The party finally ended at 11 p. m.
Luca pretended to be unsteady on his feet, leaning most of his body against Jessica.
The two slowly walked out of the clubhouse.
A night breeze blew, and feeling Luca's weight, Jessica was somewhat speechless.
Even though she herself is a superpowered individual, why does Luca still feel so heavy to her?
at this time.
A black Rolls-Royce was already parked at the bottom of the steps.
Happy Hogun, wearing sunglasses, stood by the car door, dutifully playing the role of bodyguard.
Luca released his grip on Jessica's waist and stood up straight.
Then he reached out and tidied Jessica's wind-blown hair, his movements light and natural.
"Well done, Miss Jones. Your performance tonight perfectly meets my expectations for an assistant."
Jessica took a deep breath and forced a smile.
"Thank you for the compliment, boss. It's what I should do."
"Very good, keep that attitude."
Luca walked to the car door, one foot already inside, then suddenly stopped and looked back at her.
"Oh, and dress a little sexier for work tomorrow."
Jessica paused, not understanding what she meant.
"What?"
"For example, black lace, or a leopard-print bodycon skirt or something."
Luca looked her up and down, then curled his lip.
"I'm sick of this dress. Stark Industries ' aesthetic standards need constant updating, understand?"
After saying that, he got into the car without waiting for Jessica's reply.
The car door slammed shut.
The Rolls-Royce sped into the night.
Jessica's smile vanished instantly.
She stared intently at the taillights, her fists clenched so tightly they cracked.
Black lace? Leopard print pencil skirt?!
That scumbag! A pervert! A disgrace to capitalism!
What does he take Stark Industries for? A nightclub?!
Jessica mentally tore Luca to pieces a hundred times, then turned and walked toward a dark alley on the street corner.
After confirming that no one was around, she pulled out a communicator, about the size of a lighter, from a hidden compartment in her handbag.
I pressed the button and waited a few seconds.
"Reporting on the situation, Spider-Woman."
The contact's deep voice came through the communicator.
"A major breakthrough has been achieved."
Jessica lowered her voice, her tone filled with barely concealed excitement.
"I've found Luca Stark and Tony Stark's fatal weaknesses."
There was a brief silence on the other end of the communicator, followed by rapid breathing.
"Explain!"
" Luca's abilities are entirely dependent on solar energy. His power diminishes significantly on cloudy or rainy days, or when he's subjected to a war of attrition at night. He himself admitted that he can't even open a water bottle cap at night."
"That's fantastic!" the contact person exclaimed excitedly.
"I knew it! There's no such thing as a monster without weaknesses in this world! What about Tony Stark?"
"The armor's backup power core is hidden in a safe in the underground garage of the Malibu villa. The password is 0529. If the core is taken, the armor will be unusable after less than half an hour of flight."
Jessica paused, then asked, "Should I sneak into the villa tonight and test that safe?"
"No, don't move yet." The contact immediately rejected the suggestion.
" The Stark brothers are in the global spotlight right now, so the villa's security system must be very tight. If we act rashly and alert them, it could ruin everything."
"Your current task is to continue infiltrating his inner circle. Spend the next two days gathering intelligence, checking for any details we might have overlooked. Once the organization has a well-thought-out plan, we'll strike decisively."
"Clear."
"Well done, Spider-Woman. Hail Hydra!"
" Hail Hydra!"
Jessica cut off the communication and hid the equipment again.
I walked out of the alley and breathed a long sigh of relief.
The mission was progressing smoothly, which put her in a great mood.
However, the thought of what would happen tomorrow morning made her frown again.
Should I do what that scumbag Luca asks for?
If I don't do as he says, he'll definitely threaten to fire me again.
But wearing a leopard-print pencil skirt to work?
Good heavens, she's a legitimate secret agent!
"Damn Luca Stark, one day I'll shove your high heels down your throat!"
Jessica cursed under her breath as she hailed a taxi.
On the other side.
The Rolls-Royce drove smoothly through the streets of Los Angeles.
Inside the train carriage.
One second Luca was still dazed and drunk, the next he was sitting with his legs crossed, his eyes clear.
Happy glanced in the rearview mirror and couldn't help but complain.
"Sir, the way you pretended to be drunk just now was exactly like Mr. Tony's. To be honest, did everyone in the Stark family go to Hollywood to study acting?"
"Don't compare me to that old man Tony." Luca rolled his eyes.
"He was genuinely drunk, I was just tactically tipsy. That's called intellectual superiority, you know?"
After saying that, Luca took out his phone and sent Tony a text message.
[I've already spread the word about the safe trap. Remember to fill the spray tank, and maybe add some pepper too.]
Tony's reply popped up in less than ten seconds.
[Fuck. Don't joke around with the lab. I'm working on New Element permutation model my dad left behind. If you send another one of these pointless texts, I'm taking apart your limited-edition sports car and turning it into a toilet.]
Luca stared at the screen and couldn't help but chuckle mischievously.
He could picture Tony with his messy hair, sipping coffee and grumbling.
" Happy, turn around at the next intersection and go to xxx University," Luca instructed, putting away his phone.
"Go to school?" Happy paused for a moment, then teased.
"What are you doing at school so late? Are you planning to go back and retake university physics?"
"No, I'm going to pick up a girl." Luca gazed at the night view outside the window, his tone relaxed.
In the afternoon, he specifically checked and found that Gwen Stacy was helping the professor organize data in the school lab today and wouldn't be out until very late.
Since the goal is to create a relatable and charming superhero character...
Therefore, it would be perfectly reasonable to develop a relationship with Spider-Man while doing so.
Picking her up for a late-night snack would be perfect.
