Arc 18Divinity in the Land of Origin

Qin Ze accompanied Zi Yue into the Land of Origin, fought the God of Machinery, and escaped into a forest where the sealed Goddess of Life tried to win his help. He returned with a newly formed Divinity and awaited the trial Otherworld in Snow City as news arrived of Leo's escape.

  • Qin Ze and Zi Yue entered the Land of Origin aboard the Flying Circus Man and reached an ancient island after fighting through attacking beasts.
  • Zi Yue transplanted the Spirit Tree while Qin Ze and his companions fought rival intruders and the Flying Circus Man defeated the Intellect Clan ships.
  • Qin Ze stayed behind as the island collapsed, absorbed the Relic, and fought the God of Machinery before using a Ghost Type to break its mech and escaping through Super Teleportation.
  • Qin Ze arrived in a forest of magical animals, witnessed the Divine Tree scatter world seeds, and followed a centaur knight to the sealed Goddess of Life.
  • Qin Ze refused the disguised Goddess of Life's demand to open her seal, and the Divine Tree planted a seed in him that formed a Divinity before he was sent back to the Abyss.
  • Qin Ze absorbed the Apostle of the God of Machinery’s Relic and read Old Huang’s records about spreading pollution, the gods, and the destruction of the Star Gate.
  • Qin Ze evolved Captain Hook into Ghost Captain with the S-rank Ghost Type Soul Orb, supplied his crew, and returned to Snow City to await the Otherworld.
  • Qin Ze learned that Wang Biao was the final Hunter and Leo had escaped, then collected a cane for Fatty from Slacking on the Sidelines before three armed men entered the bar.
Chapters 426–450 Vol. 5 Read

Ch. 426The Upside-Down Ocean

Qin Ze and Zi Yue reached the Land of Origin and entered through a spatial gateway, finding a strange world with a stormy sea overhead. As exotic beasts emerged from the sea, Qin Ze ordered the Flying Circus Man’s cannons prepared.

  • Qin Ze pushed the Flying Circus Man onward through an Abyss undercurrent and learned from Zi Yue why she and Zi Liangchen had sought the crystal ball.
  • Zi Yue activated the crystal ball to open a gateway, and the Flying Circus Man plunged through the spatial ripples into the Land of Origin.
  • A blonde mature beauty and a Cloud Clan member followed them through the gateway while the cyborg and red-eyed man stayed behind to await the Intellect Clan patrol fleet.
  • Qin Ze and Zi Yue found themselves in a gray-misted world with a stormy sea above them, and one of Qin Ze’s clones jumped off the ship.
  • Groups of exotic beasts leaped from the overhead sea, and Qin Ze ordered all cannons prepared.

Ch. 427Land of Origin?

Qin Ze and his companions fought through a tide of rotting sea beasts aboard the Flying Circus Man and reached an island surrounded by a safe sea. They suspected the island might be the Land of Origin, while a blond beauty and a Cloud Clansman followed their wake.

  • Qin Ze ordered the Flying Circus Man’s 110 runic cannons to fire, slaughtering the attacking beasts until the cannonballs ran low.
  • After the lookout spotted an island, Qin Ze rejected using Entropy Stones as ammunition and guided the ship toward it while he, the Dharma King, and Zi Liangchen held back the beasts.
  • A giant octopus damaged the ship’s propeller, and Qin Ze killed it with the Fire Movement Technique, sensing a spiritual attack in its dying scream.
  • Qin Ze used Brother Yuanzi’s Five Elements Talismans to speed the ship into the island’s surrounding sea, where the pursuing beasts stopped at the boundary.
  • Qin Ze asked Zi Yue whether they had reached the Land of Origin, and she said the ancient island might be a remnant from the age of the gods.
  • A blond beauty annihilated nearby beasts as the Cloud Clansman noticed the Flying Circus Man’s wake and proposed following it.

Ch. 428The Abyss Puppet's Complete Form

Qin Ze and the others followed Zi Yue toward a mountain on the island after she sensed a familiar scent there. A giant six-winged goshawk appeared above them, and Qin Ze identified it as an Abyss Puppet in its complete form.

