Chen Mo moved his right foot away.
Emma Frost pushed herself up from the mud with her hands. She didn't rush to wipe her face, but simply lowered her head and knelt quietly in front of Chen Mo.
I will prove my worth.
After saying that, she bent down and gently kissed Chen Mo's mud-covered boots.
Chen Mo looked down at her.
"Does your club require this kind of etiquette for new employees?"
"Only for you, my master."
Emma Frost answered very naturally, as if she hadn't been the one who had just been trampled into the mud.
They are flexible and adaptable, and have thick skin.
Chen Mo suddenly realized that this woman was indeed someone he could use to amuse himself.
Emma Frost straightened up and said cautiously, "However, Master, Azazel is dead. Without his teleportation ability, it will take me some time to return to the club."
"How long?"
"At least two days."
She paused for a moment, "Moreover, this operation resulted in the loss of Siegfried and all his entourage. If I return alone, I will certainly face impeachment from the other members. To regain control of the club, I need to explain everything that happened here first."
Chen Mo pursed his lips.
"Ultimately, it's just a lack of manpower?"
"Yes."
Emma Frost lowered her head. "If Master would be willing to give me any help..."
"OK."
Chen Mo raised his right hand, his five fingers spread out casually.
Black and red blood vessels gushed from his palm, spreading rapidly around him. Amidst the churning of flesh and blood, figures emerged from within.
Azazel flicked his long, thin tail and stood to Chen Mo's left.
The silver-eyed woman, the man who controlled the earth and rocks, and the modified soldiers who had just died in battle also appeared one after another on the muddy ground.
They had no wounds, and their breath was exactly the same as when they were alive.
Even the mud on his clothes and the metal device behind his neck were indistinguishable.
Emma Frost's calm expression vanished instantly.
She stared at the resurrected Azazel, her pupils contracting little by little.
These people are clearly dead.
Some of them were swallowed by Chen Mo right in front of her, but now, they are all standing here, even retaining their original abilities.
Emma Frost suddenly remembered the way Chen Mo had looked at her earlier.
That wasn't about whether or not to keep her.
That guy was thinking of eating her and then creating a cloning of an obedient one!
Thinking of this, Emma Frost felt a chill run down her spine.
For the first time, she truly realized that death might not be the worst outcome.
Chen Mo glanced at her.
You guessed right.
Emma Frost froze.
"Can you hear what I'm thinking?"
"Able."
Chen Mo pointed at her face, "You think your pathetic Mind Stone abilities can stop me? Go back and practice some more."
Emma Frost pursed her lips, trying her best to clear her mind.
Chen Mo then looked at Azazel beside him.
"Take her back."
"Clear."
Azazel bowed slightly, his movements exactly as he remembered.
Emma Frost felt a chill run down her spine.
She couldn't even tell whether the thing in front of her was actually Azazel.
"Don't just stand there, get to work!"
Chen Mo patted Emma Frost on the shoulder, "Take over all the club's money, connections, and labs. Pay close attention to the experimental data. Also, find a way to gather the remaining cyborgs and Mutants from the German army together."
"Master, why are we gathering them together?"
Emma Frost regretted asking the question as soon as she did.
Chen Mo looked at her strangely.
"When you go to a restaurant to order food, do you have to ask the chef what the ingredients are for?"
"Need not."
Emma Frost quickly changed her tune, "I'll arrange it as soon as possible."
That's right.
Chen Mo nodded in satisfaction. "Do a good job. As long as you're valuable, I generally don't take advantage of my own people."
Emma Frost forced a smile.
This guarantee is hardly reassuring.
Azazel reached out and put his hand on her shoulder, and the other clones followed suit. Dark red smoke rose, and several figures disappeared from the battlefield at the same time.
All that remained was a scene of utter devastation.
Chen Mo sensed the direction they had left in, then turned to look at the city.
The Soviet troops are retreating.
Inside the city.
Several soldiers stormed into the command post and stuffed all the maps and documents on the wall into iron boxes. Equipment that couldn't be taken with them was doused with fuel, and the radio was smashed.
The streets were packed with troop carriers.
The wounded were loaded onto trucks first, while the remaining soldiers carried their weapons and advanced on foot. Several tanks were parked by the roadside, where maintenance personnel removed usable parts and then stuffed explosives under the vehicles.
Explosions rang out one after another.
Black smoke rose into the sky from all parts of the city.
Chen Mo stood on the roof of a dilapidated building, quietly watching the crowd below.
He originally just wanted to come and take a look.
The main German forces had been defeated, and Siegfried had become his nourishment. It was not surprising that the Soviet army abandoned the area, but their swift withdrawal was somewhat unexpected.
It seems I didn't make a very good impression on them just now.
Chen Mo stroked his chin.
Should we go down and explain?
never mind.
He felt that if he went down now, the retreat would only be faster.
Just then, the roar of an engine came from afar.
A military motorcycle sped out from the end of the street, dodging the crowd, and quickly headed towards Chen Mo's location.
"Huh? How did this guy find me?"
The motorcyclist was wearing a Soviet military uniform, and his long, silver-white hair peeked out from behind his helmet, fluttering in the wind.
The motorcycle braked suddenly and came to a stop below the building.
Yelena took off her goggles and looked up at the roof.
"I am coming!"
Upon hearing the shout, the surrounding soldiers all stopped in their tracks.
Chen Mo jumped off the roof.
Why are you shouting so loudly? I don't owe you any money.
Yelena pushed the motorcycle aside and walked quickly to him. Her military uniform was covered in dust, and there was an untreated wound on the side of her face.
"I heard a black and red monster appeared on the main battlefield."
She looked Chen Mo up and down. "I guessed they were talking about you, so I rushed over."
"Hehehe, watch your word choice."
Chen Mo corrected, "Black and red is fine, but 'monster' is a malicious evaluation."
Yelena did not argue with him.
She stared at Chen Mo for a few seconds, as if checking to see if he was injured.
Siegfried is dead?
"Dead."
Where are the Hellfire Club's reinforcements?
"Some died, and some went back to work."
Yelena didn't understand the second half of the sentence, nor did she ask any further questions.
She took a deep breath and suddenly took a step forward.
"I'm here to fulfill a transaction."
Chen Mo raised an eyebrow.
"I thought you'd run away with the army; after all, I didn't go back to collect debts."
"You saved Ivan, and you saved the men on the front lines."
Yelena raised her head and said earnestly, "I promised you, if you can do these things, I'll be yours."
"Let me correct that."
Chen Mo held up one finger. "I not only saved people, but I also took care of that Battleship Class, and incidentally dealt with a Glory Class as well. Based on the workload, your reward isn't quite enough."
Yelena fell silent.
"Then what else do you want?"
I haven't decided yet.
Chen Mo sized her up. "How about we pay interest on the debt?"
Yelena clearly didn't realize he was talking nonsense.
She reached out and grabbed Chen Mo's collar, stood on tiptoe, and brought her face close to his.
The distance between them quickly closed.
Chen Mo raised his hand, pressed his five fingers against her face, and rudely pushed her aside.
"Wait a minute."
Yelena's face was distorted from his push, and she asked indistinctly, "What's wrong?"
Chen Mo did not answer.
He looked across the street.
Katyusha was walking through the evacuating crowd, heading towards the two of them step by step.
