A-Train let out a furious roar.

He came charging head-on like an actual locomotive.

The air in the corridor tore apart first, the sound of his charge following behind him.

Chen Mo had just raised his black blade when a black elbow struck his chest, sending him flying backward. His back smashed through the lounge's decorative wall with a boom, showering him with rubble and wood chips.

His carapace, which he had reinforced several times, perfectly defended against the attack.

But if the fight went too smoothly, A-Train might just run away.

So Chen Mo deliberately made several cracks appear in his carapace, pretending the blow had shattered his defenses.

A-Train stood where he was, his eyes gleaming behind his goggles.

"Kid, is that all you've got? Then today's the day you die!!!"

He's fast, and his impact after accelerating is fierce, but I have the advantage in everything except speed. Seriously? This is what The Seven can do? Still, I need to figure out a way to catch him.

Chen Mo climbed out of the wreckage and dusted himself off.

"Pretty impressive, A-Train. At that speed, you must be great at picking cotton. What's your asking price?"

A-Train's pupils contracted, and he charged again.

"I'm going to tear that filthy mouth of yours apart!!!"

The Blacklight Virus became more active than ever. His movements were hard to follow with the naked eye, but through emotional perception, that burning-red mass of killing intent couldn't have been more obvious.

A-Train raced up to Chen Mo, raised a leg, drove in a knee, struck with an elbow, then followed with a spinning side kick. The whole sequence flowed smoothly, so fast that even his afterimages seemed to be attacking.

Chen Mo could only rely on his emotional perception to catch the timing of the attacks, predicting where they would land a half beat in advance and defending against them. When he couldn't block, he took the blows with his enhanced body.

Fists, feet, knees, elbows... blow after heavy blow struck his body, gradually awakening the combat experience Blacklight had devoured.

A-Train punched Chen Mo in the head.

Chen Mo turned his head and broke into an excited grin. The dark red fighting spirit in his eyes burst forth, and Blacklight went berserk with it.

Straight punches, hooks, uppercuts, roundhouse kicks, front kicks... his fists went wherever his eyes looked, striking later but landing first. Once Chen Mo caught up to the rhythm, he pummeled A-Train into a daze, opening a gap in his continuous assault.

Chen Mo seized the opening and drove a fist straight into A-Train's stomach, sending him flying backward.

Bang!

A large, human-shaped hole appeared in the wall. Amid the clouds of dust, A-Train clutched his stomach and retched several times.

"Uh, how is that possible? How could you possibly be faster than me?!?!"

Chen Mo's sudden burst of power even made A-Train feel as though he were facing a different person. The change was too drastic!!!

Then came a surge of rage!

"I'm A-Train! Don't underestimate me, kid!!!"

A-Train climbed out of the wreckage and pounced again. In the center of the hall, the two traded blow for blow, their fists pounding into flesh and setting off ripples of air. Both were moving at such high speed that only two blurred figures could be seen flashing back and forth.

The floor kept breaking apart beneath their fight. Cracks opened in some places, and smoke began to rise. Chen Mo burst through the thick smoke and sent A-Train flying with another punch.

Nearby, Lady Morningstar, who hadn't gotten far, watched in stunned disbelief.

Every time she tried to run, the shockwave from their next collision knocked her over.

They were superhumans too, but compared to A-Train and Chen Mo, they fell far short.

This was a battlefield for monsters now.

A-Train, who had been sent flying, raced back from the far end of the corridor. Using his momentum, he drove Chen Mo into a wall, then accelerated with all his strength and slammed a fist into Chen Mo's chest.

Squelch!

A-Train's fist plunged straight into Chen Mo's chest.

Wild delight flashed in A-Train's eyes, and he spoke with contempt.

"Ha, let's see if that shitty mouth of yours can still talk."

Chen Mo raised a hand, gripped his shoulder, and smiled.

"You fell for it, nigger!"

A-Train's pupils contracted. He tried to pull his hand out, only to discover in horror that Chen Mo's chest had locked it in place.