  • Qin Ze called for the Goddess of Life on the beach, but received no answer, while his clones ran around and tried to repair the Flying Circus Man.
  • Zi Yue sensed a familiar scent coming from the island’s central mountain, so Qin Ze left the sailors behind and followed her there with the Five Heavenly Kings and Zi Liangchen.
  • Qin Ze asked why Zi Yue had not returned the crystal ball to her people first, and she said she wanted to prove herself.
  • The group felt the mountain shake as a huge six-winged goshawk rose from the summit and unleashed a fierce wind.
  • Qin Ze recognized the goshawk as an Abyss Puppet in its complete form, not an exotic beast.

Ch. 429The Spirit Tree and the Relic

Qin Ze and Zi Yue discovered a Spirit Tree and a World Overlord's Relic in the goddess's temple, but Zi Yue insisted the Relic had to be destroyed. An explosion outside interrupted them as Dharma King was sent flying into the temple.

  • A six-winged eagle attacked Qin Ze and his companions, but Qin Ze used his Divine Markings to command it to fly away.
  • Qin Ze, Zi Yue, and Zi Liangchen reached a vine-covered temple on the summit and entered while the five Heavenly Kings remained outside.
  • Inside, Qin Ze recognized a black mass trapped in a beam of light as a Relic, while Zi Yue identified the towering tree behind it as a Spirit Tree.
  • Zi Yue explained that the Spirit Tree was withering and promised Qin Ze one bottle of its essence each month; Qin Ze made her sign a contract.
  • Zi Yue ordered the World Overlord's Relic destroyed, but an explosion outside interrupted them and sent Dharma King flying into the temple.

Ch. 430Even an Antique Has Fangs

Qin Ze protected Zi Yue as she began transplanting the Spirit tree, while allies fought the mature blonde and Intellect Clan forces converged on the island. The Flying Circus Man survived a barrage, rammed a steel warship, and sent its masked crew boarding.

  • Qin Ze stopped Zi Yue from purifying the relic and helped her begin transplanting the Spirit tree while he guarded her.
  • The mature blonde overwhelmed Dharma King, and Zi Liangchen drew her outside the temple to buy time.
  • Two Intellect Clan flying ships arrived, and the red-eyed Night Clan man and the cyborg headed into the fight and toward the temple.
  • The Intellect Clan captain ordered his guns to fire on the Flying Circus Man, but its shield held as it charged through the barrage.
  • The Flying Circus Man rammed a steel flying ship, hooked the vessels together, and its masked crew leaped aboard.

Ch. 431A Lesson in Boarding

The Circus launched a boarding attack on the soldiers’ ship, while the acting captain used Entropy Stones to destroy the enemy reinforcements. Inside the temple, the red-eyed man struck Giant Overlord and left him bleeding on the ground.

  • The Self-Destruct Squad and the Circus boarded the soldiers’ ship, scattering their ranks and forcing the captain to call in a second ship.
  • The acting captain ordered most of the Entropy Stones loaded onto the gun decks despite Captain Hook’s protests.
  • The Flying Circus Man fired two volleys of Entropy Stones, breaking the second ship’s shield and sending it crashing down.
  • The red-eyed man appeared from Giant Overlord’s shadow, cut his neck, and vanished back into the shadow.
  • Giant Overlord clutched his bleeding wound and fell to the ground.

Ch. 432A Master's Solo Dance

Qin Ze and the Dharma King kept the red-eyed man busy while Zi Yue continued healing, then Qin Ze stood to face the cyborg as the enemy launched a barrage at him. The chapter ended with Qin Ze promising Zi Yue a master's solo dance.

  • Zi Yue moved to treat Giant Overlord, but Qin Ze stopped her so she could keep using the Light of Life.
  • The Dharma King attacked the red-eyed man, who used shadows to evade and threatened the group.
  • Qin Ze exposed the red-eyed man with a mental-power dragon, while the Dharma King and Giant Overlord baited him into a bone-club strike and chased him outside.
  • The cyborg entered the temple and inspected its totems, the Relic, and the Tree of Life.
  • Qin Ze refused to leave without his shipmates and confronted the Level Eight cyborg, who fired a barrage at him.
  • Qin Ze asked whether Zi Yue trusted him, then announced that she could enjoy a master's solo dance.

