Emma Frost unfolded the map, her finger hovering over the two fronts, north and south.
She was wearing a long white dress today, with a low neckline. When she bent over, a large expanse of her snow-white skin was directly exposed to Chen Mo's eyes.
"German forces on the western front have broken through two Allies defense zones, while three cyborg units are assembling on the eastern front."
Emma Frost seemed oblivious and moved even closer to him.
"At the current pace of the German advance..."
"Alright."
Chen Mo interrupted her.
Emma Frost froze.
She straightened up without making a sound, tucked her stray blonde hair behind her ear, and kept her face calm.
But deep down, I had some doubts about life.
Previously, if she showed even the slightest interest, those officers and wealthy businessmen would flock to her. Now, she had almost taken off her shirt, but Chen Mo was only looking at the map.
Is this guy even a man?
Chen Mo looked up at her.
Emma Frost, are you cold?
"No."
"What were you shaking just now?"
"Reporting to Master, Emma Frost's legs are a little numb from standing for so long."
Emma Frost answered quickly.
Chen Mo nodded.
"Then sit down and talk, don't hover in front of me. You're blocking Berlin."
Emma Frost was silent for a few seconds, then quietly sat down beside her.
Chen Mo reached out and tapped the center of the map.
"We don't need to worry about these fronts."
"But the German army is advancing at full speed."
Even if they conquer all of Europe, it has nothing to do with me finding Shaw.
Chen Mo looked at Emma Frost, "What I want is the Supreme Class Project and the remaining Blood of Woden. Who occupies which city today, how many soldiers die tomorrow, none of that matters."
Everyone in the conference room kept their heads down, and no one dared to speak.
For them, the Europe competition is crucial to the future of the entire club.
But to Chen Mo, they were just a few crooked arrows on a map.
"Check Berlin first."
Chen Mo tapped the table. "Especially Hitler, has that little mustache made any public appearances lately?"
Emma Frost's eyes changed.
"Master, do you suspect that the Supreme Class Project is in Berlin?"
"It's not a doubt."
Chen Mo said, "Xiao took two samples of Blood of Woden, and the highest experimental department is covering his tracks. Continuing to have you check railway and transportation records is too slow."
Emma Frost did not refute.
Although the club had many people planted in the military, only a few actually had access to top-secret information. The level of secrecy surrounding the Supreme Class Project" was too high; outside personnel simply could not access the core content.
"The situation in Berlin recently is indeed somewhat unusual."
Emma Frost took out a separately stored document and placed it in front of Chen Mo.
Three days ago, the military sealed off three districts in succession, claiming it was to prepare for air raids. However, the liaisons planted by the club discovered that no additional air defense facilities had been added to the sealed-off areas; instead, an Schutzstaffel had been deployed there.
Chen Mo opened the file.
There were no photos inside, only a few personnel transfer records.
"There is also a group of researchers involved in the Supreme Class Project."
Emma Frost continued, "They were taken to the vicinity of the Prime Minister's residence and never came out. Their families have been taken into military custody, and their former residence has been cleared out."
How many people?
"Twenty-seven people have been confirmed so far."
That's quite a lot.
Chen Mo looked at the list, and several of the names happened to appear in the research records of the mining base.
These people were responsible for the purification of Blood of Woden and also participated in Shaw's initial modifications.
Sending them all to Berlin couldn't possibly be for Hitler's medical check-up.
Emma Frost paused for a moment.
"There's one more thing."
"Explain."
"The head of state has recently claimed illness and has declined several public speeches and victory addresses. The military's official explanation is a recurrence of an old injury, but the club's contact person last saw him a month ago."
The conference room fell silent.
The members responsible for military liaison exchanged glances.
Hitler rarely missed public speeches, especially given the continuous victories of the German army; it was even less likely that he would miss them consecutively.
"Claim illness, lock down the city, and then send the researcher to the Prime Minister's office."
Chen Mo closed the file. "Is this guy with the mustache also planning to get some work done?"
Emma Frost frowned.
"Given his status, he might not be willing to undergo such a high-risk transformation."
That's not necessarily true.
Chen Mo leaned back in his chair. "The more afraid of death someone is, the more likely they are to believe they can succeed. Even if hundreds of thousands of people fail, they'll think it's because others are incompetent."
This is like a lottery.
The people in front lost everything, even their pants, but the people behind still thought they could break even.
Whether Hitler accepted the reformation or not is not important.
Importantly, there must be someone in Berlin who knows about the Supreme Class Project.
Chen Mo looked at the Germany region on the map.
"Okay, I won't investigate further."
Emma Frost's heart tightened.
"Master, please give me a little more time."
Why are you nervous?
Chen Mo glanced at her. "I mean, we don't need to investigate from the outside anymore."
He reached for the wine glass on the table, took a sip, and then put it back with a look of disgust.
"I'll take over Germany first. With so many people, someone will surely find out where Shaw is."
The conference room was deathly silent.
Several club members slowly raised their heads, wondering if they had misheard.
What does it mean to take down Germany first?
But since it was this gentleman who said it, perhaps we should hurry up and sell off some Germany government bonds?
Emma Frost had no doubts.
She had just witnessed the man move a mountain from Hamburg to his estate.
