The metal fragments beneath Erik's feet skimmed across the ground.

He controlled the magnetic field with one hand and supported Charles with the other, pushing his speed to the limit. Scattered guns and shrapnel rose up along the way, forming layers of barriers behind the two.

These things definitely can't stop Chen Mo.

But if they could gain even one more second, they would have a chance to retreat back to the Soviet lines.

Charles was pale, his fingers pressed against his temples. He could feel Chen Mo's consciousness behind him, but dared not touch it again. That chaotic and massive wave of consciousness had already left a wound in his mind.

Has he caught up?

"Not yet."

Erik didn't turn around; the threat pointing from behind him was clear enough that he didn't need to look back to confirm the danger.

Chen Mo remained standing in the same spot.

"What is that guy waiting for?"

"I don't know, but he'd better keep waiting."

Erik pursed his lips.

That guy just devoured Siegfried; there's no way he'd suddenly give up the chase. The fact that he stopped there can only mean that something new has happened on the battlefield.

The next second, the space in the distance suddenly distorted.

Chen Mo raised his head.

Several unfamiliar supernatural energy fluctuations suddenly entered his perception range, one of which spanned tens of kilometers and appeared directly above the battlefield.

Dark red smoke exploded with a roar.

From the smoke, a long, thin tail flicked out first, followed by an arm covered in red skin. A man with pointed ears and fangs fell from mid-air, his military boots sinking into the scorched earth.

He was also carrying a woman in his arms.

After landing, the woman straightened her white fur coat. Her long golden hair cascaded over her shoulders, making her stand out starkly against the muddy and shattered battlefield around her.

Azazel Azazel.

The White Queen, Emma Frost Thaddeus Ross.

These two names quickly came to mind for Siegfried.

Chen Mo raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Are food delivery services this fast these days?"

Azazel ignored him and grabbed two modified soldiers beside him. Dark red smoke flashed continuously, and six figures appeared on the battlefield one after another.

These people have similar builds to ordinary cyborgs, but they lack the gold and blue markings on their bodies. Each of them has a piece of black metal embedded in the back of their neck, with the words "Hellfire Club " engraved on its surface.

A tall man landed and immediately raised his arms.

The soil beneath his feet quickly rose up, layer upon layer, forming a thick earthen wall that blocked Chen Mo's pursuit of Erik and Charles.

Another person pressed down on the earthen wall, and a grayish-white substance spread from their palm, instantly solidifying the loose soil into hard rock.

Azazel drew his short sword from his waist, a dark red glint flashing in his eyes.

Where is Siegfried?

He was asking about the German troops nearby.

An officer crouched behind a bunker, his gaze passing over Azazel and landing on Chen Mo. His lips moved, but he managed to utter only one sentence.

"Lord Siegfried... he ate him."

Azazel turned to look at the battlefield.

The German positions had been torn in two, and the bodies of the cyborgs were scattered everywhere. Several trenches had completely collapsed, and in the distance, there was a hillside that was now only half standing.

They arrived on time, less than three minutes late.

What can happen in three minutes?

According to the intelligence provided by the Black King, Siegfried was capable of suppressing the Soviet positions on his own. Once they arrived, all they needed to do was hold off Charles and the prisoner of war, and the outcome would be a foregone conclusion.

But Siegfried is no longer here.

Emma Frost's gaze swept across the trenches.

The soldiers gripped their guns, but all turned back. No one looked at her, nor did anyone pay attention to the reinforcements who had just arrived; everyone's attention was focused on the young man in black and red armor.

"It was him?"

"It should be."

Azazel's tail slowly straightened.

The Black King never mentioned this person.

The opponent seemed to have appeared out of thin air on the battlefield, and within minutes he had defeated Siegfried.

"Who are you?" Emma Frost asked.

"I'm just a passerby."

Chen Mo glanced at her white coat. "Just a heads-up, wearing this color to the trenches will make you an easy target."

Emma Frost didn't respond.

An invisible spiritual force quietly extends forward.

She didn't directly invade Chen Mo's brain, but only probed from the outside. But as soon as her mental energy touched him, a sharp pain traveled back through his consciousness.

Countless voices rang in my ears at the same time.

Wailing, roaring, pleading, and some kind of sticky sound that kept devouring flesh and blood mingled together into an indistinguishable cacophony.

Emma Frost immediately disconnected, her fingertips turning slightly white.

Charles and Erik exchanged a glance. Erik sped away, while Charles turned back and shouted, "Get away from that guy!"

"What did he say?" Azazel asked.

Let's stay away from this person.

"When did that kid become so kind?"

"Start with him running far enough."

Azazel looked at Chen Mo, the dark red smoke around his feet gradually thickening.

The Black King's mission for them was to support Siegfried, defeat the main Soviet force, and bring Charles and Erik back. Now that Siegfried's whereabouts were unknown and both targets were withdrawing, they couldn't do nothing.

"Grab him."

Azazel lowered his voice, "I'm going to find Siegfried."

The Mutants- modified soldiers immediately dispersed.

The man manipulating the mud moved to the left, his hands remaining firmly on the ground. Another short woman stepped back, her pupils turning silvery-white, and began searching for any remaining energy in the surroundings.

Emma Frost stood in the center, and crystalline edges gradually emerged on the surface of her skin.

Chen Mo did not stop them.

He glanced back.

Erik had already led Charles back nearly a kilometer, leaving only a few pieces of floating metal visible. Given a little more time, they could penetrate the Soviet defenses.

Catching up with them wouldn't be difficult, but this group of people is clearly a better lead.

Siegfried only remembered the location of the outer outposts of the Hellfire Club; the true core base was always moved by Azazel. The Black King rarely stayed in the same place, and he would always clear the area before meeting Siegfried.

This red-skinned guy in front of me probably knows more.

As for the others...

Chen Mo's gaze swept over the modified soldiers one by one.

Their abilities to control earth and rocks, enhance matter, and sense energy are not particularly strong, but the devices on the back of their necks connect their mutant abilities with modification technology.

This technology is more valuable than the people themselves.

Chen Mo looked away.

Erik and Charles can be found later. As long as they are still in this war, they can't hide forever.

On the contrary, since the clues were provided by the Hellfire Club, there was no reason to let them go.

"Found it!"

The silver-eyed woman behind them suddenly spoke.

She pressed her hands to her temples, her expression growing increasingly confused.

"There's residual Siegfried energy here, and it's very strong. He just used Core Overload; the energy should be scattered around."

Azazel asked, "Where is he?"

The woman with silver eyes slowly turned around.

Her gaze swept over the craters, corpses, and shattered armor on the battlefield, finally settling on Chen Mo.

"The homology reaction is in his body."

Azazel gripped his short knife tightly.

Emma Frost's Diamond Form accelerated suddenly, the crystalline texture covering her neck and cheeks. The other modified soldiers also turned towards Chen Mo at the same time, their previously scattered positions quickly transforming into an encirclement formation.

Chen Mo looked down at his hands.

A wisp of golden-blue energy emerged from his palm, flowing slowly along his five fingers. It had just been dismantled by the Blacklight Virus and still retained Siegfried's most distinctive energy characteristics.

Azazel stared at the light, the tip of his tail hovering in mid-air.

What did you do to him?

Chen Mo raised his hand and smiled at the group.

"Don't bother looking, he just finished eating, it's your turn now."
