Personality

Brother Devour is fiercely loyal to Qin Ze and repeatedly accepts injuries to secure openings for his allies. When the high priest offers him wealth and future divine patronage in exchange for abandoning his attack, Brother Devour answers simply, “Loyalty” 650. During Jiang City's defense, he steps forward because there is nowhere left to retreat and someone must act 112.

He enjoys direct physical contests, showing excitement when an opponent is willing to exchange punches and acknowledging A Niu's strength after their first clash. His confidence comes with blunt insults and jokes, including taunts delivered from inside Little White's stomach 203 277 833.

His recklessness in personal combat does not extend to every tactical decision. He distributes Soul Orbs to weaker Heavenly Kings rather than consuming them himself, and later refuses to send the First Legion charging into a defensive line occupied by Strange Gods 947 1103.

Following the Otherworld's closure, the clones vote him their MVP. He returns in a depleted state and spends time recovering his Devouring ability and former strength 78 85.

Jiang City and the Battery-Data Incident

During the octopus swarm's assault on Jiang City, Brother Devour leaves the wall to fight beside Dharma King, entrusting his favorite jacket to Niuniu before charging 112.

He later forces Fan Mingjie to surrender nine hundred crystals, five units of Source of the World, and a USB drive containing stolen battery data. After unknown attackers kill Fan Mingjie and dismember Brother Devour, he regenerates and counterattacks, discovering that one attacker contains mechanical components 174 175.

Sea Battles and Circus Operations

Brother Devour protects the Circus's ship by letting Little White swallow him, then attacking its stomach until it spits him out and retreats 277. During the subsequent boarding battle, he kills the enemy first mate and helps force the opposing crew's surrender 280.

He also serves as the group's close-range defender against the fake Circus leader and a heavily armed cyborg, creating openings for Dharma King and Qin Ze 340 423.

Battles Against Divine Opponents

Brother Devour immobilizes the high priest despite extreme heat and refuses an offer to change sides 650. Against the Faceless Beast, he overcomes sensory deception through Qin Ze's guidance, helping shatter its Spiritual Sea of Consciousness 797.

He later overwhelms Leo and survives the lion soul's self-destruction. After breaking through the president's ward, he endures repeated destruction of his head while keeping the president occupied 872 878.

Rotten Vine and the Allied Army

During the defense of the Rotten Vine, Brother Devour occupies the injured centaur Strange God, absorbing its attacks while Clown studies its abilities 989.

Qin Ze subsequently stations him at Outpost City and assigns him to assemble the Myriad Races Allied Army. Further Soul Orb consumption raises him to Peak Level Nine 1008 1010 1014. As First Legion commander, he helps repel the beast tide, batters the returning giant octopus, and leads breakthroughs through two enemy defensive lines 1070 1103.

Fairness Arena and Star Gate

Brother Devour leads the Mist Lord, A Bing, and Mr. Yin Yang against Meng Die and three Strange Gods inside the Fairness Arena. He engages Curse Extinction directly, whose physical toughness remains comparable to his under the arena's balancing effect 1155 1156.
