occupants from outside help, and demanded that Gamora bring him the Collector. Gamora lured him down to meet her, and the chapter ended with the two sides facing off in a square before a fight.

The Avengers and their allies attacked Thanos on his asteroid, using coordinated strikes and the Groots’ vines and lightning to briefly restrain him. Thanos broke free, injured Groot, and prepared to get serious as he advanced on the group.

Thanos overwhelmed the Avengers and nearly killed Natasha and Gamora before Qin Xiao arrived through a portal and stopped his strike. Qin Xiao then attacked Thanos with the Eternal Flame and a saber, beginning their fight.

Qin Xiao returned from the universe after securing the Nova Empire’s help with a lunar base and Mars terraforming plans. Back on Earth, he learned that Hydra may have Loki’s scepter in Eastern Europe and ordered Peggy Carter to find it carefully.

• Gamora stayed at the Celestial’s skull to oversee the Tivan Group, while Star-Lord, Yondu, Rocket, and Groot remained there as well.
• Qin Xiao visited the lunar base and confirmed that the Nova Empire was keeping its promise to build it and support the Avengers’ operations.
