"So, you were sent back?"
Tony stood in front of the control panel and asked without looking up.
Pay attention to your word choice.
Chen Mo nestled in the sofa in the underground lab, casually popping a grape into his mouth. "That's not called kicking them out; it's called Kamar-Taj unilaterally suspending friendly exchanges and sending them away via a portal."
"It sounds like they've been sent back after all."
"The main problem is that old men can't afford to play that game."
Chen Mo said with a displeased expression, "I just wanted to find out the coordinates of a few dimensional demons so I could buy some goods from their lair. He insisted that I would bring trouble to Earth, and even talked about cross-dimensional tracking, causal locking, soul marking..."
"Then what?"
"Then I asked him if he could help me get a temporary purchase permit for another world."
Tony finally looked up.
Are you serious?
"I was very sincere."
Chen Mo shrugged. "I even promised to give Kamar-Taj a 5% referral fee after the purchase."
Tony stared at him for two seconds, then lowered his head again.
"That mage has a really good temper."
"What's the meaning?"
"If it were me, I would at least charge you 30% as compensation for emotional distress."
Chen Mo pursed his lips.
The Ancient One didn't waste any more words with him.
The old mage collected all the star charts and opened a portal at Chen Mo's feet. By the time Chen Mo reacted, he had already fallen from Kamar-Taj into a small alley in New York.
They didn't even let him take a cup of tea.
mean.
It's just a few coordinate dimensions, isn't it?
It's not like the Ancient One is personally leading the way.
With nothing else to do, Chen Mo decided to come to Stark Tower to see how far his custom armor had progressed.
When he arrived at the lab, he saw Tony with dark circles under his eyes, struggling with a piece of metal at the workbench.
It hadn't been long since we last met, and his dark circles had gotten even worse.
If you didn't know better, you'd think Stark Industries had recently switched to coal mining and the boss was personally experiencing life in the mines.
Where is my armor?
Chen Mo popped the last grape into his mouth. "You haven't started yet, have you?"
"The main structure is 72% complete."
Tony dragged the virtual model in front of him, and a black and red suit of armor immediately appeared in mid-air. "The energy system, folding module, and biometrics are all complete. Now we're missing the outer layer material."
What materials?
Vibranium.
Tony reached for the wrench, tightened the fixing device twice, and the red light on the device came on again.
Bang!
He slammed the wrench onto the table.
"Damn it, it still doesn't work."
Chen Mo sat up from the sofa and looked at the center of the control panel.
Inside the transparent isolation enclosure, there was a small piece of silver-gray metal. It was smaller than an egg, but it had more than a dozen data cables connected to it, and robotic arms were constantly scanning it from the side.
"This is Vibranium?"
"The last one that can be found on the market right now."
Tony rubbed his temples. " Wakanda has very strict export controls on Vibranium; very little of it is circulating outside. Ulysses Klaue might have some, but that guy recently disappeared."
"So you're planning to use this little bit of stuff to make me a whole suit of armor?"
"It's not pure Vibranium."
Tony pulled up a set of structural diagrams on the screen. "I plan to use it as the core material, reconstruct the metal lattice, and then add titanium, palladium, and several high-strength alloys."
He pointed to the constantly changing model, his speech becoming increasingly rapid.
"By achieving a uniform distribution of Vibranium at the molecular level, the entire suit of armor can gain Energy Absorption capabilities. A composite material with performance approaching that of pure Vibranium can be manufactured using minimal amounts of Vibranium."
"That sounds complicated."
That's called technology.
Tony glanced at him. "Not everyone solves problems by grabbing the target and stuffing it in their mouth."
That's prejudice.
"This is a fact I witnessed with my own eyes."
Chen Mo walked to the control panel and glanced down at the Vibranium a few times.
The Blacklight Virus quickly completed the scan.
Immediately afterwards, the Eternals ' ability to Matter Transmutation began to operate, and the molecular structure inside the Vibranium became clearly visible in his perception.