Ch. 433Caught Off Guard

Qin Ze fought the cyborg while protecting Zi Yue and the Spirit Tree, using the six-winged goshawk as an Abyss Puppet to help turn the battle outside the temple. The cyborg unleashed his complete form, but Qin Ze’s blood-red-marked bone sword finally pierced him and pinned him to the ground.

  • The cyborg attacked Qin Ze and Zi Yue, but Qin Ze emerged from the blasts with increased strength and confronted him.
  • The cyborg overpowered Qin Ze’s Blue Flame Release and offered to spare him if he surrendered and accepted him as master.
  • The six-winged goshawk attacked the cyborg outside the temple, and he recognized it as a powerful Abyss Puppet with rapid regeneration.
  • Qin Ze and the goshawk coordinated their attacks, but the cyborg unleashed his complete form and shattered the goshawk’s wing.
  • The cyborg split the goshawk in two and nearly struck Qin Ze down, but Qin Ze’s blood-red-marked bone sword shattered his shield and pinned him to the ground.

Ch. 434The World Collapses

Qin Ze killed the cyborg and helped Zi Yue save the Spirit Tree, but the world began collapsing before they could purify the Relic. As Qin Ze tried to escape, the cyborg appeared alive and trapped him.

  • Qin Ze used Desolate God Power to cut down the cyborg, then hacked his body apart to make sure he was dead.
  • The red-eyed man fled, while the Intellect Clan's steel flying boat crashed and the mature blonde woman rushed toward the Spirit Tree and Relic.
  • Qin Ze protected Zi Yue from the woman's attack, and Zi Yue stored the intact Spirit Tree as the temple was reduced to ruins.
  • The world began collapsing, forcing Zi Liangchen and the others to flee while leaving the Relic behind.
  • Silver bugs devoured Zi Liangchen's spatial gate after Qin Ze shoved Zi Yue through it, and the supposedly dead cyborg spoke from behind Qin Ze.

Ch. 435Apostle of the God of Machinery

Qin Ze faced the cyborg, who revealed himself as the Apostle of the God of Machinery and transformed into a giant mech. After absorbing the Relic and strengthening his Desolate God Bloodline, Qin Ze fought back, but the headless mech broke through his defenses and struck at his head.

  • Qin Ze refused to let the Flying Circus Man turn back and told the Dharma King to keep heading for the exit.
  • The cyborg identified Qin Ze as the Apostle of the Desolate God and revealed that he served the God of Machinery.
  • The cyborg transformed into a giant mech, and Qin Ze activated his Desolate God Bloodline and Beast Transformation.
  • Qin Ze slashed the cyborg's head off, then absorbed the Relic while the cyborg allowed him to do so.
  • The headless mech fired a powerful energy blast, shattered Qin Ze's Black Tortoise Shield, and brought its broadsword down toward his head.

Ch. 436Impure World Reincarnation

Qin Ze fought the headless mech, but the Six-Winged Goshawk’s intervention revealed that the God of Machinery had returned through the mech’s body. The God of Machinery tried to recruit and question Qin Ze, then restrained him, while Qin Ze prepared to resist with a hidden advantage.

  • Qin Ze blocked the headless mech’s broadsword and counterattacked with his fists, flames, and lightning as it urged him to join the Intelligent Brain.
  • Azure Dragon Meditation cleared Qin Ze’s mind, and the Six-Winged Goshawk blasted the mech while Qin Ze struck it with the alloy broadsword.
  • The mech used mechanical arms to crush the Six-Winged Goshawk, destroying the Abyss Puppet, then repaired itself with silver insects.
  • The God of Machinery revealed that it had returned through the mech and tried to persuade Qin Ze to join it, warning him about the Desolate God’s power.
  • The God of Machinery restrained Qin Ze with six mechanical arms and demanded to know where he got the Desolate God’s power, but Qin Ze hinted that he had more arms.

Ch. 437Trading Bases

Qin Ze escaped the God of Machinery’s spiritual attack by entering the Intelligent Brain’s network and stealing spiritual power from its members. As the island collapsed into the beast tide and annihilating space, Qin Ze waited for Super Teleportation to finish while a gigantic face appeared beneath the inverted sea.

