The smoke and dust in the laboratory had not yet dissipated.
Thor, covered in dust, lay at the bottom of the pit, half his face buried in the rubble, his long blond hair a mess, and a few pieces of concrete still clinging to his beard.
Chen Mo stood at the edge of the pit, looking down at the burly, bearded man who had fallen from the ceiling, and fell into a brief silence.
Is this Thor?
It does look quite similar to the one in the movie.
The way they made their entrance was a bit undignified.
"You know him?" Tony stood beside him, looking up at the large hole above the lab, then at Thor at the bottom of the pit. "Or is this some recent enemy you've made?"
"I don't know him."
Chen Mo shook his head, his expression somewhat complicated.
"But I roughly know who he is."
"That makes things easier."
Tony pointed to the ceiling. "Could you please tell me his home address? I'm going to send the repair bill to his rich old man."
Chen Mo couldn't be bothered to pay any attention to Tony.
Looking at the unconscious Thor at the bottom of the pit, he couldn't help but start making plans.
Is Odin getting senile?
If anyone's going to throw something away, they should throw over Loki, the one they picked up.
How could someone just abandon their own son like that, airdropping him directly from Asgard onto their face without even giving them a parachute?
Isn't he afraid that he might get a sudden craving and swallow this big, clumsy guy as a health supplement?
JARVIS.
Tony raised his hand, and armor parts flew in from all around, quickly covering his body.
"Scan this person's vital signs and check if he is carrying any dangerous weapons."
"Sir, his body structure is similar to that of a human, but his muscle density, bone strength, and cellular energy response far exceed those of a normal human."
JARVIS paused for a moment.
"Furthermore, the hammer next to him cannot be detected."
Tony looked down at the short-handled hammer.
The hammer lay at Chen Mo's feet, its surface covered in dust, occasionally crackling with tiny sparks of electricity.
What does "unable to detect" mean?
"Literally, sir."
"It sounds like the camera is glued on."
Tony bent down, reached out and grasped the hammer handle, preparing to move it.
One second later.
The hammer didn't budge.
Tony raised an eyebrow, gripped the hammer handle with both hands, and the armor that had appeared on his shoulders emitted a deep mechanical sound.
"Sir, I suggest you don't do that."
"I just want to confirm exactly how heavy it is."
Tony gritted his teeth, and the power output of his arm armor instantly increased.
His feet left two shallow dents in the ground.
The hammer still didn't react.
Chen Mo stood beside him with his arms crossed, quietly watching Tony's face gradually turn red.
"Do you want me to find you a crowbar?"
"Shut up."
Tony increased his strength.
The result was the same.
The hammer handle didn't even wobble.
" JARVIS, switch to maximum output."
"Sir, are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
Tony's palm cannons glowed white, and his armored arms simultaneously unleashed their power. The powerful force shattered the surrounding debris, and the instruments in the laboratory sounded alarms.
But the hammer remained lying quietly on the ground.
It was as if they were silently mocking a billionaire who called himself a genius.
After watching for a few seconds, Chen Mo couldn't help but ask, "Are you sure you can handle this?"
"Of course I can!"
Tony abruptly released his grip, his body jolting back two steps due to inertia.
"The problem is with this hammer; it doesn't follow physics."
"They've stopped talking about physics, so what's the point of trying to reason with them?"
"I'm doing research."
What were the research findings?
Tony glanced at the hammer on the ground and said expressionlessly, "It's heavy."
Chen Mo nodded.
"That's a good conclusion; at least we didn't waste too much time."
The distant horizon.
A golden palace sits nestled among the mountains, the light of the Bifrost just fading.
Odin sat on his throne, his hand resting on the Gungnir, gazing calmly down.
None of the palace guards spoke.
Loki stood by the steps, his expression still gentle, only a fleeting, imperceptible complex emotion flashing in his eyes.
Thor has been banished.
His divine power was stripped away.
Mjolnir was also sent to Midgard by his father.
Everything was going according to plan, except that he hadn't gone to sleep yet.
Odin slowly closed his eyes.
Inside the laboratory.
The rubble at the bottom of the pit suddenly moved.
Thor closed his eyes and let out a low groan.
His consciousness was still stuck on the moment he was driven away by his father.
Odin's angry voice.
The gods looked on in astonishment.
Loki stood to the side, looking as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.
And then there was that verdict that he couldn't accept.
You are not worthy of the name God of Thunder.
