Qin Ze is a transmigrator whose older sister remains a familiar—and frequently exasperating—presence in his new life. His clone ability initially overwhelms him with constant overlapping chatter. His parents interpret his muttering as illness and send him to a psychiatric hospital, where he spends two months. During that stay, he discovers how to combine his clones’ attributes into a temporary burst of strength 1 2.

His parents are frequently absent on business, leaving Qin Yu to raise him in practice. Their distance contributes to his strained relationship with them: he later recognizes that his adolescent hostility was an attempt to gain their attention. Reuniting with his mother dispels much of that resentment 544 557.

His parents are eventually revealed to be Level Nine martial artists from humanity’s second Strong Race Project. They had protected his identity so thoroughly that even the Grand Consul did not know they had a son 910.

Connection to the Desolate God

Jiuyou tells Qin Ze that they are both one another and more than themselves, linking their connection to the Mystery in the Womb. After Jiuyou merges with him, resentful spirits attempt to seize Qin Ze’s body through Jiuyou’s original Source, but Qin Ze retains control 875.

The God of Machinery later identifies Qin Ze as someone who was once part of the Desolate God, while admitting that he does not know which part. Qin Ze consequently questions whether other beings capable of resonating with him share the same origin 929.

Personality

Qin Ze is irreverent, opportunistic, and fond of teasing people while extracting useful information. He probes Zi Yue’s background through playful boasting and repeatedly turns his supposed closeness to powerful acquaintances into leverage 405 625 801.

His apparent laziness rests on an unusually effective division of labor. He delegates cultivation, reconnaissance, and dangerous testing to his clones, sometimes sleeping while they work. The clones openly resent his claims that their effort amounts to his own hard training 59 208 543 717.

He is cautious about exposing his abilities. Early on, he refuses to register Devouring as an innate talent because it resembles an exotic beast’s power and might attract an enforcer’s scrutiny. Later, he restricts which techniques each identity can display 10 352 490.

Despite his evasiveness, he accepts serious personal risk for others. During the Jiang City Tide, he refuses to retreat into Shelter Space because tens of thousands of civilians would be left behind. His confidence is not unshakable: failures to rescue loved ones and visions of facing Heaven alone bring out guilt, fear, and dependence on his companions 113 896 1181.

As an organizer, he prefers specialists to handle their own fields. He entrusts administration to Second Sister and recruits Star Eyes as the allied army’s chief of staff rather than attempting to manage everything himself 1025 1031.