  • The God of Machinery restrained Qin Ze and invaded his sea of consciousness, threatening to destroy his spiritual power.
  • Qin Ze followed the invading force into the Intelligent Brain’s spiritual network, where he read memories and devoured spiritual power from its red threads.
  • The God of Machinery expelled Qin Ze from the network, but Qin Ze’s sea of consciousness recovered and his spiritual power grew stronger.
  • Qin Ze activated Super Teleportation as the island split apart, the beast tide surged in, and collapsing space began annihilating everything it touched.
  • Qin Ze fought off the beasts while waiting for teleportation, then the dragon shielded him from a spiritual shock as a gigantic human face appeared beneath the sea.

Ch. 438S-Class Ghost Type

Yao Yuan left the front lines for the Hall of Stars after sensing an attempted teleport, while Qin Ze was trapped by the God of Machinery in the collapsing world. The S-class Ghost Type broke into the mech’s enclosed space, turning their fight into a three-way confrontation.

  • Yao Yuan told the Zither Woman that Tides would become more frequent, then opened a spatial gate and left for the Hall of Stars.
  • The S-class Ghost Type unleashed its mental attack as the island shattered and the world’s rules collapsed around Qin Ze and the mech.
  • The God of Machinery trapped Qin Ze inside a sealed space of gears and drove a spike into his chest to absorb his power.
  • The Ghost Type forced its way through the gear wall and entered the confined space, its shriek disorienting Qin Ze and the mech.

Ch. 439Successfully Slew a God

Qin Ze destroyed the God of Machinery’s mecha and escaped the collapsing darkness with the Stars Card, then Super Teleportation carried him away. Yao Yuan confirmed the teleportation worked but wondered why Qin Ze had not returned to the Hall of Stars, while Qin Ze arrived somewhere unknown.

  • Qin Ze broke the spike in his chest, helped the Ghost Type possess the mecha, and split the mecha’s upper body with his white bone sword.
  • As darkness erased the collapsing gear space, Qin Ze’s Stars Card protected him; he destroyed the weakened Ghost Type and seized its Soul Orb.
  • Qin Ze punched through the remaining mecha, collected the golden gear it left behind, and heard the God of Machinery say they would meet again.
  • A mysterious voice called to Qin Ze, but the Stars Card activated Super Teleportation and whisked him away.
  • Yao Yuan saw Qin Ze’s star shining in the Hall of Stars and realized the teleportation had worked, though Qin Ze had not returned there.
  • Qin Ze recovered from the disorienting journey, regained his vision, and wondered where he had arrived.

Ch. 440Fantastic Beasts

After Qin Ze was separated from Zi Yue and Zi Liangchen, he found himself trapped in a strange forest filled with fantastic beasts. He spent the night in a hollow tree, where he killed a little white rabbit with a thrown dagger.

  • Zi Liangchen encouraged Zi Yue to stop blaming herself, and she agreed to return to the priest and prove herself.
  • Qin Ze discovered he had been sent to an unknown world and told his clones to return to Penglai City while he searched for the Gate of the Abyss.
  • Qin Ze decided to save the golden gear Relic for later and found an invisible force field prevented him from flying above the forest.
  • Qin Ze chased a teleporting deer and encountered several kinds of fantastic beasts, all of which fled when they saw him.
  • Qin Ze sheltered in a hollow tree after dark, then threw his dagger at a white rabbit as it tried to run away.

Ch. 441Divine Tree's Sowing Day

Qin Ze discovered that the rabbits in the forest could regenerate from almost nothing and that one could communicate with him telepathically. He learned that the Divine Tree would scatter seeds the next day, and arranged for the rabbit to take him there in hopes of finding a way out of the forest.

  • Qin Ze killed and roasted a rabbit, then noticed its bones had vanished after he ate it.
  • Qin Ze watched the bones reassemble into a rabbit and learned that it could regenerate as long as any part of its body remained.
  • Qin Ze dissected the rabbit, but found no Soul Orb, qi sea, or signs of cultivation that explained its ability.
  • Qin Ze questioned the rabbit about the forest and learned that it knew little about the world or its origins.
  • Qin Ze learned that the Divine Tree created the forest's magical animals and would scatter seeds the next day, and he ordered the rabbit to take him there.