The structure is indeed very unique.
But that's about it.
Chen Mo opened the isolation shield and reached in to take out the Vibranium.
Tony's expression changed instantly.
"Wait, don't move. That thing is worth at least..."
Click.
Chen Mo used two fingers to squeeze the Vibranium into a ball.
The laboratory fell silent.
Tony stared at the deformed metal in his hand, then at the empty shield, his expression gradually freezing.
What did you just do?
"Test hardness."
You crushed one of my few pieces of Vibranium!
Tony snatched the lump of metal, his eyes twitching with heartache. "This isn't Play-Doh, nor is it some kind of can you picked up off the street. You might not find another piece like it in the entire underground market!"
Chen Mo nodded.
"So what?"
"So?"
Tony took a deep breath and pointed at the lump of Vibranium, "Do you know how many people I contacted for this little bit of material? Seventeen arms dealers, six smuggling rings, and three lunatics who specialize in digging up meteorites!"
"The last one doesn't sound very plausible."
That's not the point!
Tony put the Vibranium back on the table. "The main thing is, this stuff is impossible to buy; once you use it, it's gone. You just wasted at least three days of my time."
Chen Mo looked at his exasperated expression and suddenly laughed.
"Why are you laughing?"
I laugh at you for treating this thing like a treasure.
It was a treasure to begin with.
"No, it is now inexhaustible."
Tony frowned.
"What do you mean?"
Chen Mo did not explain.
He raised his right hand, and dark red biological tissue rapidly spread from his palm, enveloping the deformed Vibranium.
The ability to Matter Transmutation is then activated.
The laboratory floor vibrated slightly. The ordinary metals stored in the body were rapidly decomposed, rearranged at the atomic level, and began to transform according to the structure that had just been resolved.
In the past, such a transformation would have consumed an enormous amount of energy.
Manufacturing a few kilograms is fine, but if you want to mass-produce them, Chen Mo himself would feel the pinch.
But things are different now.
Millions of star nodes are continuously supplying energy throughout the universe. Such a scale of consumption is nothing to him now.
A lump of silvery-gray metal fell from Chen Mo's palm.
Then came the second regiment, and then the third regiment.
The metal piled up rapidly, quickly filling the control panel. Tony instinctively took a step back, watching helplessly as the Vibranium piled higher and higher, eventually crushing the mechanical support next to him.
The alarm immediately went off.
"Sir, a large amount of unknown metal has been detected."
JARVIS's voice echoed throughout the laboratory.
"Preliminary scan results show that its molecular structure is completely identical to Vibranium."
Tony turned his head abruptly.
"Exactly the same?"
"Yes, sir."
What about the impurity content?
"Below the recognition range of existing detection equipment."
Tony fell silent.
He strode over to the pile of metal, picked up the scanner and examined it repeatedly, then passivated a small piece and placed it into the testing device.
Energy absorption, conduction, structural strength.
All the data is fluctuating rapidly.
Ultimately, every result surpassed the sample he had just prepared.
Chen Mo flexed his wrists.
Is that enough?
Tony did not answer.
If that's not enough, I'll get you some more.
Chen Mo raised his hand, and new Vibranium continued to appear.
"Etc!"
Tony snapped back to reality. "Stop! The floor has a limited weight capacity!"
Chen Mo stopped in time.
By this time, the silver-gray Vibranium had piled up to the top of the laboratory. Large pieces of metal fused together, eventually forming a single Vibranium as tall as a person.
The light shone on the surface, reflecting a cold luster.
Tony stood there, looking up at the piece of metal in front of him that was enough to drive the entire black market crazy, and remained silent for a long time.
He suddenly felt that the composite material solution he had spent two sleepless nights researching seemed to have lost its meaning.
Chen Mo patted him on the shoulder.
Stop spacing out.
"Hurry up and finish the armor."
Tony stared at the life-sized Vibranium and fell into deep thought.