Black-and-red tendrils burst from Chen Mo's body and lashed around A-Train, binding him tight.

A-Train struggled desperately, but it didn't do a damn thing. Panicking, he shouted in terror.

"Fuck! What the fuck kind of monster are you?! Morningstar! You useless piece of shit! Get over here and help me!!!"

And the moment Chen Mo made his move, he had already turned Echo Girl's sonic output up to maximum.

The next second, a piercing high-frequency sound wave burst from his palm and blasted straight into A-Train's ears.

The floor near the two of them exploded, and every glass light bulb in the hall burst in a rapid series of pops.

Lady Morningstar, who had been about to help, dropped to her knees, clutching her ears and screaming.

A-Train took the sonic blast head-on. His body jerked violently, and blood poured from his eyes and ears.

In that instant.

The deadly black blade plunged into his stomach.

A-Train's mind was a mess. Bound by Blacklight and gravely injured by the sonic blast, he had already hit GG, completely losing the ability to resist.

As the black blade pierced A-Train's body, black-and-red filaments began devouring him frantically.

True fear finally appeared in A-Train's eyes.

"No! No! You can't kill me! Homelander will avenge me!!!"

Chen Mo said nothing, merely driving the black blade a little deeper.

"Bye-bye, buddy. You actually had a few moments where you shone. I didn't really want to kill you that badly, but too bad, your luck ran out."

"Of all days, it had to be today. And of all people, it had to be you."

A-Train's eyes were a little bewildered, bloody foam bubbling at the corners of his mouth. He seemed to want to say something else, but he had no chance.

Chen Mo gripped his head. The black-and-red filaments burst out completely and burrowed in through the wound.

A-Train tried to scream, but all that came from his throat was a rasping "hah, hah."

His memories flooded into Chen Mo's mind.

Being injected with a drug.

Training, becoming the fastest man in the world.

Congratulations from his family.

Tender moments with his girlfriend.

And.

Fear of Homelander.

A-Train breathed his last. His skin rapidly shriveled as Blacklight devoured his flesh inch by inch.

Chen Mo stood where he was, breathing a little heavily, the red glow in his eyes growing brighter.

Super speed. I've got it.

Blacklight has evolved again, though there aren't any new forms.

But its mobility, reaction speed, and muscle strength have all been greatly enhanced.

If I accelerate and throw a punch, could I even take on Homelander?

"Whew. Chen Mo, keep it together. Don't get carried away. You've only just eaten A-Train. He's no big fish."

Still, A-Train, an important character in the original show, had made his exit before the story even began.

"Come to think of it, will Hughie still join The Boys now?"

As Chen Mo pondered this, he lightly pushed off with one foot and shot seven or eight meters away as if he had teleported, kicking the Lady Morningstar, who was trying to sneak away, flying.

"Hey, I haven't announced that the party's over yet. Isn't it a little rude to sneak off on your own?"

Lady Morningstar knelt on the floor, trembling, all the arrogance she had shown on the dance floor gone.

"Please, sir, I really didn't see anything. Spare my life! I-I can be your dog!"

Chen Mo looked down at the woman kneeling on the floor, wagging her tail and begging for mercy.

"Tsk, tsk. You're acting a little out of character, Lady Morningstar."

Seeing an opening, Lady Morningstar hurriedly put on a fawning smile and crawled to Chen Mo's feet.

"Whatever you want, Master, I can play any part! I also know a few elementary school girls who really look up to me. I can call them over to serve you too~~~"

Chen Mo's smile froze on his face. He raised his foot and placed it on Lady Morningstar's head. The woman obediently prostrated herself and lowered her head.

"I like them flat. Off you go."

He pressed down. Lady Morningstar didn't even have time to beg for mercy before her head burst under his foot.

"That's fucking disgusting. I can't even be bothered to eat her. Next... maybe I can try on A-Train's skin and see how well it works."