Ch. 442A Twist of Fate

Qin Ze witnessed the Divine Tree scatter world seeds and realized the forest might be the Land of Origin, the starting point of all life. After the scattering, he touched the Divine Tree and heard it begin to call him “God...” before the voice abruptly stopped.

  • Qin Ze asked the rabbit about Scattering Day and followed it to the Divine Tree, where magical animals gathered in peace.
  • As sunlight appeared, the Divine Tree scattered clusters of starlight, and Qin Ze touched one, seeing visions of a world’s creation and civilization.
  • Qin Ze deduced that the star clusters were world seeds and the magical animals embodied ability rules, but the starlight refused to carry him out of the forest.
  • Qin Ze touched the Divine Tree, heard it address him as “God...” before its voice cut off, and asked the rabbit whether it had seen other two-legged creatures like him.

Ch. 443The Forbidden Zone and the Guardian Knight

Qin Ze followed the rabbit into the forbidden zone to find the sleeping two-legged beast, whom he believed was the Goddess of Life. After evading the centaur knight’s pursuit, Qin Ze revealed his Divine Markings and the knight stopped attacking, then motioned for him to follow.

  • The rabbit led Qin Ze across the river into the forbidden zone and warned him about the powerful four-legged beast guarding it.
  • Qin Ze and the rabbit fled through the forest when the centaur knight pursued them, using the rabbit’s remembered route to escape.
  • The centaur knight descended in front of Qin Ze and revealed himself as a level-nine guardian with an aura resembling the Abyss Puppets.
  • Qin Ze showed the knight his Divine Markings, causing the knight’s killing intent to fade, though Qin Ze could not command or communicate with him.
  • The centaur knight saluted Qin Ze and walked into the forest, gesturing for him to follow.

Ch. 444Sleeping Goddess

Qin Ze followed a centaur knight to a sealed temple and found the Goddess of Life asleep inside a Desolate God-made barrier. After a voice claiming to be the goddess tried to persuade him to open it, Qin Ze resisted, and the rabbit in his arms was crushed into bloody mist.

  • The centaur knight led Qin Ze and the rabbit through a hidden forest path to an ancient temple, then signaled Qin Ze to enter alone.
  • Qin Ze opened the temple doors with the power of his Desolate God Bloodline and saw the sleeping Goddess of Life enclosed in a bubble.
  • Qin Ze discovered that the bubble was made by the Desolate God and could be opened using his bloodline, but he recalled the Divine Tree's warning not to answer.
  • A gentle voice claiming to be the Goddess of Life urged Qin Ze to open the bubble and promised to answer his questions, bless him, and help him become a god.
  • Qin Ze resisted the voice and challenged it to free itself, then a fierce wind swept through the temple and the rabbit in his hands was crushed into bloody mist.

Ch. 445The Divine Tree's Seed

Qin Ze confronted the rabbit, who revealed it was a fragment of power from a sealed god and tried to persuade him to undo the seal. As the Goddess of Life sent Qin Ze away, the Divine Tree gave him a seed of the Desolate God's power.

  • Qin Ze deduced that the rabbit was the Goddess of Life in disguise and questioned why the Desolate God had sealed it.
  • The rabbit offered Qin Ze godhood if he opened the final layer of the seal, but the Divine Tree tried to warn him before the rabbit silenced it.
  • Qin Ze refused to open the seal and grabbed the rabbit, while the centaur knight defended the temple from a swarm of magical animals.
  • The Goddess of Life glowed and summoned a pillar of light that began sending Qin Ze away.
  • The rabbit called Qin Ze its most outstanding child, and the Divine Tree urged him to accept the Desolate God's power as a green seed entered his chest.

Ch. 446A New God Is Born

Qin Ze's seed transformed his Desolate God Power and bloodline, forming a new Divinity without the Star Gate. After returning to the Abyss, he identified Torch City and headed toward Penglai City.

  • A seed took root in Qin Ze, refined his Desolate God Power, and spread golden Divine Markings across his body.
  • The Divine Tree told Qin Ze that a Divinity had formed and urged him to become a god and see her again, before the pillar of light took him away.
  • The rabbit revealed that it intended to wait until Qin Ze reached level nine and then offer to help him become a god for a price.
  • Zi Yue recognized the golden vortex above the Abyss as the phenomenon of a new Divinity forming, while four mysterious phantoms concluded it had come from the Land of Origin and agreed to visit the Spirit Clan.
  • Qin Ze returned to the Abyss, spotted Torch City, and raced toward Penglai City.