If he wanted, he could throw a few more into Berlin, and the war could end today.
When are you planning to leave?
"Now."
Chen Mo stood up and pointed to the west side of the manor.
"You stay here and resume the experiment first. Continue deciphering the remaining contents of the black stone tablet, and organize all the research records. Don't make me go through the archives one by one again."
Emma Frost stood up as well.
"Clear."
"And what about the researchers?"
Chen Mo walked up to her and said, "Those who are willing to work can stay; those who are unwilling can find another body that is willing to work to continue the work."
The Germany researchers standing nearby turned pale.
"Don't worry, we will do our best!"
Chen Mo raised his hand and patted Emma Frost on the shoulder.
"Work hard, or I'll come back and find you still figuring out how to lie on a table."
Emma Frost's expression froze instantly.
He saw it, and this guy clearly knew what he meant!
Chen Mo didn't give her a chance to explain. Dark red smoke rose from his feet and quickly covered his entire body.
"Wait for my news."
The next second, he disappeared from the conference room.
The group remained standing there, and no one spoke for a long time.
The middle-aged man with glasses glanced furtively at Emma Frost.
What did you mean by that last sentence?
The White Queen is leaning on the table; is she looking for something?
Emma Frost slowly turned her head.
"What are you looking at? What did you see?"
The middle-aged man shuddered.
"I'm sorry, White Queen, all I see is you giving a serious report."
And you?
"We are too."
The rest of the people answered in unison.
Emma Frost glanced at the crowd, reverting to her usual cold demeanor as the White Queen.
"Very good."
She picked up the list on the table. "All personnel to the mine. Power must be restored within one hour. Anyone who delays will have Azazel escort them in."
One researcher asked in a low voice, "Where should we send it?"
Emma Frost looked out the window.
Azazel was standing on the edge of the mountain, with a fissure hundreds of meters deep beneath his feet.
You can choose for yourself.
The researcher immediately picked up the documents.
"I suddenly realize that an hour is more than enough, and I can't wait to get started, ma'am!"
Germany, Berlin.
Dark red smoke dissipated high in the sky.
Chen Mo stood below the clouds, looking down at the entire city.
Military vehicles were everywhere on the streets, and several patrol teams were checking pedestrians' identification. Anti-aircraft guns were pointed at the sky, and several cyborgs could be seen patrolling in the distance.
The area around the Prime Minister's Office has been completely sealed off.
Anti-tank cones and sandbags were placed along the outer streets, soldiers set up machine guns, and cyborgs were stationed at every intersection. The windows of nearby buildings were all sealed off, and snipers were positioned on the rooftops.
Chen Mo did not go in directly.
He unleashed his mental power, and an invisible force swept across the ground swiftly.
A large bunker is hidden beneath the Prime Minister's Office.
The passageway extends dozens of meters underground, containing conference rooms, bedrooms, and independent power generation facilities. The outermost perimeter is lined with soldiers, and the closer one gets to the depths, the stronger the guards' energy responses become.
Chen Mo's mental energy continued downwards.
Inside the deepest part of the conference room, a dozen high-ranking military officers sat around a long table.
A man was sitting at the very top.
A small mustache, a side-parted hairstyle, and that face that makes him instantly recognizable.
From his appearance, he looked almost exactly like the Hitler Chen Mo remembered.
But once the mental energy swept across the skin, the problem was immediately exposed.
This person's bone structure is much younger than their appearance, and there are obvious signs of facial muscle manipulation. The bridge of their nose, jaw, and eye sockets have all undergone meticulous surgery.
"Substitute?"
Chen Mo stroked his chin.
He recalled a scene in the comics where Goebbels underwent plastic surgery to become the Führer and took over the administration of Germany.
But this person doesn't seem to be Goebbels either.
Because that old guy was standing right next to us.
Goebbels held a battle report in his hand, reporting on the situation at the front. When several senior officers looked at the person in the lead, their eyes showed only obedience, without the slightest doubt.
What's even more interesting is the bodyguard.
Four Mutants stood in the corner of the conference room, ostensibly to protect the leader, but two of them had their guns subtly pointed at his back.
Others did not notice this detail.
The man in the main seat seemed unaware of this either.
"A fake head of state who has undergone plastic surgery, with bodyguards standing beside him ready to shoot at any moment."
Chen Mo smiled.
"Your meeting was quite informative."
His body gradually became transparent, and his mental power covered the surroundings, completely isolating all sounds and breaths.
The next second, Chen Mo appeared in the underground passage.
Two guards stood by the door, without reacting.
Chen Mo walked through them and followed an officer delivering documents into the deepest part of the building.
Inside the meeting room, Goebbels had just finished his presentation.
"The eastern front troops have requested additional converted soldiers; otherwise, they will be unable to complete their advance before winter."
A general stood up.
"We cannot continue to withdraw troops. Too many modified humans are concentrated on the eastern front, and the soldiers on the western front are already dissatisfied with this."
The man in the main seat raised his head.
"Soldiers only need to follow orders."
"But our army needs an explanation."
"Victory is the explanation."
The group continued arguing about the front lines, soldiers, and supplies.
Chen Mo stood at the back of the conference room, listened for a while, and then reached out to grasp the doorknob.
Click.
He calmly closed the door.