"Father..."
Thor rolled over and hit his forehead on a rock on the ground.
With a bang.
He frowned, but still did not wake up.
Chen Mo squatted by the pit, observing Thor's condition.
Is he still asleep?
"Vascular signs are stable."
Tony opened his visor and glanced at the bottom of the crater. "His head was hit, but there's no serious injury. By human standards, his physical abilities are truly extraordinary."
"Then let him stay lying there."
Chen Mo stood up. "Anyway, you don't have a bed here."
"Etc."
Tony suddenly looked at Chen Mo, "You're not planning to swallow him whole, are you?"
"I'm still thinking about it."
What are you considering?
"It's mainly about the taste."
Tony's expression turned serious.
"Chen, I don't want you eating people in my lab."
Strictly speaking, he's not human.
That won't work either.
"You have a serious case of food racism."
Tony pointed to Thor on the ground. "He fell from the sky, and he's carrying an undetectable weapon. We should figure out what happened before deciding whether to hand him over to S.H.I.E.L.D.., or..."
"Still?"
"Let's send him back to heaven."
Chen Mo glanced at the large hole above his head.
"How do you plan to deliver it? Build another elevator that goes directly to his house?"
I can give it a try.
"I think you should deal with this hammer first."
Tony looked down.
The short-handled hammer still lay quietly on the ground.
He was silent for two seconds, then turned and walked towards the control panel.
" JARVIS, prepare the lifting equipment."
"Sir, the laboratory's lifting equipment has a maximum load capacity of forty tons, which is less than the maximum output of your armored vehicle."
"Then prepare ten units."
What if even ten units can't be moved?
"Then prepare one hundred units!"
Watching Tony's busy figure, Chen Mo suddenly realized that this guy did indeed resemble Thor in some ways.
A person who likes to smash problems with a hammer.
One who likes to use technology to attack problems.
The only difference is that Thor's hammer is unruly, while Tony's JARVIS will still listen to him a bit.
Thor at the bottom of the pit snorted again.
This time, he finally slowly opened his eyes.
My vision was initially obscured by dust, but I gradually came to see my surroundings clearly.
Unfamiliar metal walls.
A broken ceiling.
Dozens of metal arms are in operation.
And there was Chen Mo, standing at the edge of the pit, looking down at him.
Thor slowly regained consciousness.
He remembered being banished by his father, falling from the Bifrost, and being sent down to Earth with Mjolnir, the weapon that carried the power of God of Thunder.
But who are these two strangers in front of me?
Why are they standing on top of themselves?
More importantly...
How dare that guy touch Mjolnir?
Thor's face instantly darkened.
He braced himself with his hands on the ground and stood up from the bottom of the pit.
Gravel kept rolling down his shoulders.
"Presumptuous!"
Thor looked up at Chen Mo and Tony, his voice making the laboratory walls vibrate.
"Who gave you permission to look down upon Asgard's first warrior?"
Tony paused for a moment.
He turned to look at Chen Mo.
Did he damage his brain?
"Probably not."
Chen Mo observed Thor intently, "It's probably just that the factory settings make it seem arrogant."
How dare you insult me!
Thor roared and reached for Mjolnir on the ground.
Tony just released the hammer handle.
Thor gripped the hammer handle with all five fingers and pulled it upwards with a sudden jerk.
The hammer didn't budge.
The anger on his face froze.
" Mjolnir?"
Thor launched another attack.
This time, he planted his feet firmly on the ground, his arm muscles were completely taut, and the veins on his forehead bulged.
The hammer still didn't move.
Instead, a piece of Thor's fingernail broke off first.
Bright red blood flowed down his fingers.
The laboratory was eerily quiet.
Thor looked down at his calloused fingers, his eyes widening in shock.
His arrogant expression gradually froze.
For the first time, he realized that he seemed to have truly lost something.
Chen Mo stood at the edge of the pit and sighed softly.
Don't waste your energy. You're just an ordinary person now.
Thor looked up, his face filled with disbelief.
"Impossible."
Chen Mo pointed to the hammer.
"The facts are right here."
Thor looked at Mjolnir, then at his own bleeding fingers.
The next second, he roared in unbearable anger.
"That's impossible!"
Tony stood to the side and clapped his hands.
"Welcome to Earth, Mr. Hairy Monster."
He glanced at the large hole above his head.
"Just a reminder, the ceiling repair costs will be charged in your name."