Ch. 447New Diary Entries

While traveling toward Penglai City, Qin Ze strengthened his new Divine Vein and read Old Huang’s Chronicle of Time, uncovering the spread of a dangerous contamination across worlds. The diary ended with Old Huang fearing a great crisis would soon threaten the Land of the Gods.

  • Qin Ze rode an Abyss Puppet toward Penglai City and learned from Brother Yuanzi that the Otherworld had not opened yet.
  • Qin Ze absorbed the Apostle of the God of Machinery’s Relic, raising his new Divine Vein’s progress to about forty-five percent.
  • Qin Ze read Old Huang’s diary entries about serving the Goddess of Life and traveling through different worlds.
  • Qin Ze discovered that contamination had spread to a world where anomalous spirit entities had killed every living thing.
  • Old Huang recorded that the Goddess of Life subdued the source of the contamination and planted a Spirit Tree to stabilize the world, then predicted a great crisis for the Land of the Gods.

Ch. 448A Beast Becomes a God

Qin Ze read the Desolate God's diary and learned that pollution originated in New Land and that a strange beast had passed through the Star Gate to become a god. The diary ended before revealing how the Desolate God planned to stop the beasts, leaving Qin Ze to suspect he had destroyed the Star Gate.

  • Qin Ze read that pollution had spread from New Land into the Land of the Gods, while the Goddess of Life and other gods initially ignored it.
  • Qin Ze discovered that the gods later tried to confront the pollution, but the Goddess of Life shut herself away.
  • Qin Ze read that a strange beast passed the Star Gate's trial, became a god, killed the minotaur, and escaped the gods' attack.
  • Qin Ze inferred that the Desolate God had destroyed the Star Gate to prevent more beasts from becoming gods, but wondered why the Desolate God's Source of God was inside a Star Gate Fragment.
  • Qin Ze put away the Chronicle of Time and saw Penglai City in the distance.

Ch. 449Captain Hook Evolves

Captain Hook absorbed an S-rank Ghost Type Soul Orb and became Ghost Captain, then set off with Vice Captain Paopao to hunt in the Abyss. Qin Ze returned to Snow City, where he waited for the Otherworld to open and arranged to get a Martial Artifact staff for Fatty.

  • Qin Ze gave Captain Hook the S-rank Ghost Type Soul Orb, and Captain Hook evolved into Ghost Captain with abilities including physical immunity, possession, and mass control.
  • Qin Ze gave the acting captain a Hunting Beast Soul Orb and supplied Ghost Captain with looted Soul Orbs and Martial Artifacts for his crew.
  • Qin Ze escorted Ghost Captain and the clones aboard the Flying Circus Man back to Penglai City, and the ship set off toward the Abyss, crashing through a hill on the way.
  • Qin Ze returned to Snow City, messaged Brother Yuanzi that he had arrived, and waited for the Otherworld to open.
  • Qin Ze contacted Slacking on the Sidelines as Beast Tamer and arranged to obtain a Martial Artifact staff for Fatty.
  • Passerby A appeared in the chat group and said they thought they knew the identity of the new Hunter.

Ch. 450Leo Breaks Free

Qin Ze learned that Wang Biao was the final Hunter and that his own key was a unique little tree, then heard that Leo had escaped and was heading for the Abyss. At the bar, Slacking on the Sidelines gave Qin Ze a cane from the Moon Clan’s Martial Artifact armory, just as three armed men entered.

  • Passerby A revealed that Wang Biao was the final Hunter and had a leaf-shaped key, while Qin Ze realized his own little tree key was different from everyone else’s.
  • Passerby A said Wang Biao had heard a summons, and Catch a Fox Spirit identified it as the coming trial Otherworld.
  • Yao Yuan reported that Leo had broken free after someone opened his cell and warned people in Snow City that Leo was heading to the Abyss entrance.
  • Qin Ze met Slacking on the Sidelines at the bar, where Slacking handed him a sturdy cane from the Moon Clan’s Martial Artifact armory for Fatty.
  • Three fully armed men entered the bar and drew everyone’s attention.
